Hydra is the perfect metaphor. Now where's Hercules?

I think Jason is the one that you're looking for, although Hercules might be up to the task also..

It will be a culture shock in some ways, but I have a feeling the Muslim community here will do whatever they can to help them adjust.

bbm, On that note I do wonder about the Muslim countries and why they are not opening their arms to the refugee crisis. jmo idk

IMHO these are the men who are on strike. They work for the ferries and stand to lose their jobs due to a merger.

The ones breaking into the lorries are doctors, dentists, engineers, democrats and law-abiding families:

The same video by the Hungarian truck driver that I posted earlier, now with English subtitles. NOT for the fainthearted because he does not mince his words and swears a lot.

"So called compoulsive hitch hikers"

~someone has climbed between the tractor ands the trailer.

See! 5 policemen but there are 18000 migrants!

BBM

Meanwhile, in Calais itself, there are fights every night

Calais: new nightly clashes, 10 policemen injured by migrants

http://www.fdesouche.com/676125-cal...cturnes-10-policiers-blesses-par-des-migrants

"From around midnight until about 5:00 in the morning, several organized groups of 10-50 migrants have repeatedly tried to block traffic on the ring road towards the harbour in order to get into the trucks heading to the port of Calais, by placing various objects on the roads," the prefecture told AFP.

More clashes during the day, filmed by Channel4

I do wonder if the reporter really wants these fellow humans to reach Britain.

Has any one of our great leaders thought about why it is that so many of our youngsters want to go and leave their families. Some from quite an affluent background and not poverty stricken. What are our children lacking in THEIR world. Why is giving their lives up. Seem their only way in the future?
Does anyone have any insight on this?
Cuz I can't be the only one who is shaking their head at the amount of people mostly young ones Daesh have recruited?
We need THAT knowledge to put their system in disarray.

I've posted some information in previously that I found the most helpful online to try to understand similar questions I had.

Thanks FHG. I was discussing the war Syria and Iraq with a fellow commuter (I see him every Tuesday). He was educated in Jewish schools so keeps up with Israeli politics. As were saying our goodbyes he mentioned this very interview so thank you for posting it. Our discussion here and IRL continues...

'Most' Iraqis believe US is Islamic State ally

On the front lines of the battle against the Islamic State, suspicion of the United States runs deep. Iraqi fighters say they have all seen the videos purportedly showing US helicopters airdropping weapons to the militants, and many claim they have friends and relatives who have witnessed similar instances of collusion.

Ordinary people also have seen the videos, heard the stories and reached the same conclusion - one that might seem absurd to Americans but is widely believed among Iraqis - that the United States is supporting the Islamic State for a variety of pernicious reasons that have to do with asserting American control over Iraq, the wider Middle East and, perhaps, its oil.

The Islamic State, also known as ISIL or Daesh, is "almost finished," he said. "They are weak. If only America would stop supporting them, we could defeat them in days."

"The reason is that the Americans aren't doing the job people expect them to do," he said. "Mosul was lost and the Americans did nothing. Syria was lost and the Americans did nothing. Paris is attacked and the Americans aren't doing much. So people believe this is a deliberate policy. They can't believe the American leadership fails to understand the developments in the region, and so the only other explanation is that this is part of a conspiracy."

"Turkey is the main consumer of the oil stolen from its rightful owners, Syria and Iraq. According to information we've received, the senior political leadership of the country - President Erdogan and his family - are involved in this criminal business," said Deputy Defence Minister Anatoly Antonov.

http://www.reuters.com/article/2015/12/02/us-mideast-crisis-russia-turkey-idUSKBN0TL19S20151202

"Maybe I'm being too blunt, but one can only entrust control over this thieving business to one's closest associates."

"In the West, no one has asked questions about the fact that the Turkish president's son heads one of the biggest energy companies, or that his son-in-law has been appointed energy minister. What a marvelous family business!"

"Know that our dead, the innocent French citizens, are in paradise," he said.

"And your dead, the terrorists, are in hell."'

Could someone please show this news article to obama.

He's a Muslim. He wouldn't/couldn't justify being heavily embroiled in ME war games imo.
That's how I read him. I may be wrong but that Jmoo.
He's hanging out. Taking in Refugees and giving them placements in USA.
But he's hoping Russia will kick ISIL/ISIS/IS/DAESH into touch. And make the death cult history.

Calais in chaos due to strike

Traffic is in chaos in Calais and Dover due to a strike of the staff of the ferries. The many migrants who have gathered in Calais, hoping to reach England, use the chaos by making new attempts to break into the trucks on their way to England.

Hoping our guys over there are somewhat safe... Ffs!

A doctor who likened President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to the pasty, cave-dwelling creature is facing up to two years in prison in Turkey, where insulting the president is a crime, reports said Wednesday.

http://www.foxnews.com/world/2015/1...ring-erdogan-to-rings-character-gollum-crime/

Unable to determine a physical resemblance, the court in the western province of Aydin asked a group of experts -- two academics, two psychologists and one movie expert -- to testify as to whether the comparison was an insult, Milliyet newspaper reported.

Seems to be thin skinned. jmo
