Thank you for posting these!

(Note: the link goes to a tweet linking an article in Epoch Times. If you're unfamiliar with that paper, google it. Big financial supporter of Trump campaign, unknown funding of the paper.)

The Epoch Times is a far-right[1] international multi-language newspaper and media company affiliated with the Falun Gong new religious movement.[29] The newspaper, based in New York City, is part of the Epoch Media Group, which also operates New Tang Dynasty (NTD) Television.[30] The Epoch Times has websites in 35 countries but is blocked in mainland China.[31]

The Epoch Times opposes the Chinese Communist Party,[32][33][22] platforms far-right politicians in Europe,[8][10][22] and has supported former President Donald Trump in the U.S.;[34][35] a 2019 report by NBC News showed it to be the second-largest funder of pro-Trump Facebook advertising after the Trump campaign itself.[30][36][22] The Epoch Times frequently runs stories promoting other Falun Gong-affiliated groups, such as the performing arts company Shen Yun.[34][24][37] The Epoch Media Group's news sites and YouTube channels have promoted conspiracy theories such as QAnon, anti-vaccine misinformation[40] and false claims of fraud in the 2020 United States presidential election.[43]

Well ok. Thats what it looked like to me. I thought i was missing something. Didn’t think we could link those.
I'm happy to delete the tweet and just post a picture of the jail. I was trying to give the folks here a local perspective of where the defendants will be turning themselves in to be arrested and booked.

Whenever I hear about The Epoch Times I get a shiver down my spine and my blood runs cold.

It makes sense to me that a draft or trial-run document would have all the same expected charges as the actual indictment ultimately did.

It makes sense to me that a draft would or could be identical to the final product. I‘m not privy to how grand juries handle the production of indictments on paper to hand to the judge. But with something this complicated, I would assume that the 98 pages were in existence long before the grand jury finished deliberating. It’s much easier to add or remove a charge at the last minute than to start from scratch after they finished hearing testimony yesterday. This is a complicated document that @Inthedetails is kind enough to post for us in easy-to-read form. It’s not something you leave to the last minute and churn it out. Turning the premature and brief publication of one page into evidence of corruption is on a par with seeing Ruby Freeman pass something to her daughter and turning candy into something nefarious.

For me, this is one of the sad offshoots of this lousy conspiracy.

Rudy is neck deep in this—one of the principal architects of the whole scheme.

But I do remember how different he was when he was our mayor. He always had an obnoxious streak and he always liked attention, much like Trump but to a lesser degree.

Yet he really truly did reduce crime in NYC. Mostly due to his hiring of William Bratton and Jack Maple to run the NYPD, but he gave them freedom to get the job done.

On September 11th, 2001 he was everywhere and he was a comfort to most of us.

Ironically of course, as a prosecutor he was largely responsible for getting RICO indictments up and running, particularly against the Mafia’s stranglehold on NYC businesses.

While the deterioration of Rudy Giuliani is not the most important aspect of the Trump plot, speaking just for myself, it is depressing to watch unfold.

About two weeks prior to 9/11, I had attended a Town Hall meeting where Giuliani and Bernie Kerik were interacting with us in the audience. I got to ask some questions and I found Rudy to be on his best behavior that night. I thought he may be president some day.

IMO he is one of the many broken branches of the Terrible Trump Tree. So many people who could have been doing great things for their cities, counties, and states, but instead chose to defy the law and mock the Constitution in their quest to crown Trump as King of America.

JMO, many will disagree.

24. Dec 3, 2020: Rudy committed felony offense of False Statements and Writings in Fulton County, Georgia by making to members of the GA Senate present at a Senate Judiciary Subcommittee Meeting at least one of the following false statements:
* At least 96,600 mail-in ballots were counted despite no records of those ballots in the county election office (reminder: this is false)
* Dominion Voting Systems equipment in Antrim County, Michigan recorded 6,000 votes for Biden that were cast for Trump (reminder: this is false)
This was an act of racketeering.

