They should be. She may be lucky to avoid being charged with negligence before all is said and done. JMO
I agree.

Gently suggesting that if she is, another couple’s dream will potentially come true. Short of prosecutorial negligence or malfeasance, she will go to jail for a very long time. If there is a baby, he or she will be adopted out in the state of Georgia, where a lot of great couples wait with hope. I think that could turn out to be a beautiful and blessed thing. I am choosing to see the possibility of the best of things. She may have also eaten a lot of postnatal donuts (as I myself did after birthing twins) and this is all moot. xo
Unfortunately at the hearing today it did come out that she “is a chronic, unrehabilitated substance abuser of cocaine and cannabis”.

How can it be a beautiful and blessed thing if she's having a baby while under the influence of drugs? Also what is a "postnatal" donut? We all know of postnasal drip. I am totally confused

I think they just meant "they ate a lot of food after giving birth" (and thus, gained weight). (I admit, I also was confused and googled, thinking they were talking about one of those perianal cushions people sometimes sit on when they have extensive postpartum tearing )

Maybe LE named LS as a suspect when they did precisely to protect her other children as it would probably set off the process that took place today. Maybe they deemed the safety of the other children worth whatever risk there might be in naming her their prime suspect before they have a body or are ready to make an arrest.

Eta: typo

Of all the things I've read on Websleuths, "extensive postpartum tearing" is the most frightening.

The children's grandmother "knew or should have known (her daughter) was unfit to provide proper care, while the maternal grandmother traveled out of state," the court documents say.
Louder for the folks in the back, please!

Strong words for Quinton’s grandmother…
I find it interesting that she was mentioned in this negative way, but her husband wasn't. Didn't they both have custody?

Just want to say I totally understood "postnatal donuts" because I've been there myself, ha ha. Didn't confuse it with postnatal drip at all, but that did give me a giggle. :)
Just wanted you to know at least one other person got what you were saying!

There has been a real lack of any info on the grandfather. I know he's not biologically related, but I do believe he was also included in the custody documents. It seems that he should also be included in the judge's admonishments.

I am happy to hear there will be a new update today but wonder if it will answer the question - what happened to Q and where is he?

Testing positive for cocaine use whilst giving birth, so within days of birth.

cocaine use could certainly explain what happened here. Aggression.
