Sam Poss was murdered, two people in custody for his murder:
Dakota White, 17
Brandon Warren, 18
Both are in Houston County Jail, being charged as adults.
Found late last night in the wooded area in Lake Joy area
Detective got some info on where the body might be

Where/how was he killed? Can confirm he was killed in the city of Perry, cannot release other details; No details on how he was killed
He had supposedly left Dakota's house at 1:30, reporter asked if he was he killed at Dakota's house? Answer: no
Was the other kid (Brandon) a friend or acquaintance? Answer: we think he was more of an acquaintance but no details
Specific time body found? in early hours this morning.

Family is grieving and requests the media not contact them at this time
GBI is assisting to recover and serve search warrants
9 people from Perry PD worked all night and GBI and Sheriffs dept came in to help
Was there drugs or alcohol involved? no comment at this time
Was there a gun shot wound? no comment at this time
Thanking for all the volunteers, SAR and departments that came together for the search
Body was roughly 4-5 miles outside Perry City jurisdiction so County and GBI were called in for that reason as well
They have hope they can bring someone to justice for his death.
First murder in Perry since 2008; Perry is one of the safest cities in state of Georgia.
Suspects were both arrested at their residence late last night (1st around 10:30 PM, other one later)
Anticipate more charges will be added to the murder charges, but it is too early to say what those charges will be.
Were suspects arrested before the body was found? Yes. They were. Clarified: 1st (Dakota) was arrested before the body was found, 2nd (Brandon) after the body was found around 3 AM.

There could be future arrests but right now they feel they have the 2 main players responsible in custody.
