People who gauge their ears usually have an edgy style and I sure wouldn't call RH edgy. But maybe he has changed over the years.

It would have had to have been a larger gauge to leave a scar like that, as well. Over 12 mm at least.

To me, it looks more like an ear ring that got ripped out and didn't heal right.

She didn't look medicated, shocky or anything close to sad. Looked to me like she was composing her ''to do'' list,

1. Pack bags and any extra money laying around the house.
2. Make sure passport is up to date.
3. Clean out the bank account.
4. Make sure to pack all non maxed out credit cards.
5. Search up non extradition countries.
6. Make reservation for the correct airline.
7. Tell Ross he can shove it and pay for this crime all on his own in a last minute phone call/note before heading to airport and/or boarding plane.

You mean that kind of "to do" list?

She looked like that cat that just swallowed the canary to me. Like she had done no wrong.
*and I am not saying she did.

now wait just a second there lady .... oh, wait, I pay my bills. lol I seriously put my child's 2013-14 tuition on my Amex to get the reward points. By the time she's done with HS I'll be able to spend a month in Fiji I figure :)

LOL, I'm with you--I charge EVERYTHING. But I have the money to pay the bill.

The only way what he did is a good idea is if he was buying coins from the Mint and depositing them into his account.

Yes. Effective July 1 there is a second degree murder charge and it applies to child cruelty. I don't remember whether it applies to first degree and/or second, though. I think second, but I've had a cocktail ;)

Is it retroactive? Where did you find this? I'd like to read the actual law if possible.

You make some good points. He was incredibly stupid in regards to the computer/phone evidence.

I didn't need the computer/social media evidence to change my mind though it did help. Old fashion motive via the life insurance made a big difference to me.

For me, I could not accept the googling of death in hot cars as a coincidence. To me, that is insanely incriminating on its own.

Narcissistic psychopath.
You left out Scott Peterson and Jodi Arias. Of course Jodi wasn't a parent, but she'd never let herself get pregnant like Casey Anthony did.

Well if his lawyer was shocked he sure did not show it to me...he just kept on plugging away and digging and digging in.

now that's the troubling part of today.......there should have been some reaction rather than just seeing her chew her cud......there was an insolence about her that was 'unsettlling' to say the least....

yeah, I know... "well, if that were me" posts aren't actually helpful. But, I have to say, if that had been me, I promise you, it would not matter if I was in shock, medicated, brow-beaten, or whatever; I would have jumped up and headed straight for my man's throat. And, I know violence is not the solution to violence. Wouldn't have mattered. I would have turned violent. It would have been a reaction.

eta: here's popsicle's OP:

HB 271 amends Title 16, relating to crimes and offenses, so as to create the offense of murder in the second degree, and provides for penalties. A person commits the offense of murder in the second degree when, in the commission of cruelty to children in the second degree, he or she causes the death of another human being irrespective of malice. A person convicted of the offense of murder in the second degree shall be punished by imprisonment for not less than ten nor more than 30 years.

If there ever was a day that a cocktail is in order, it's definitely today

If Ross had deleted the sexting photos from his cell phone, would LE have been able to retrieve them at this point, or would it take longer? I wonder if he never deleted them.

Didn't they say when he would delete things from one place they popped up on another device? Seems he had them linked. jmo

Leanna looked bored to me. She seemed completely unfazed by what was being said in the courtroom about the death of her precious baby.

That's it! bored...not still mourning her son, just bored.

Yes! I know people are upset about what she said about the judge being a SOB for not granting bond, BUT my heart breaks for her. She was put through the ringer today. I can understand her misplaced anger. After all this is her child being accused of killing her grandchild. She had to hear for the first time her son wasn't the man he was pretending to be. That has to be so deeply devastating!

I won't be popular for saying this but here goes.

I know someone just like her.

The woman I know has a really bad bad boy for a son and she acts like a crazy woman -- loses all sense of proportion and is in such deep denial that her precious little boy is a criminal. Truth is the woman I know has been an enabler for years. Oh yes fair to say beloved Momma's boy.

Oh yes the woman I know is a ''bright'' university degreed mom who has totally lost her marbles because her son is in prison.

I truly feel sorry for these women but they have had a reality issue for some time it seems. MOO

I'll point it out to the assigned mods. I just dropped in cuz I'm interested in the case.

I think Salem has a surprise for you guys tomorrow, but don't tell her I told you. :kimsterwink: I overheard her and Nursebeeme talking by the water cooler.
Pink flying saucers???

I heard him sigh big time during the "leftovers" nonsense. imo he isn't thrilled with his client.

Had a thought... Perhaps she wanted rid of them both.

Popsicle, don't do that to me!
I was going to answer your post and it was gone.

I asked Karmady, but maybe I'm on ignore.

I feel pretty sure after today that they're going to try him for murder, or at least first degree child cruelty. I didn't think so until I learned that the felony murder charge could be problematic given the new law and sentencing. If they didn't have to, no reason to. But now I think they have to.

eta: and more major props to popsicle. That new law is extremely key imo!

What's the new law? Do you have a link? The way I had tried to explain the drop to 2nd degree was because it would be less burden to the state to prove criminal negligence vs. intent and the felony murder stays the same either way.

The DA said so much today during closing that while they felt they had enough evidence to prove intent, they were asking him to be bound over on the current charge.
