I am LMAO about the "snacks" SB has requested. She is a piece of work.

Her contract 'rider'. Next up, she'll be asking for fresh flowers, a certain quality of sheets, and that no one looks her in the eye.

Her blouse today perfectly matched the courtroom chairs in green. The last outfit looked just like her usual jail uniform in dark blue, plus little puffy sleeves.

If SB was not being given sufficient time to sleep in between each daily court hearing, that would be a human rights issue. Sleep deprivation is a form of torture. Nothing to do with whether she can shower or not.

Why is she having to be up at 2am in order to be transported and then not returned until 9pm? Is there proof of this allegation or is it more of Owens being ridiculous on behalf of SB?
That’s very typical when it comes to jail transport. There are bunch of different phases to it that involve searches and chaining them up in different areas, and adding different inmates to the group.
I subpoenaed a witness once from jail and he called collect and begged me not to make him come because it is such a hellish thing to be transported. I was surprised by that!

Judge is going to rule on some of the outstanding motions very soon. If he denies SB's snacks request, I fully expect her to stage some kind of fainting episode in court in an effort to make them "see" how much she needs her snacks. It is all about SB after all.

Feed is live. Sarah coming in shackled at the waist, looking quite snug and proud of herself. Two piece suit, skirt. Pretending to be a lawyer today.

Star of her own soap opera. Victim who? Sarah is all Sarah.

Looks like she got her "cup" of water

Beginning with BSS motion --

State is saying there's no evidence of self-defense or an overt act of BS prior, so the State is asking the judge to rule. Either SB has to testify to it or it should be ruled out.

Defense is confused. Judge summarizes -- there has to be a factual finding of self- defense. Asks the D to explain the sufficient, factual basis of their expert's testimony/opinion. Answer: Dr. Harper's impression of SB over time and Dr. Harper's experience.

Defense claims SB was unaware she suffered BSS.

Defense is talking in circles. Says evidence at trial will reveal cause for self-defense.

Judge and State say that's not how it works.

Overt act is lacking.

Defense says there is an overt act, his hand coming out of the suitcase.

That was her threat.

Not impressed with the defense - they seem to be in over their heads

Judge rules: State's Motion to have self defense BSS ruled out completely, denied.

Preclude mention and expert testimony of BS until evidence of self defense is established. (Except in their opening).

This is so convoluted.

Sarah said she thought he could get out, because of the two finger zipper gap. So his death was unintentional.

But now the Defense is saying that his fingers at the zipper triggered BSS and was the overt act for which self-defense comes in.

My head is on backwards.

The Defense seems to be arguing about jury instructions. Well out of turn.

They seem to want all of references to Sarah's guilt to be scrubbed from her videos.

Wow.

Wow. Judge ruled that LE's statements of her guilt need to be redacted.

State received 500 pages of Torres medical records, State says JT being a victim of an unrelated crime is irrelevant and would bog the jury down.

Defense says their expert reviewed all those records to reach her opinion.

Defense says it's premature to whittle down the evidence. Judge says the Defense is responsible to do so now.

Owen: I don't know. I still have time. (In making it up as I go, sounds like to me.) MOO

Says he's not prepared today to put on his Defense but plans to put on evidence that when JT had a high BAL, that's when he was violent or threatened violence.

Judge is asking for relevance of nurse reports to a 2017 facial reconstruction surgery.

Defense continues to say THEY won't know what's relevant until SB testifies.

My head hurts.
