GUILTY GA - Quinton Simon - Missing From Home - Mom ARRESTED- Savannah #6

  • #361
So Leilani gets 30 years (plus 10) for throwing away the child she murdered.

Q didn't even get 3 years.

Leilani can't escape Leilani though.

She will rack up infractions.

I seriously hope her first chance for parole is 30 or 40 years away.

I hope there will be someone there to speak for Q.

He mattered.

I guess at least we got something, and in the eyes of the law and the world, she is responsible. That matters.

This could have been another Anthony situation. She could have still been out partying and picking up people in bars.

Because of the determination and skill of the prosecution, we saw a unanimous guilty verdict.

And if the Susan Smith case is anything to go by, she's going to have to do a lot of spade work between now and her first parole board hearing to even be considered for release.

Leilani is vile. Her mother should have been charged for leaving Quinton with her while she went out of town.

No remorse from Leilani. Prosecution is methodically laying out a ton of evidence to support putting this waste of humanity away for ever. She has no place in society.
Did you see "mom" make a beeline out of the court room after sentencing?

Leilani basically got the same sentence as Susan Smith, who was just denied parole after serving 30 years for the murder of her children.

I’m betting Leilani may not be granted parole so quickly either. Maybe she’ll rack up enough infractions to keep her behind bars forever.

disappointing. When is the earliest she will be eligible for parole?
Really disappointing. I can't imagine why the judge was so easy on her. I know it's a long sentence, but not long enough IMO.
Quinton got the death penalty. RIP beautiful baby boy. We won't forget you.

Very true. It just doesn't feel like justice to me for what she did, that she would ever walk outside of a prison again.. But I'll take it and hope she gets denied parole every time.

Love that the prosecutor brought up Dan Markel.

The judge heard from several people how LS treated QS in addition to her throwing him in the dumpster causing an expensive and traumatizing search of the landfill and yet she still doesn't see her as an incorrigible unrepentant murderer deserving of LWOP. I have no respect for that judge and didn't see her as very competent.

I expected the judge to preface the sentencing. Leilani earned a scathing review.

Real credit goes to LE and their tireless efforts at the landfill.

Without his remains, no body AND no known cause of death might have been a hill too high. The thought of her going uncharged or acquitted is scary so I must be satisfied with life. Hoping the possibility of parole is 30+ years away. And either Leilani will grow up and earn her freedom back or she won't. Given her track record, she won't.

So many (incarcerated and convicted)  men sex offenders, so much time left to serve, I think we know how she'll spend her time, not unlike Susan Smith. Sexy talk with anything that will write back.

Bye for now, Leilani.

If it truly will be 30 years before Leilani is eligible for parole then it’s still a very long time. As pointed out above thread she’ll be too old to bear more children, so there’s that.

Her surviving kids will be adults and if they’re lucky enough to grow up away from that family they’ll have a fighting chance at becoming responsible, contributing members of society. Something needs to change in their lives and removing Leilani is a start. Hopefully the dads will step up but if not maybe the kids will go to good families far, far away.

I was disappointed in the judge. I thought she would show some emotion and have some harsh comments for Leilani...but she was very low key.

Did you notice the expression on BJH's face when Leilani said she wanted Q's remains to be released to her brother? She looked shocked IMO.

I was ready to hear what the judge had to say too. A BIG nothing-burger. The judge probably figured why bother, she didn't take accountability or have any remorse anyway.

I'm gonna wallow in my disgust and disappointment for while regardless...

BJH showed up in court today only for BJH.
The crying and blubbering was nonsense. She wants custody of the other two, and that was her pathetic plea. IMO

I think she blew her chances today also.

Even LS called her out, by 'wishing' Quintons remains go to Paul.

Those two cretins make my skin crawl

We can only hope! She might find a way. (that is to say, not after 30 years, but while incarcerated.)

Well, please! I hope they never give her the opportunity to take " selfies" either....

I just read an article today where a female inmate got pregnant by a male inmate passing his seed through AC vents :|

(no I don't care for the daily mail but it was interesting)

LS will probably keep herself busy making toilet talk with her prison BF's and fishing notes, drugs, pruno (prison alcohol) ect, through the toilet or vents.. yeah she'll probably get written up for violations plenty that will keep her in there for more than 30.