25. Dec 3, 2020: Ray Smith (campaign attorney) committed the felony of False Statements and Writings in Fulton County, Georgia by making to members of the GA Senate at Senate Judiciary Subcommittee meeting at least one of the following false statements:
* 2,506 felons voted illegally in Georgia (reminder: this is false)
* 66,248 underage people registered to vote before their 17th birthday in Georgia (reminder: this is false)
* At least 2,423 people not registered to vote did vote in Georgia (reminder: this is false)
* 1,043 people voted in Georgia illegally registered to P.O. boxes (reminder: this is false)
* 10,315 or more dead people voted in Georgia (reminder: this is false)
* Fulton County election workers at State Farm Arena ordered poll watchers and media to leave tabulation area on election night and continued to operate after ordering everyone to leave. (Reminder: this is false)

Snipped for focus.

They weren't making false statements, they were just exercising their First Amendment right to free speech. Why is that even a felony? Witch hunt!

/snark

If convicted, they will get a much cushy-er (cushier?) sentence than witches of old did. Imo.

Also, in case anyone wants to bookmark it for future use...

I'm so old I remember when Giuliani (Republican) supported Mario Cuomo (Democrat) for governor in 1994.

I thought that was extremely courageous. IIRC, which I probably don't, he posited that Pataki's proposals would hurt NYC residents. His (Giuliani's) positions were rooted in facts.

After that his status as Republican party rising star disappeared. He tried to do the right thing by his constituents and his party punished him for that. He could stay mayor of NYC but not go any higher up. Party over constituents, right?

I think that's what broke him. I never saw him as principled after that. All I could see afterward, and still do, is a person trying to get back into the good graces of the Republican Party so his star could rise again.

All JMO of course.

Residents of Georgia are not happy with Fani Willis' indictment just days after she launched a website/fundraising for her own reelection campaign.

“I think that he is being railroaded and I think this is a Gestapo-type situation and I am personally embarrassed,” Beth Hoyt said. “I think it’s definitely political motivated because there is so much negative press on the Bidens, Clintons, Obamas—and now they’re going after Trump because he’s running again because he’s already tried to drain the swamp.”

“Both parties have challenged elections and now all of the sudden it’s illegal and we’re going to indict him and arrest him when no other candidate has had this happen before. It just seems like every time something happens, Trump gets indicted,” Jim Dent said.

They point out that while Trump is running again for president, Willis is also campaigning to keep her seat as district attorney. She even launched a new fundraising website last Thursday, just days before the indictment.

Three constituents quoted. Okay, that settles it. LOL

I would be very interested in hearing from her constituents who are personally embarrassed that she's their Congressional representative.

Even though I'm not in the US, I was very impressed with how he acted during that awful time.
I hadn't really heard of him before that, but came to admire him.

But it looks like he went and lost all his goodwill and his good name.

Reading those quotes, I'm willing to bet the peanut farm I don't own in Georgia that they haven't read the indictment or even a summary.

I'm not in Georgia but I'm impressed with the work Fani Willis has done on this huge and complicated case, and I think any community would be proud to have her serve it.

But can't please everyone, I suppose. Don't like a competent, smart, hard-working, tough D.A. who is focused on the law? Well, vote her out. Sidney Powell is probably looking for a job.

Also I'm so old I remember when politicians of different parties would at least (apparently) try to work together for positive outcomes for their constituents, rather than one party painting the other as child rapist conspirators and such.

Ah, the 60s. Such a peaceful time in America when I was a kid.

HA ha that last line was snark for anyone who wasn't alive yet then.

You have two from my house, and there are many more. Not enough to make a difference as far as she goes, though.

Consider the source.

Trump must be doing something right. He's still topping the polls. I do wonder how much money he's raked in....

Early on I was sure he couldn’t get the Republican nomination and now it’s looking like a possibility. It’s all the indictments and how people feel about them fueling his campaign. imo
