Thanks, everyone. I really mean that.
There's still no news. I did speak with two detectives yesterday who came to Jane's house. However, the reason they were there is that I had become concerned the day before because I noticed a utility disconnect notice hanging on Jane's front door, and I called around trying to find out how to prevent the electricity from being turned off since no one has been in the house since the last officer left and locked the door. The PD wasn't aware that the house hadn't been attended to and the electricity was about to be cut. They were just here to confirm that it was true.
I did manage (with the help of others) to get the electric company to wait another month before cutting the power to the house so that it could be properly attended to first.
But still no news. I do know the investigation is ongoing, though.
I wish there would be some news in the Atlanta paper but nothing. Thank you for being attentive toward's Jane's home as with this heat and no electricity it could become a mold problem. The child deserves the right to any proceeds from the sale of this home and if it deteriorates than it will all be for naught. Is someone assigned to protect the interest of the child? Please ask if the court has done this as the asset of the home could be pivotal to his future.
