I pray for Izzy to have an amazing support system in place as this is really going to be hard for her.

Rest in Peace Sunday.....I am so very sorry for this to have happened to you.

What a shame, a waste, a nightmare...

I still have his entire wall opened back until a few days before Sunday vanished...

I'm in the process of pasting it into word...sorry it's the best I can do.

Rest in Peace, beautiful Sunday <3 I really hope that LE continues this investigation thoroughly, because it seems there is a LOT more to this story than meets the eye. I just feel in my gut that there are more people involved besides this man. I pray that justice is served to all those involved in this nightmare. God be with little Izzy.

From this link:

A Colquitt County Coroner has confirmed that he removed a body from a wooded area, roughly 200 yards off Vickers Bridge Road in Lenox, Georgia earlier Thursday.

That body has been turned over to the Tift County Coroners office who will handle the autopsy.

"I heard that she was shot in the house and that could be why there is blood splattered on the roof and the wall, I don't know," says the Landlord Linda Rutland.

(awful)

Woman’s body found
Man charged, says Colquitt sheriff

Frank Sayles/Publisher CNHI

TIFTON — The badly decomposed body of Sunday Blombergh, a Tift County woman missing since April 22, was found Thursday in a wooded area in Colquitt County near the Tift County line, authorities say.

The body has been positively identified, said David Haire, spokesman for the Tift County Sheriff’s Office.

Late Thursday afternoon, Haire said the Blombergh family had been notified. But the Sheriff’s Office refused to comment further and would not say whether homicide is suspected and if anyone has been arrested.

However, Colquitt County Sheriff Al Whittington told the Moultrie Observer that a man has been charged in connection with the case.

“All I know is they made an arrest and the guy told them where to go find the body,” Whittington said.

The body was found in deep woods accessed from near the bridge at the dead end of Vickers Bridge Road, said Colquitt County Coroner Verlyn Brock. The location was between Ellenton and Lenox.

The body was turned over to the Tift County Coroner’s Office, Brock said.

Brock told the Observer that he was called out to an area on Vickers Bridge Road at about 1:15 p.m. Thursday. The condition of the body prevented him from determining the person’s sex or age, he said.

“It was under investigation by the Tift County Sheriff’s Office and GBI,” he said. “After I did an on-site investigation, I released it to the Tift County coroner.”

Haire was asked specifically about arrests in connection with the case.

“I cannot confirm or deny anything,” Haire said. “I can only say what the (Tift) sheriff and the GBI have authorized me to say.”

Haire said the Georgia Bureau of Investigation’s assistant special agent in charge of the case, Mark Pro, was with him as he talked to the Gazette on the phone. The agent declined to speak to the newspaper, Haire said.

When asked why the Tift County Sheriff’s Office and the GBI are shrouding the basic details of the case in so much secrecy, Haire would only say that a press conference is scheduled at 11 a.m. today.

Sheriff Gary Vowell was unavailable to comment, Haire said Thursday.

Blombergh, 28, disappeared from her Tift County home on April 22. She and her young school-aged daughter were living with her mother-in-law, Ruby Evans, in a home on Briarwood Lane in southern Tift County.

One of Sunday Blombergh’s sisters, Sunshine Blombergh, had told the Gazette that she was scheduled to pick up her sister at the home and plans were that Sunday would get a job in Tallahassee, Fla., visit her daughter in Tifton until school was out for summer break and then move with her daughter to Tallahassee.

That is really awful. Why would they print that? God that makes me so mad. I know, lets insult and put down someone who has been MURDERED with hearsay :furious:

Unbelievable that the reporter would even think of QUOTING the words that woman spoke!!!
I left a comment requesting the story be removed, but evidently they have to approve the comment before it appears.

I did too.. I also sent an email to the editor and put in a rant in the contact us section. I have never seen such lack of compassion. She was murdered! At least think of the family.. let Sunday have respect and dignity in death.
UNREAL.

I'm trying to keep checking but will Izzy have a separate fund? Or should we just send to Sunday's fund?

That is a beautiful picture Lavonda.
Are you related or friend of the family? Sorry if you mentioned prior.

No, I am not related. It is my organization that has worked with the family in trying to find Sunday. They are an extremely close and one of the most compassionate and loving family that I've had the honors to work with. They did anything and everything possible and always with keeping Sunday and Isabella at the forefront of all that they did. I'm truly saddened.

Rest in Peace Sunday.....I am so very sorry for this to have happened to you.

What a shame, a waste, a nightmare...

Isabella has the most strong support with the family than any child can hope to have. Thank goodness that is not a worry. She has many aunts and uncles there for her and cousins. Also, she has her grandparents...Sunday's mom and dad.

I believe the reward fund is converting to a fund for Izzy or may be converted to help cover funeral expenses. Once I receive confirmation I will post.

Unbelievable that the reporter would even think of QUOTING the words that woman spoke!!!
I left a comment requesting the story be removed, but evidently they have to approve the comment before it appears.

First of all, she did not "disappear for days." She would travel the 2 hour drive back and forth between Tallahassee FL and back to GA while preparing for her move. Because Isabella was in school she wasn't able to make the overnight trips while her mom made the trips for job interviews, etc. As for the sores and incoherent...that has never been reported by anyone else..ever. Sunday was always devoted to her daughter. Just very very sad. And yes..shame on the reporter for writing hearsay...especially knowing her daughter will have access to read all someday.

I do agree.....I mean we all have an idea she was a druggo...there is no doubt about that....but that description really does paint an awful picture of her and really put her down doesnt it......

I wonder how recent all of the photos are that have been posted......because in all of the photos I have seen I have got to say that she is a very naturally beautiful girl....who doesnt seem to wear much makeup and still had beautiful skin and hair.....she looked very healthy....

I am wondering why she went to live with the mother in law in the first place....and her new husband........was she desperate for somewhere to live or something????

he commented that Ruby wanted her dead.....if this is the case it must have been very uncomfortable for her living there.......you can bet that is why she was leaving......

there will be more to this for sure and I bet MIL was not going to allow the little girl to go with her and there would have been the "unfit mother" threats etc......

Anyhow beside the point.....Rest In Peace Sunday........such a beautiful girl and so sad your life has ended..
