But on the other hand, people need to see the truth because with truth, comes knowledge. Reality is important.

Oh yes, definitely I agree seeing the reality is important. I just don't think you need to see uncensored images of inside the Bataclan for example. The censored images tell a very, very graphic story as it is. I'm not sure there is any need for images beyond that very vivid image to give a sense of the reality of the situation. I think the victim accounts tell a more vivid story than photos, but maybe more visual people would disagree.

As for the video of the alley, it certainly does give you a sense of reality of what was going on during the attacks. I found it so incredibly shocking but also insightful. I suppose in this context I don't know what purpose is served by me personally seeing it (other than speaking on here and gathering information about the events).

I suppose what I'm saying is there is a point where things are so graphic I don't think you gain much more 'reality' from seeing them. You can get the idea from images that are partially censored. JMO though, I see your point :)

I will just say that anyone minizing the threat, the anxiety or the fear of the situation. Saying we should go on about our lives and not let these attacks change who we are and how we think....has never been under a direct threat of terrorism.

Their children have never been under lockdown in kindergarten.

It is a game changer. I assure you.

It definitely is a game changer. I posted this on the thread about the Russian airliner but when I was in elementary school a plane and helicopter crashed into each other mid air and landed in the front and back schoolyard during recess in April, so we were all outside. It was not a terrorist attack but the Initial collision sounded like a bomb and seeing fireballs plummeting out of the sky, gasoline, and everything else that comes with an air disaster was certainly game changing for myself at such a young age, and for all of the parents of us kids who rushed to the scene and all of the chaos that ensued. This was in the 90's and I am still afraid of flying. I fly a decent amount but not without anxiety medicine for the flight. The fear has gotten worse since I had kids. Looking back, something horrific can happen at any time, and we shouldn't live in fear everyday, but the threat, anxiety, and fear many are feeling definitely shouldn't be minimized.

Although my experience wasn't a terrorist attack by any means, I feel it's relevant to your post. Anytime there is a plane crash in the news, I am very sensitive to it and say I'm never flying again, but I still fly however not without medication.

I also fear that ISIS could target a school at recess or something. That thought really scares me.

I think the difference is porous might be compromised in some way, like by counterintelligence or insiders.

Just asked my husband this and he said "concrete Intel" is exactly as it sounds, in lay mans terms, "is gonna happen or is happening" and porous is "not definite". And there are many reasons why it could be not definite like as you said.

I was hoping my husband would elaborate for me more but that's all I got before he realized I was asking to put what he says on websleuths and was then informed that I spend way too much time on here. Ugh.

In reality, after Jan France did keep up a real police prescens - and still...... it had little impact can we really make ourselves safer ,

keep in mind that France did not respond , in terms of folks going to Syria and being aloud to come up into FRance and not be detain ()around 200) not all come back terrorists but.....

Yeah. I remember the knee-jerk hysteria after 9/11, too. Everything was suspicious and everyone (well, who looked a certain way) was a terrorist.

My daughter and son-in-law always arrive early when they fly because he always gets extra scrutiny. He is of native American heritage and has a very dark beard. He always makes sure to shave immediately before they leave but they still see him as somebody to check.

Who made this claim I wonder .. Anonymous?

“We report that more than 5,500 Twitter accounts of #ISIS are now #down!” the group said in a tweet.

Anonymous said it posted the accounts to an online forum, labelling them #daeshbags in a reference to Daesh, an Arabic acronym for the Islamic State.

In addition to being responsible for the closure of Twitter accounts, the activist group has reportedly begun leaking personal information of suspected extremists.

http://www.news.com.au/technology/o...t/news-story/20b3bf8ba6a0e59baf2ff9935f07cdb8

Looks like it, yes. So basically what they're saying they did is post a whole list of Twitter handles onto a site and got a whole lot of people to report them, to Twitter right?

So in reality Twitter took them down.

We don't even know if those accounts were in any way related to ISIS or not, we only have the word of 'Anonymous' who fed the media.

For a group called Anonymous they sure like attention.

Here's an informed bloggers view on this latest media push:

Think about it like this - a concrete wall is something you can't penetrate, but if the wall is porous then something can get through. Intelligence is not always about what is going or not going to happen. There is much more information being gathered.

I know - I have been trying to avoid some of the videos and graphic stuff. Trying to skip past the photos of the killers too - they aren't worth the focus really.

Did you feel better after watching some of the match skibaboo? I did, it was symbolic and therapeutic in some way. Shed some tears - moving to see all those French fans.....

I do a little yes, thank you. My DH spent a while prattling on about Cameron which irritated me though. I know it wasn't about the football tonight but it also was, a draw, or a win for France would have been nice. The atmosphere was great!

Brennan also said the United States had “strategic warning” about the terrorist attack in Paris, but did not provide details, other than to say it was “not a surprise.”. "It was not a surprise this attack was carried out," Brennan said. "We had strategic warning. We knew that planning by ISIL was underway."

..In his remarks, Brennan said the attacks should serve as a “wake-up call” for those misrepresenting what intelligence services do to protect innocent civilians.....

he believed the attack was planned over “several months.”

This might sound goofy, had posted about this before and removed it for that reason, but- have to say it again now..
It seems like a number of terrorists have a weird left eyebrow, ie.the part closest to the nose missing or oddly shaped.
speculation, imo

That's funny. My mom used to say it about a certain group of people (totally unrelated to terrorists) and after she said it I noticed it more and more often. I don't think it means anything.

The inconvenient truth: There's no easy military answer to war on ISIS
By Nick Paton Walsh, CNN

Updated 7:04 pm et with great video
Tue November 17 15

"ISIS has metastasized into something many predicted, but most prayed would never happen: a nihilistic group of militants who have both a safe haven in an anarchic land, and cells in Europe able to attack civilian targets."

But how simple is it to fashion a longer term military plan?

1. There are very few 'good guys' to back

2. The Kurds? They aren't the solution to everything.

3. Turkey is part of the problem, even though it's in NATO

4. Obama's strategy sounds tired and compromised -- but it may be the best option

5. There needs to be a local solution for what is a regional proxy war"

Went looking for pics to demonstrate and frankly now sick to my stomach, the images that popped up are beyond comprehension.
But wondering now after reading this article if maybe the eyebrow thing is a grooming issue. imo.

"What does this say about the true nature of ISIS warriors?"
March 17, 2015

“On Monday, the Iraqi army arrested 20 male Islamic State members dressed as women in the northern city of Baquba, according to spokesman Ghalib al-Jubouri.”

In pictures originally posted on Instagram, the true identities of the Islamic militants can be seen beneath the robes and veils and even the bras. Some of the men went so far as to shave their beards and shape their eyebrows."
