Who said anything about inside the bag, wasn't the skull found under the bag?
This is magic tape beccalecca1. Magic.

Because there was no more sticky left to the tape!
It was in the elements for 6 months.
It also clearly states the tape was attached at one point and that is what held the jaw bone to the skull.
You're completely right. If the tape was placed there to keep the mandible in place, how was the mandible still in place if the tape wasn't sticking to it anymore?
Why would it adhere itself to the hair and nothing else?
The report doesn't state this for a fact. It states the author's opinion (Dr. G?).
It wasn't placed there TO keep the mandible in place.
It was placed there for other reasons obviously.
The mandible being in place was just a result of the tape being there.
Yes, because all I said that was entered into evidence was "Hey, the A's have a pool!"
Why would it adhere itself to the hair and nothing else?

Either way, that still doesn't answer how was the mandible still being held in place if it wasn't adhering to it? They picked up the skull and the mandible held it's place. How is that possible with nothing there to keep it together?

oh, I don't know - maybe the tape was was placed over her mouth and nose and covered the hair also which was neck length at the time and then another piece of tape was placed over that and as the skin decomposed and dissolved it stuck to the hair WHICH DID NOT DECOMPOSE and dissolve and a mat formed and rested there. Orrrrrrrr, maybe it is just magic tape as Baez said and found its way there after it unstuck itself from the outside of the garbage bag and then stuck itself around the head holding the mandible in place, which is never seen after decomp unless it is being held.
That's what it all boils down to.
Just wanted to add that life in jail for Casey was probably a lot nicer than living at home with her parents. Could also add to her reasoning for sitting.
Wasn't this tape 6 inches long at it's longest point? I don't believe that's long enough to not only cover the nose/mouth, but also be stuck to the hair.
I could be wrong on the length though.
No, not at all what it boils down to. I'm sorry that is what you gathered from what I posted, but that wasn't what I was saying at all.
Because it was entangled.
It says covering, NOT adhered, which it clearly states in the next sentence. Covering, would equate to laying over. Not adhering, sticking to, or any other synonym you'd like to use.
And don't forget no smell of decomp in the trunk because one of the jurors said that - there was no proof, despite many many witnesses, expert or not, who testified otherwise....:banghead:
