:tos: Someone has to spell it out, or the whole discussion goes. And if you can't spell it out, then the discussion goes, anyway.

Thanks.

Yes please.

Okay, it is interesting to note that Russell has a linked in page and he has only one connection. Possibly this is a fake account.
There is possibly another fake account, made possibly by a fictional character, and that person's name is in a song called Stashu Pandowski, and the connection is the same connection that Russell Dermond has on the LINKED IN profile, the same place of business.
Why are these connected to the Dermond case?? A riddle? A clue?
IMOO.

My understanding is that a name, SP is listed as the author on that you tube song and is on Mr. Dermond's linked in acct. and, that this name is completely made up and does not belong to any actual person.
But I am not sure if I am understanding correctly.....?

  • #184
I see it, but I don't understand the significance of it. ty

The significance might be, why would there be fake linked in accounts for Russell who is deceased and a fake account for a fake person?
It might be a riddle, or clue, perhaps, in solving the mystery to the Dermond's demise, perhaps, imoo.

  • #186
I'm seriously confused.

  • #187
Alrighty then, back to the drawing board. :)
I hope Sheriff Sills will give more information and I hope the Dermond's murders are solved.
IMOO.

Maybe the perp was generating a list of targets? Maybe the perp is SP? The use of the fictitious name name may be indicative of the age or origin of the perp.

I an being cautious in what I write because I don't want to get booted, or cause the thread to be under review again.

There are many profiles on a business website that state people are retired from a company that RD was retired from. I believe RDs profile is a fake. I believe they are all fake. Who wrote
them ? Why? There are many profiles, obviously written by the same person.

The SP profile,an obvious fake profile of a fictitious person, and an obscure reference to the obscure song, was listed as an officer of that company. I find it interesting the subject of the SP song is " ask me no questions, I'll tell you no lies"... I believe whoever wrote the fake profiles is sending a message, and I think it's possible the fake profile writer is the perp. Or associated with the perp.

Alrighty then. IIRC, the fake accounts were discussed in thread 1. So, are y'all just now discovering the fakes?? Or are the fake accts. being revisited?? Again, just color me

I'm revisiting each fake listing and going from there. I have reasons that I can't discuss here.

Good point DAMIFINO...

Not only can the heavy hitter/influencial political figures and donors residing in RP/GW bend ears back, but they are very effective in silencing the ms media, imo.. Seems, due to the lack of media updates as of late. This may be the strategy in play.. They simply want it to go away, due to the ramifications of an unsolved horrific crime on an otherwise perceived safe gated retirement community and tourist destination..jmo

You are right. I think that Tex McIver made that point in his letter to the editor of the Eatonton newspaper.

I want to thank you all for the warm welcome to the site and your patience as I learn the ropes. I have been very impressed by the respect that you all show each other and each other's opinions. That is CLASS!

YW, DAMIFINO.. We were all newbies at one time... Wished more viewers take the plunge and become websleuths members. It is very important to get the local's insights, as well as others. Awareness is the key in missing/murdered person's investigations.. From my experience, the cases with the least amount of awareness are the ones that end up in the cold case files.
'Silence only causes more innocent victims's lives lost and mounting cold cases, imo'...Most folks do not want to get involved and justify their decision by saying, 'let the police do their jobs'.. Without the public's help, the police have no leads/tips to follow up on, in most cases'.. The results is over 100,000+ missing/murdered person's cold cases in the USA and over 40,000 unidentified remains in morgues across the nation...jmo

Then please don't. If you connect some dots, and reach a conclusion you'd like to post, just run it by a mod first in a private message. We'll be glad to work with you.

Thanks.

We are definitely in dire straits of needing new information.

The discussion about docks way back yonder pointed out to me that with all the people from all over the country on this site, sometimes we miss the nuances of how things are done or what things are called in this area.

This is not NEW information, but a little background while we wait for a break. Putnam and Greene Counties were opened up for settlement in 1807. There are families there who are descendants of the ones who settled the area originally, and many of the families came in before the War Between the States. Everybody knows everybody and is related to everybody. It stayed that way until Lake Oconee was impounded around 1980. Now there are gated communities, condos, full time residents, weekenders, and guests at the Ritzy Carlton. The lake is about half way between Eatonton (the home of Brer Rabbit) and Greensboro. Now there are hardware stores, shopping centers, banks, churches, restaurants, everything an upscale resident would want at the lake. Eatonton and Greensboro are pretty much the same as they have always been-like Mayberry.( I think that's a good thing, I love my little Mayberry-like town.)

Other than employing locals, I would guess that locals do not mix with the lake people. We small town/county folks consider anyone who has not been here over a hundred years a newcomer and the lake people probably consider the locals as stupid rednecks.

Since many of the lake people came from Atlanta or commute from Atlanta, they probably have no sense of community and are not into everybody knowing everybody and their business. They would keep to themselves even in their gated areas and not mix even with other much and certainly do not divulge much about themselves.

BTW -If you want to see who is full time and who is a weekender at LO, go to qpublic. You can search by street. If the mailing address is other than LO, and they do not claim homestead exemption on the property, the property is not their full time residence.

Like I said, just background..not to imply anything about anything.

Hi DAMIFINO! :seeya: So glad you are joining in and putting your local spin and insight into Eatonton and Greensboro for us "outsiders".

Respectfully snipped and bolded by me above particularly interests me. The Dermonds had lived at Great Waters for about 20 years, if I am remembering my dates correctly. I would think after that many years the Dermonds may have become acquainted with some "town people" and if indeed Mrs. Dermond did have occasional help cleaning her house (3000 sq ft) she would have probably hired a "town person" that came highly recommended by other full time "lake residents" that may have hired people to clean their house, yard maintenance workers, contractors for house maintenance and repairs etc. Lakeoconee quoted as many as 10,000 vehicles having the RP/GW stickers which allowed entry into the gated community. Would you be of the opinion that Sheriff Sills should bring the GBI into the Dermond murders investigation regarding the high number of potential suspects?

I'm also interested in how successful Sheriff Sills was in getting compliance from all RP/GW residents and "outside workers" in completing the questionaire he and the FBI compiled.

Would you agree that there are a lot of loose ends still floating around Great Waters as far as ruling certain "lake people" in or out as suspects and ruling the "outside workers" in or out as suspects?

Again, Thank you for speaking up and letting us outside folks learning a little about being on the inside of Eatonton, Georgia. :seeya:
