The lawyer at the hearing said that Jim Bob was in FL since Saturday waiting to bail him out. Unless the amount of bail (10% would be $60k) changed their minds, it seems like bailing him out was the plan.
And Jill was a bad daughter because she tasted Pina Colada.

$650,000. That is a chunk of cash. That would be 10% cash, and rest in assets. I am sure his family has that available. I can't believe he is allowed to go home to all of those children. No unsupervised contact. It seems to me that he molested the victim in front of others, under a blanket.
That's a very good point about the effectiveness of supervision.

Albert Sauline, who is representing Duggar on the Florida charges, said Duggar posted bond and was scheduled to fly home to Arkansas later Tuesday.

“Our No. 1 goal is to make sure he is treated fairly,” especially because of his celebrity status, Sauline said.

That last sentence really lands wrong, in more ways than one. But "Celebrity Status"?

Not surprising all things considered.

'Hours after his first court appearance in Florida, Joseph Duggar was already out on bond and taking a flight out of Florida—and the speed of it all is raising serious questions. In this episode of Hidden True Crime, Lauren breaks down the explosive new details: a not guilty plea despite a reported confession, a $600,000 bond posted within hours, and a Duggar family statement that acknowledges a “victim” while simultaneously rallying behind their son. As new information emerges about Kendra’s living situation, ongoing jail calls, and the growing scrutiny surrounding the Duggar inner circle, including Jim Bob Duggar and Michelle Duggar—the contradictions are becoming harder to ignore.'

Lauren: Duggar Dejavu - sorry not a funny topic but that line from her had me giggling. Because, yeah, here we go again with this family.

“I thought it was neat to have that many kids. I enjoyed watching all the shows,” says local David Pfahler. But now, he says, “I’m thinking: What else don’t we know about the Duggars?”

With public scrutiny mounting after a second Duggar has been accused of pedophilia, cousin Amy Duggar King questions the family’s fundamentalist upbringing.

“I’m sickened but not surprised,” says King, 39, an outspoken critic who remains in touch with Jill Duggar Dillard, Joseph and Josh’s sister.

“This reflects a deeper systemic issue,” King continues. “When they grow up around environments where the power is unchecked, and men are elevated and not held accountable, and silence is encouraged and rewarded, it creates the perfect conditions for abuse to happen and to continue.”

Baylor University history professor Beth Allison Barr sees another problem: “You have young men growing up in this religious culture that teaches them women’s bodies belong to them.”

A family source put it another way, bluntly describing their dynamics to PEOPLE in 2021: “Jim Bob always wants to sweep things under the rug.”

I think JD still has to appear for the Arkansas pending charges?
How I see this now with him not being able to be with any children "unsupervised " under the age of 18, which would include his 4 children that it's all up to CPS to monitor him.
That leaves great concerns in my book.

in Lauren's recent Hidden True Crime video with the phone calls between Kendra and Joseph at the 37:00 mark Kendra cautions Joseph that emails are like phone calls, meaning they can be read and disseminated. The only exception is if they are to or from his attorney. In other words, don't say anything in emails because just like these calls, they are not private and can be used against you.

It is disgusting that Kendra has young children that need protection, yet she is trying to protect her abuser husband.

I gather they don't think that applies to their phone discussions which have been made public.
The disregard they have for the 9 yr old victim of JD's SA is frightening.
They show us what having a sense of religious entitlement can do when you're intellectually and emotionally stunted.
Thanks K & J.

awe, baby (in that baby girl voice) ugg. Just gross. Lauren called it, these two sound emotionally stunted, like very emotionally immature.

The celebrity status part isn't in quotation marks and wonder if that is just a misprint or if the author doesn't know how to write an article.

The lawyer could have meant celebrities get picked on so we need to make sure he gets a fair trial. If it is what he meant he worded it very poorly and not a good look for a lawyer.

How comforting./s
@9:28 JD references Joseph ( Coat of Many Colors) and tells KD that he is doing what Joseph did which was "embrace the situation and serve God".
This is getting beyond confusing because JD confessed to the SA and now he's religiously fashioning himself after a biblical prophet who was said to have the divine gift of interpreting dreams.

Biblical Joseph was put in prison for rape.
When he refused the advances from his master Potiphar's wife she falsely accused him of rape so Potiphar imprisoned him.
Joseph then interprets his master's dream and he is set free.

It seems as if he’s trying to make himself a victim. And hiding behind the Bible to do so.

Sauline says, "He has to be treated as fairly as anyone else, regardless of his status in the television industry". The intent in his statement is the same, regardless of words used.

Lauren posted the full phone calls between Joe and Kendra a short time ago. Have a barf bag ready if you listen.

Wow. I listened to the phone calls from Joe to Kendra.

They are both 100% detached from reality and all cult jello brain.

Kendra is dealing with her charges, she shares with her husband, and he's like, oh, yeah, I saw they served me with something, but I couldn't deal with it, so I just glanced at them then read the bible they gave me and it gave me peace. Meanwhile, Kendra is trying to take care of the family business and the charges she's facing while, it appears, pretty seriously, chronically ill.

Every time Kendra brings up her realistic stress, Joe talks over her, then tells her he has the same or worse problems but he gets peace from reading the bible and zoning out. So she stops talking about herself and turns to talking about his comfort and need to have things to read.

Her children are not in her custody, it appears from what is said in the phone call, and she wonders if he has a pillow and enough reading material.

He admitted to molesting a nine year old, and she wonders if he has a pillow and enough reading material.

They have no idea how messed up it is to be concerned about if Joe can find peace with being in a jail cell, when their own children have had their lives turned upside-down, and a teenager has to deal with the fact that Joe molested her when she was nine. (As is alleged that occurred and that he allegedly admitted to.)

They talk about seeing what God has planned for them, because it is apparently all about their journey through charges of endangering, imprisoning, and in Joes case, molesting children. It's all about them...or maybe it's all about Joe.

Meanwhile, Joes family are quadrupling her dependence on him while he is incarcerated, lessening the odds she ever leaves that headspace and focuses on the victims, not Joe, and her own heath, not Joe's comfort.

It's painful for me to listen to. And I'm not one of the victims.
