Paul said the grandmother appeared to be angry and upset

Paul mentions as he walked into the house he too smelled an unusual and strong odor of a chemical cleaning agent. #luistoledo

The previous witness, deputy Miller, said he asked Toledo if his wife had cleaned the house the night before and Toledo said no #luistoledo

The child found the knife in the neighborhood and walked over to Paul to turn the knife over to Paul #luistoledo

the mother's black Honda Accord was found in a Publix in Seminole County.

Mott says nothing appeared unusual about car. An officer had opened trunk to make sure no one was in trunk. Mott found a cell phone in car

Going back to the testimony that a child found a knife in the neighborhood on their way home from school the same day that YS and the children were declared missing, I'm not sure I heard anything about that in the news articles at the time. I wonder if that knife is going to come up later when the physical evidence starts coming in. Although I'm not sure why the defence argued that it should not even have been mentioned? :waitasec:

Watching live, they are showing pictures of YS's car when it was found in the parking lot of the Publix. The trunk was found ajar, YS's purse and ID badge were found on the seat and a cell phone in a case was found in a case between the seat and the door.

Perez told deputies that her daughter said Toledo had tried to stab her “days prior” but instead stabbed a canvass painting in the master bedroom. Investigators later found a canvass painting which appeared to have been cut with a “sharp object,” reports said. Investigators said Suarez disappeared between 1 a.m. and 5 a.m. on Oct. 23.

Mott said a gauze with the boy's blood was found in a trash receptacle next to the toilet in a bathroom.

But Mott said investigators don't believe this minute amount of blood from the boy was associated with the case.

Mott said he found trophies belonging to the boy and other keepsakes that people would typically take.

Going through photos of each room in the house and the prosecutor is establishing with Detective Mott that there is no obvious signs of an altercation taking place, no signs that someone packed up belongings to leave.

Mott also said he could not smell or at least recount any smell from air fresheners in the house

All blood swab samples were individually verified by Detective Mott and entered into evidence.

Now asking Detective Mott if he has studied blood pattern analysis. He says yes and the prosecution asks him about blood pattern analysis of the stains or "spray" of Thalia's blood in the master bath area and of course the defence objects to him giving his professional opinion of how the blood spots or "spray", on the walls and closet doors may have occurred.

Again going over close up photos of all blood stains in the master bathroom area.

Mott said he checked the trash can outside house and found some damaged canvass paintings and trash bags and beneath that a shower liner

In the trash can, Mott found a shower liner wet with a pinkish liquid and had a smell of cleaner or vinegar

He found about three empty bottles of cleaning products in the trash can

My notes...

In the trash can he found 3 white kitchen bags of trash, 3 canvas paintings that were damaged/torn, smell of cleaning products, wetness of cleaning products, 3 empty bottles of cleaners. All wetness was found within the bags and not on the outside of the bags indicating it had not been wet in the can. Pinkish liquid on shower liner smelled of cleaner and/or vinegar.

Detective Mott was told to look for evidence of broken glass or ceramics. Damage to walls in/around the master bedroom/bathroom.

He did not find any broken glass or ceramics, did not find any holes in the drywall with regard to the knob or the hook on the back of the master bathroom door.

Is this in regards to the fight they supposedly had a couple days prior? When he allegedly cut the painting? Did YS tell her mother about other damage that was vacuumed up and/or fixed by the time she went missing? Are they allowing any information about that fight in? :waitasec:
