Claude "Tex" McIver, attorney in Atlanta, has ranch in Putnam County. Charged with murder of his wife Diane McIver.. There is a thread for Diane McIver on Websleuths.

Did you see where his loan was due in...drumroll.....2014

didnt have any luck finding money.............

..so it was extended to 2017...........drumroll.....................wife dies prior to loan payoff in 2016

tex stated in article over on his thread that he planned to pay it off end of 2016, i guess he needed to kill for the money.........makes me suspicious of this guy, no telling what he'll do.

I wondered since the Dermonds had employees, if they ever used him since he was also in fulton co and an acquisition payroll employees etc atty for businesses..........

They had problems with their security system when the daughter was there 2 week before. Was it ever mention who was all there with the daughter or did she come alone?

The million dollar question for me is why did these 2 older people build such a big house with 2 stories and one that requires a lot of upkeep? This makes absolutely no sense.

That's my quote, can't say what it isn't if you dont know what it is! Please help me understand, we have a man on the lawn and SS says they still havent identified him yet......who is looking...........why not share that with the public, Is this normal to NOT share a perp on the loose APB? Im confused....It's cold............what's the point in withholding it if it's NOT cold much less if it's cold......Thank you!...
We really don't know what evidence SS found, and I thank him for not sharing everything. There could be DNA found eventhough there was, most likely, no rape. Someone earlier mentioned that you can't say what isn't unless you know what is.

That is hilarious.....you sound like my mom. Yeah I wouldnt want one that big either, but obviously they only used 1/6th of it seeing how clean it was............

I may have posted a link upthread......it was teh daughter and her kids, they were on spring break in NC/asheville the week before easter sunday... I was curious what day they returned home since school resumed on monday.....they all attended church on easter sunday according to the preacher, keys I think was his name??? So they could have returned after church or laid out of school on monday.. not THAT far to get home sunday night..................what Im also interested in is WHAT WOMAN lied to SS that he had to requestion and be alittle more "firm" with as he may have put it? Was it the daughter who didnt set the alarm or what, that has always bugged me, because 10 days give or take later, they were murdered......who lied, why, about what?

Murder at Great Waters video..............at about 7:35, "her body was weighted down with 30 lbs of cinder blocks"..........that's why i thought 2 @ 15 lb each.. due to other articles saying there were 2 blocks...............

I feel like there is definitely a link between Tex and this case. The stones, the similar social circles...follow the money.

Yeah you gotta wonder, IM keeping an open mind but you and I have discussed all the weird coincidences............I was never of the notion that a gun was used on him and beheaded for evidence but seeing how ole Tex loved guns and the loan was due in 2014 and the dermonds died, then the loan was extended to 2017 and then Diane died in late 2016..........too werid and he LOVED guns.............NOW, I can see that the head may have been taken due to gun evidence or lodged bullet or something, I dont think it would have been very high powered gun tho if it lodged, DO YOU?? Also he had easy access to GW without signing in due them owning a lot in GW, surely he had a boat, but IDK, it wasn't done alone I think that for sure....the Dermonds would have opened the door for him, or a call and was expecting him but the phone records would show that............so maybe not unless they used his services and no one has looked into him deeply due to him being atty and the Dermonds may have acquired his services in ATL when they both lived there/fulton county in the 80/90's when the Dermonds owned so many hardee franchises, they'd have needed an atty like Tex but both bought property in putnam in 90's......................probably more I've missed, except that we looked at his lot overhead on google and there are tons of stones and paths with pavers it LOOKS like...............so this is not all speculation, this is somewhat going witht he evidence gathered........One thing is for CERTAIN....SOMEONE killed them and I do see extortion now ince NOTHING was taken, it was a failed attempt and then THEY HAD TO DIE...........because they could identify the killers.....they very well may have used shirley as a decoy or leverage in the beginning................ol Tex is quite defiant adn brave so i suppose one could or should not put anything past him................HOW exactly it played out and WHO was involved IDK...............but if we dont know who it was, then we can't say who it was not! ..

YES I DID..........RP or GW president gave 30k, FBI initially donated 20k........the total reward fund is at 55K unless that's changed RECENTLY..............and we know Tex Mciver gave..............did he give the only other 5K.............and those are the 3, president probalby didnt do it, fbi didnt do it...............dont criminals usually place themselves in an investigation or somehow show up like this, looking innocent yet maybe NOT............that's just really weird..........When I foudn out he gave to the fund after his wife's death I started digging..........
how to find out WHO all gave to the Dermond reward fund??

basically things to consider

I would imagine if SS had done a thorough crime scene analysis he would have found GSR at the scene and on the body but I don't know if he's ever stated that. I still think we should find out if Tex owns a boat and what kind, and follow the money between the two cases.

I agree.....but Yeah I dont think he's ever stated about gun RESIDUE......you're right, should have been on the body or somewhere at the crime scene, wonder if they never checked? He has stated he didnt think a gun was used and IN OTHER accounts of this, that he thought a gun was used or could have been, these all contradictions in various interviews IIRC............why is that information still withheld, Is he a small town sheriff trying to get all the credit when the crime is solved, if ever? I mean he's basically waiting on a phone call, im like foxfire, many people out there to be looking out for things if we just knew, and many leads have come in from that information in other crimes... SS aint God and he KNEW who was wreaking havoc at the nuwbian compound so that was an easy solve............what evidence is there on this case?

Any way to find out about boat ownership by name through DNR? or elsewhere?

It's been stated SO many times early on in this case to "follow the money" ..you are right on, that phrase keeps rearing it's ugly head
