Yes, I'm one of 2 that brought up the big 3. Drugs, sex, gambling. But long rambling posts about this casino and that casino and all the gambling buddies isn't germaine to the discussion, IMO. While we assume gambling fits, we don't know for sure. Jmo

As long as gambling hasn’t been ruled out, what casinos are nearby, how they operate, and what they might know are, I think, fair game for conversation. If it’s too off-topic, a mod will let us know.

The picture of him shows a man who appears to have put on a great deal of weight. Look how wide his face and neck is. Does anyone know what may cause this? He is almost freakish looking to me.

That looks like alcohol and high fat and carbohydrate weight gain to me.

Stress eating? Jmo
Right. An Asian high roller I know told me she started out at 90 lbs (which was her weight her whole adult life) and after she started gambling she gained almost 40 lbs. That’s 45%. Sitting around for hours at tables n machines and stressing out over losses. She also had a stroke at one point from the stress at a young age too. Drs told her to stay out of Cassie but of course she won’t.

From NBC News —

“He first denied the fraud accusations, then admitted that he started "adding stuff" to randomly chosen patients bills, according to the court documents. He said his wife and employees were unaware of the scheme.

The business had borrowed from 20 different lenders between 2015 and 2018, the documents said. In one month in 2017 alone, the business had taken out nearly $100,000 in short term loans.”

This is the pattern of a HL gambler to a T. When you’re playing at a certain level after a while a $100,000 feels like $100. You literally lose site of the value of money. I’ve seen people make many withdrawals in one night of this type of money from the cage at casinos. The more they lose, they more they withdraw trying to win it back.

And the reason many keep it a secret from family besides the obvious is that they see it as 2 separate worlds. One where they are big shot high rollers who can drink for free all night and to whom all of the women flock and the hosts cowtow to, and the other where they are an overweight father with massive debt and impending eviction notices.

What other explanation could there be for someone needing so much money when he is capable of making plenty. A girlfriend? Maybe.

Can a physical therapist make prescriptions?

Until we know otherwise, I'm not ruling out some kind of secret life he may have been trying to hide from his wife that was costing him a lot of money.

It does appear he was traveling back and forth between CT and FL every weekend. That would be very expensive, and I wouldn't also be surprised, if due to all of the travel, he was spending less time at his office and had a reduced patient load which would have impacted his income.

We may never know. He confessed, so what’s next? Will Fl prosecutors seek the death penalty. Maybe that was part of the plea deal and already off the table.

IMO, I don't think his confession was part of a plea deal. It appears he was interrogated, confessed and was charged. As to what happens next is anyone's best guess, IMO. It is radio silent in terms of info and status from LE. They are likely still investigating. Hopefully we'll know more soon.

...If I didn't know anything about him, I'd think medications immediately. But eating his feelings seems more likely.

The only meds that make you gain weight that fast are oral steroids. Big doses too.

<modsnip: quoted post was removed> I'm shocked over their rent in Celebration.

Disney town dad who confessed to killing family lived with the bodies for at least two weeks | Daily Mail Online

The Todts had recently moved from Colchester, Connecticut, to Celebration, Florida. They had lived in Florida two years, and court documents show the couple was served with an eviction notice December 22.

A total of $6,300 was reportedly owed for December ($4,921) and January rents at the North Village home. The couple's one-year lease runs until the end of April 2020.

However, they owned another home 500 feet away on Longview Avenue.

Weight gain can happen with other meds too. I recently gained 20 kilos being on a new anti-depressant medication. I needed only 2 weeks for that:confused:.

Been traveling. Just checking in. Has anything been said in MSM or (unofficially) on SM regarding the COD for the family??

Ughhhh! I just hope it was something they didn’t see or know what coming. Like an OD of sorts. Went to sleep and never woke up. I will never understand killing your family but I REALLY don’t understand how violent some can be. I love my babies so much. I just don’t understand.

That is a lot, and I hope you had it checked out. Efexor results in weight gain, but not that much, usually. Neurontin and Lyrica too, also not usually more than 10 pounds.

Here in Germany that med is called mirtazapin. I went to the doctor and take a different one now.:)

It doesn’t take big doses of prednisone to cause weight gain. And prednisone can cause psychosis. Every now and then I have to take it for an autoimmune disease. Those who have to take it regularly report these issues frequently.

I’m not saying he took this. But I wanted to clarify that it really doesn’t have to be huge doses to cause either of these issues.
