It is crazy so are the video updates. No one has returned for lunch? What do they turn off the camera's at will in this state?

  • #523
FWIW; the posts on the local site do talk a lot about what they feel in this case and who they think is guilty or possibly guilty as well as comments about her hiding the weapon in this case. Now the two guys dont even know each other? It's very difficult to follow, but wow on the comments online regarding taking every word at face value. Charges may come out of this case, whatever happens. There is always that chance. I am not the only one who feels that they may be wrongly charged or set up or something else going on here. I wonder what the date is on the insurance policy? That is the evidence I'd like to hear about in this case. And any connection if any at all between this mother and these two.

Not one TV stationing the entire US is doing a live-feed in this trial. Wonder why?

NO, they don't turn off the camera unless the Judge orders it turned off. The camera is running but TV stations only play a small segment of what happened. Have you ever been in a courthouse when a camera is running? They have a special media area where media can view screens, then pick and choose what they want to broadcast.

What "local site" are you referring to? And what "charges" are you implying may come out of this? I'm confused.

Your statement left me bewildered. Why do you ask about a connection between the mother and the two boys?

But WS is victim friendly and the mother is considered a victim at this point by WS.

Do you have links to any statements by LE that even remotely imply the mother is involved in this? That investigators think the wounds are self inflicted? That LE thinks this mother may have been involved to collect $5,000?

This is crazy.

"At about 2:30 p.m., the defense in the Elkins trial asked for a mistrial, apparently over concerns about facial expressions being made by prosecutors."

I guess this is the kind of case you have to run when you have a client who doesn't have the wits or human decency to admit his guilt and take a plea.

Next up: Gough asks for a mistrial because the court reporter sneezes!

Well she was shot by and and saw her baby murdered by one of them, I guess that's a connection.

I mean, granted, this is not a 'media pretty' victim--she has 'issues,' she isn't polished, she apparently has no filter and no one to tell her not to talk to media, but everything I have seen come forth from LE points to the fact that she is considered the victim and is NOT a suspect.

I would hate to be 14 or 15 years old and on the stand, questioned by experienced attorneys. I hope DL does okay.

Cherry,
Do you realize that the insurance policy was for a hefty 5 thousand bucks? That will barely pay for the burial.

Do you really believe this woman would shoot her baby in the face for a measly 5 grand?

Yes and often. The pool though feeds the local station. So who has made the decision to only post video's and not air it live? Is there a motion filed that anyone can direct me to? It's live but it's not memorex in this case :O!:twocents:

It is a theory; one that I cannot discount right now. And with all the stops and starts with the video it's really difficult to follow this case and watch it unfold. I'm waiting for the Truth to unfold, as always in any case i work or follow. I do believe that she could have done exactly that, and I'm not in any minority either. The problem is when anyone posts a rogue view that foesn't dit with everyone elses. Sometimes you have to think outside the box. :jail:

Hopefully we will find the truth in this trial; that is why we are here. It isn't to take sides; or to post demands of other posters observing a trial. Trials are about The Truth. When I review her body language, and videos I have serious questions about "mom". That's not a crime it's not illegal; it's not "unfriendly to the victim" it's an honest question as to who and what kind of person calls the insurance company that very day. As an investigator there are certain facts one cannot ignore, and should not ignore. Her apt; even from the outside was an eyefull. What's her financial status? Where does she work now? Is she on any state assistance and does anyone know that? Because I do feel her wounds are self inflicted. And that's from exp in the work force as well as now viewing a case retired. I cannot ignore what I see. I'm waiting for the evidence to come out against the defendents. But I'm also keeping a keane ear for The Truth. Scroll on if you have a problem with my take on this case. That is what we all do; when we don't like or can't handle what we see. I don't believe the mother in this case. I'd like to.

Give me a break. The defense is trying to pin this on ANYBODY other than his client. He is grasping at straws.

Atlanta Journal Constitution has started tweeting this case also. Only one tweet so far.
