In a brief statement to reporters Monday, Sheriff Russ Russ Gibson said deputies were called to the home about 9 a.m. about a suspicious death. However, a log obtained by the Orlando Sentinel described the nature of the call that led deputies to the home as a “wanted person.”

The log indicates that at least 40 Sheriff’s Office personnel were dispatched to the house.

Connecticut family linked to deaths of 4 people near Orlando, Fla.

Could the "wanted person" be related to the fraud investigation?

He was found inside the residence with the bodies of his wife, three children and the family dog.
How long were they all dead?
Really curious as to why he was taken to hospital. This is Florida, with the sunshine laws, so hopefull we'll get more info prior to trial. If there is one.
Also, now wondering if there was a mistress?

Celebration death investigation may have ties to Connecticut

Snipped
Augustin said the first indication something might be amiss came last Friday when the owner of the house came by and was peering in the windows. He told Augustin he was trying to determine if his renters had moved out because they had failed to pay the rent. He also said the power company had shut off the electricity.

WESH 2 News confirmed through Osceola County court records related to the family's eviction from the home last month, and Connecticut election records, as well as a comparison of email addresses on business documents, that the home was leased by Tony and Megan Todt, originally from Connecticut.

40 law enforcement went to the house? Did they bring in SWAT?
That's ALOT of law enforcement.
I can't imagine that's a normal response. Either that or the reporter is full of it?

Do we know why he went to the hospital instead of jail?

Because of attempted suicide. No information on what exactly that means here, though.

So, he was looking at an investigation, and some money problems. So, he decides to kill his entire family? Now he's looking at prison for life, and being hated by many.
That was his answer to his problems?
I can't even wrap my head around this. Why didn't he just off himself?
I will never understand.

It's never rational.

-- Two facts that don't jive with the 'family falls of financial cliff' theory is (1) they owned a condo in the same neighborhood that is valued at $277,000 which was purchased in 2005 and (2) Megan, his wife, still retained her license to practice as a physical therapist. If they were on hard financial times, I don't understand why they don't just live in the condo - it might be a bit cramped, but the house they were renting was over $40000/month. If the condo was too small and unbearable, they certainly could have found a much more affordable rental home in Orlando area. The family did live in the condo for a short period of time waiting for the rental house to be ready. I can't say if the condo is vacant or not, or if they rented it out as a source of income. I also can't say if the condo is mortgaged or owned outright.

Again, this is never rational. He would have to lose face and come clean to his family to tap into any of those resources which would be worse than killing them. Family annihilators don't do that - they kill instead.

Been missing or not heard from since at minimum the 6th and that was the dad- mom and kids not seen since dec 15th - family asking for help but didn’t ask police to do welfare check? So confusing
If the wife & children had been passed away for some time the smell would have been atrocious to any neurotypical & 100 times worse to anyone with an olfactory sensory processing disorder. In fact I’m pretty sure that anyone with Olfactory SPD (autistic or not) would have smelled these poor souls wayyyyyyyyyyy before now, if that is how they were found. That’s just JMO.MOO.

Seems like a family annihilator situation, yet crazy that reports of an entire missing family stayed so quiet and took this long for some details to start coming out.

If the father's stress was over evictions, bills, medicaid fraud, etc - it seems even more odd that he would kill his entire family but not himself.
My gut feeling was & is that when it came time to kill himself, he chickened out.

I don't think it has anything to do with Disney, legally. Just in image. There are numerous articles about what happened in deterioration graft, etc after Disney sold the downtown area. Lots of scandals. The rest had already been sold to private individuals. Just google celebration, what went wrong.

Could he have called the police himself? Maybe that's how they knew to turn up with 40 officers.

What are you referring to?
the article about Anthony's father hiring someone to kill Anthonies mother, when he was a kid. And the fact according to those newspaper articles that even though she lost an eye and carried a bullet in her brain, she stuck up for him. The article was poste d about 2 pages ago, and then just now the part about her sticking by him. Even though he had a fiance who didn't even know he was married. The father of the guy who they just arrested along with the dead bodies of his family.

Going through that as a kid clearly had some kind of very terrible affects. :(

I’m shocked how little traction this case is getting everywhere. Link below, TTs dad paid someone to kill his mom. She survived.
Link about Tony's mother's shooting Com. v. Todt

and Tony’s wife ?I wonder if she knew about this when they were dating. Wow
