I don't think she's stating that they lied. Only mistaken or influenced. JMO
Then why not just say that? And who was mistaken and who was influenced? All, some?I'm just curious.Thanks.

Yes, they are. Which the jury should have revisited instead of taking his closing statement as evidence. Because he stretched the truth in that too with regard to the decomp smell, specifically with Maria Kissh. IIRC there were others as well but I"m not 100% certain on that because I didn't go back and review their testimony (which I would have had I been a jurorThe closing arguments aren't evidence, but JB outlined the people who testified they didn't smell human decomposition, and their testimonies are evidence.
Ummmm.....I don't think so.

"I actually went into the car to smell what the smell smelled like," Melich said. "Before, just before I came into (my current position), I was a homicide detective for two years with the Orange County Sheriff's Office and in my experience, the smell that I smell inside that car was of decomposition."
I clarified the first piece of misinformation by stating that hearing the jailhouse tapes of the meeting, then hearing the LE tape of them bringing GA there, one would assume the meeting happened. I don't claim to know every piece of evidence in this case, so I would appreciate not being held up to that standard.
I'm looking for the exact names of who testified they didn't smell anything, but I can tell you one name for sure, Yuri Melich. There were others (JB's closing arguments outlined all of them) that have had experience in it but didn't smell anything.
Definitely not YM. He even said so at the bond hearing and that was early on.I clarified the first piece of misinformation by stating that hearing the jailhouse tapes of the meeting, then hearing the LE tape of them bringing GA there, one would assume the meeting happened. For a variety of reasons. Here are a few that I can rattle off the top of my head:If shes not rare or unique then why has this case been profiled publicly and emotionally for the last three years?
That could be a whole other topic  Interesting does not mean unique. The story she created and the reality that unfolded were interesting. The access that we had to the legal documents and the process as it happened also made it interesting. If shes not rare or unique then why has this case been profiled publicly and emotionally for the last three years?
I think their dysfunction is way over the top. I think there were other reasons to cover up. JMOO
People who confirmed they smelled a dead body or something decomposing:
1. Bloise
2. Forgey and his dog
3. Michael Vincent
4. Dr. Arpad Vass
5. Dr. Neal Haskell
6. Simon Birch
7. CA
8. GA
9. LA
10. ICA
11. Sgt Hosey
12. YM (after GA directed him to it)
13. Dr. Furton
14. Dr. Huntington
15. Dr. Wise
People who confirmed they smelled something they could not confirm as decomp but agreed it was a bad smell:
1. Katherine Sanchez
2. Rendon Fletcher
3. Adrianna Acevedo
People who were in or around the car in the time frame in question and confirmed they did not smell anything :
1. Dpty Ryan Eberlin
2. TL (with the caveat that he was not very near to the car, but if it was bad enough he should have been able to smell something, maybe)
Wait, what? That is not at all my understanding of what he said. He said there was discoloration that led him to believe the skull had been moved because it decomposed on its left side (or maybe right, can't remember) which directly refuted how the skull was found (upright).
What's your belief on why the skull should have been opened? I saw no evidence whatsoever that said Dr. G violated protocol. In fact, I heard just the opposite.
But there was not any evidence of that!I think their dysfunction is way over the top. I think there were other reasons to cover up. JMOO
Weren't they in the car before Caylee was seen for the last time? That could explain why they didn't smell anything!Ok, so there was Clint, girlfriend and TL in the car. Don't know if they count because they've probably never smelled decomp.
Ummmm.....I don't think so.

He does teach to open the skull. In autopsies where there is a brain inside the skull. My take on Dr. Spitz is that he is old school so in his beliefs and teaching you open the skull. in doing so, you can get a couple or three things. One, the sediment. He said the sediment was brain dust but it wasn't tested to confirm. Could have just been dirt. More importantly and second, IIRC it was settled to suggest the skull was in a different position than what the PT and ME claim. Third, he stated that in a drowning victim there may be a discoloring on the inside of the skull near where the ears are that would be indicative of a drowning but that not all drowning victims have this. Some do some don't.
From my recollection, there were at least 7 that identified the smell of decomp in the Pontiac.
Y. Melich
Sgt. Allen
Dr. Vass
Simon Birch
G. Anthony
G. Bloise
J. Forgey - OCSO dog handler of Gerus and Bones
All experienced in the odor of decomp.
