I'm not sure I get this. Is the defense arguing that the judge in this case should recuse herself because she was the judge in another case related to the victim in this case? What would this have to do with a judge's ability to be impartial? Very strange.

The judge was a judge in proceedings with DJT. I believe that's the conflict of interest iiuc.

It's a stretch to say that that is a conflict of interest. More nonsense from Routh based on his political agenda.

They should just change the judge to avoid any appeal.
Cannon's attitude about cases involving the victim has already been marked in a successful appeal to the 11th Circuit in Dec 2022. And there is another appeal to the 11th Circuit - involving Cannon and the victim - that is ongoing.
