I don't care if I am in Timbuktu, I am not handing my baby over to anyone without police force.

Is there another child? I don't recall reading that but I must admit, I skimed the article quickly.

One of the comments said why would they think they would only take the newborn and not the other child.

Just wondering if there is another child?

I'll go back and read again.

My gosh, this beautiful baby is only 3 weeks old - I'm feeling panicked for him. Hope he is found safe and sound VERY soon!

The Sheriff said there was another child, IIRC.

His clothes had a flower on the front? That's odd for a boy.

There was a case a few months ago (maybe more), Yair Carillo from Tennessee. The mother was also followed by a woman around town on her errands. The abductor claimed to be with immigration, demanded to see papers, attacked, and Yair (4 days old) was taken.

It does happen.

Yair was found alive a few days later. If I'm remembering correctly, video surveillance did help in that case.

I'm hoping that Melvin will also be found quickly.

I remember that case.

But, the difference was she was attacked and the abductor TOOK her baby.
This baby was handed to the person and they waited 2 hours to report it.

Ok, my alarm will be ringing in a few hours.

I pray for this baby boy and this family. I truely hope they had nothing to do with it and the baby is found soon.

Goodnight y'all!

My son had a couple of onsies that had pink in them and I wore him them on them. (they were gifts) Easier than going to the store and returning something when you are pregnant/just had a baby. He couldn't tell what he was wearing. lol

At home? Or did you bring him to the Dr and to run errands in it? lol
I'm all about useing what you have. But, IMO if I was gonna bring my son to the hosp and to run errands, he would not have flowers on his shirt.

JMO - not saying the parents are bad for dressing him that way, just kinda struck me as odd.

I don't think flowers are only for girls. Yes, typically more girls would wear flowers or be "into" flowers. But I hate the genderization of certain objects. Does it matter if he was wearing flowers? Or a bright pink onesie, for that matter?

I wore them on him whenever I grabbed it from the dresser. LOL

Boys can't like flowers?

I guess I don't see the big deal.

My boyfriend wears pink dress shirts and I even believe he has a Hawaiian shirt that is covered in flowers, that he pulls out in the summer.

BBM. Oh my, it's definitely time for me to sleep. I read this and saw, "My boyfriend wears pink dresses...."
Sorry for the OT

Prayers for baby Melvin to be found safe and sound and returned to those who love him.

Per JSO Sheriff Rutherford, the infant was recovered alive & well and was reunited with his parents only moments ago.

Thanks for efforts of U.S. Marshalls, JSO Forensics [abductor left some type of evidence at the home], and Shands Hospital in Jacksonville.

Presser w/more info at 10 a.m. Eastern.

p.s. Parents are Haitian.

The on-air peeps are so relieved and happy to finally have a happy ending to a missing child case. It's been a long difficult time for them lately. Bruce Hamilton and Staci Spanos are all misty-eyed, happy tears.

Sheriff John Rutherford spoke to the public just before 7 a.m. Wednesday and said 3-week-old Melvin Duclos was found safely and he is unharmed.

Rutherford said evidence found at the victim's residence led them to the woman who kidnapped the baby. He said the woman is in custody at JSO and is being questioned by police. Duclos was reunited with his parents.

Rutherford said his department received help from the U.S. Marshal's Office, the FBI and FDLE.
"Their help was invaluable," he said.

Rutherford said the next news conference would be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday. He said more information would be released at that time.
