Yes or clicked like.

"Charge them all" implies to me that all of his FB friends should be held accountable with no evidence that they actually saw it.

I didn't take it literally. JMO and maybe I read it wrong.

I am appalled that his current wife/widow could have known of his plans and did not try to warn anyone that this was happening. She could have phoned a tip line. She could have walked up to a beat cop. She could have called Pulse and warned the staff, yet she did nothing.

I've been wondering if he threatened to kill their 3 year old child, and do it in front of her, if she said anything to anyone. And if that's why she kept quiet. Just speculation.

Those people were walking diseases, bug chasers, and thank god for AIDS and 9-11 and now Orlando. San Diego you are next …"

Bug chasers? He apparently did a bit of research. In case anyone is unfamiliar with the term "bug chaser", it refers to gay men that have a fetish for sex with HIV 🤬🤬🤬 men, they are turned on by the idea of being infected during unprotected sex.

If I frequented gay clubs in San Diego I would take heed of the warning. I think it sounds like a very legit, specific threat (unless there were lots of bizarre threats but I don't get that impression).

Interesting, I wonder if his body has been washed and shrouded in cloth yet by his family?

Speaking of cloth, a few years ago my middle school age children went to school with a 'moderate' muslim kid, his parents well respected in the community. He was a popular kid, good looking, athletic and well liked by all. My kids had known him all their lives. Apparently, his parents were nipping on the heals of a divorce and he decided to commit suicide as a way of 'restoring honor' to his family's name (or so rumor has it.) He succeeded. Somehow, this was kept out of the media aside from the customary obituary. My 5th and 6th graders (a boy and a girl) attended the funeral, along with the rest of their classmates. The females (including his mother) weren't allowed to attend the grave side service but the boys were. They carried the casket to the grave site and were instructed to lift his little body, draped lightly in cloth, out of the casket. They were then ordered to toss the body into the hole in the ground as if it were little more than garbage. Following that, everyone helped shovel dirt over it.
‎
My kids spent six months in therapy. Their friend's suicide was horrific enough but the customary practices of his funeral were beyond traumatizing. Had I known more about their burial customs I would have NEVER allowed my children to attend. It never dawned on me that my son would have to help throw his friend's dead body into a dirt hole. ‎

CARIIS I haven't gone through your whole post yet but..

IS will be acutely embarrassed if the emerging story of Mateen's homosexuality becomes the dominant narrative.

. "The men kissing each other that [his father says] offended him happened in Miami, not here; and it's a two-hour drive from his home in Fort Pierce to Orlando – why this town and this club?

Maybe he had gone to Pulse before. Maybe that's where he saw men kissing and maybe HE was kissing someone there. It would make sense, (Maybe he didn't want to run into anyone from Pulse?) Then he tells his father a story to overcompensate "Not only am I not gay it makes me sick to see two men together."

That would fall right in line with how an abuser operates. Threaten kids and pets.

Isn't it the law in certain states to be embalmed in a casket and placed in a vault?

charge them all.

This may not be popular BUT that is reaching, unless they can prove that those people are /were in the know, what if they never read his posts!

A store refused to sell him bulk ammo due to suspicious behavior. He was talking to others in a middle eastern dialect on the phone as well as exchanging text messages IN THE STORE!

Who was he talking too? I don't think for one minute he would be calling/texting people about casual dinner plans while buying the supplies for a mass killing. Since the store did not carry bullet proof vests I bet he was contacting his accomplice friends and telling them about the glitch.

Employees at a Florida gun shop declined to sell Orlando nightclub terrorist Omar Mateen bulk ammunition last month after seeing him engage in suspicious behavior, according to a published report.

Staff at Lotus Gunworks of South Florida, located in Jensen Beach near Mateen's home, told The Wall Street Journal that Mateen had also asked for heavy-duty body armor of a type typically used by law enforcement. The store does not sell body armor.

Robbie Abell, the store's co-owner, said that Mateen spoke on the phone in a Middle Eastern-sounding language and was repeatedly texting on his phone.

No. Embalming is optional. I assumed that bodies required some form of a casket but only because I never thought anyone would want to bury their dead in such a primative sort of way. But it's not against the law if it's a religious burial.

Why wouldn't he be speaking Arabic? JMO but he's probably bilingual and could have been talking to a friend or family member. Did anyone in the store understand what he was saying?

Pretty sure embalming isn't required if the body is buried within a certain amount of time. Orthodox Jews for instance do not believe in embalming. The vault thing likely is required in some states to protect underground water tables and also prevent bodies from floating around during floods.

If his body still hasn't been claimed it probably won't be. Muslims are required to bury the dead asap so waiting around to plan a funeral several days out would not be acceptable. It is possible the family is having a hard time finding someone to intern the body but I am sure they could hire a secular funeral parlor.

If I were the gov I might want to set up a grave site just to see who pays homage to the martyr.

Mateen had smoked marijuana, used steroids and been expelled from high school in the ninth grade for fighting, according to records dating to last year obtained by The Washington Post.

He said he had been convicted of a crime, placed on probation and had a criminal conviction sealed or expunged. He did not specify the offense.

He said he spoke excellent Farsi and good Arabic. The email address he listed using: [email protected].

[h=1]Jack'd app says it has no record of Mateen[/h]
The CEO of Jack'd, a Tinder-like gay chat and dating app, says he hasn't been contacted by law enforcement since reports surfaced late Monday Orlando shooter Omar Mateen might have been using the app for at least a year.

The service also hasn't been able to substantiate Mateen had been a member, said Hector Camacho, CEO of Jack'd parent company Online Buddies.

therapy+dog+orlando.png

ORLANDO, Fla. (WCTV) -- Lots of people in Orlando are in need of healing, and a special group of therapists is there to help -- therapy dogs that is.

These animals are professionally trained for times of crisis.

The 'Sit Means Sit' program brings therapy dogs to areas where people are hurting and if Wednesday was any indication, they're doing a great job.

These mobile therapy dogs can bring a smile to just about anyone's face. Laura Countryman and her dog George have been all over Orlando bringing a little bit of comfort to those affected by Sunday's mass shooting.

"Just came up, touched on them, hugged on them, and they said it helped them a lot to have him there," Countryman says.

"On my way down here, my prayer was that he would find the person he needed to find, to help. And so far making the rounds, it seems to be happening," Fogerty says.

These dogs will continue to make stops around the Orlando area wherever they are needed. All in the hopes of bringing a little bit of comfort back to those that have lost so much this past week.

Wow. Just wow.

Wow is right. That interview is going to bring him a LOT of new followers.

Fact is, while we may not like some of his positions, he is smart and well spoken.
