GUILTY GA - Four dead in Atlanta courthouse shooting, Brian Nichols on trial

You are not alone. I had to go to the post office and was scared as hell. 4 police cars within 2 miles and I made my daughter lock her store and only let in customers that didn't fit the description. Her store is 1.5 miles from the courthouse. We are all on edge. A monster with no restraint doesn't give a high confidence level.

Pray for his capture before the end of the evening or more bodies will be piling up.

I just heard that either he is from Florida or has family in Florida and may try to make his way there. I am glad to be outa Florida and safe in the West Virginia mountains!

I live 180 miles south of Atlanta. My 83 yr old MIL is scared to go to bed tonight. She's watched tv all day and is really worked up. I wish they could pin-point him to one location if they can't arrest him.

Yes, I am in Atlanta. And we don't have this kind of thing often. But I am crazy over it, worried about everyone I know and repercussions and the victims. Especially the victims. Good people just gunned down...for what? An idiot who was concerned about a rape trial? He did it and he knows it and why not just take responsibility? He would go to jail but now he is looking at the death penalty. So, he doesn't have restraint anymore and that is why I am crazy!

Nancy Grace just flew in to Atlanta. Check out CNN headline news shortly at 8 Pm. Nancy was friends with Judge Barnes. I will be watching and posting any other local news.

My sister and her husband are in Atlanta for the basketball tournment,although i worry , i really dont feel there is no danger for people living in the Atlanta area- im sure he's as far away from there as he could get by now.

Im wondering if he had money for gas, etc? A full tank( if it was ) will only take him so far.

I heard Nancy earlier in a taped phone call while she was still in NY. She could barely talk, she was crying so hard. She is going to be very emotional on her show. I just adore her.

Please click on info about the deputies. It seems that the female deputy wasn't as qualified for a gun that was what she needed for her job. I am a Fulton county resident and I am livid over this. If a sheriff's recall is in order, I am perfectfully willing to sign a petition.

I'm reading on some of the news sites about the need to protect judges. We don't need more gizmos, we need better laws. We need to treat criminals like criminals. And what is this female deputy doing alone with a male prisoner? Where were the extra deputies that the judge ordered? And was this guy out on bail or was he actually in custudy? This is so uncalled for!

We so often report on the crimes and the manhunt for the monster that the victim's are not as humanized. So, I am posting an article about Julie Brandau, the court reporter, who was killed today. Prayers for her family.

He was in custody. We do need better protection for judges and court reporters and deputies. I am just so beyond objective at this point that no one should even listen to me.

Has anybody heard what quantity of ammunition this creep has? He shot several times in the court and then outside when he killed the Deputy. He would have only what was in the gun and he has no money on him. I am guessing he is holed up somewhere in the Atlanta area and desparately trying to figure out how to get more ammo and some money. All stores selling guns and ammo should be on high alert (I'd shut down if I were them).

A female deputy alone with a dangerous 6'1" uncuffed male prisoner. What were they thinking?
