''FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. - Police in Florida are searching for a man who reportedly tried to kidnap a child on two occasions last week in Fort Lauderdale.

The Fort Lauderdale Police Department released surveillance video online showing the victim – a 10-year-old girl – running away from the possible abductor on NE 17th Way. Investigators said the suspect can be seen trailing behind her in the upper-right-hand corner of the video, before turning around and leaving the area.''

Why is she still walking to school alone!!!
The first day, it apparently went unreported. So she may not have said anything about it to her parents or teachers.

If true, I do understand why she may not have said anything.

I remember at age 10, my best friend and I were walking home after school. We had stayed after school for a little while, playing with a few friends in the park across the street.

As we walked out to the street, a man in a car was parked right by the exit from the park, and as we walked by he pointed at something, motioning to us, and of course, he was playing with himself......

We ran off and cut behind a friend's house and waited until we saw him drive off. But neither of us told our parents or teachers. We were pretty sure we wouldn't be able to walk home alone anymore or go play at the park anymore...
