GA - Twin brothers miss flight to Boston, found dead 24 hours later in Georgia mountains, 14 Mar 2025

I, too, find so many questions with M/S or a suicide pact. There are just so many questions and so few answers. The lack of answers (even though we’re not entitled to them) can certainly lead to speculation that this is foul play at the hand(s) of another.

Have there been any conclusive answers as to whether one or both boys were scheduled to fly to Boston? Was/were the flight(s) round-trip? If only one of them was going to Boston and his ticket was only one way, could this have triggered a M/S?
Only that its been reported ( by family) that boarding passes or tickets were found in their wallet. Which means they would have checked in right? Someone else suggested that it could have just been an itinerary. Hard to know what to believe anymore.

Great points. I found it odd that there was no mention about the gun from the family. They don’t believe it was murder suicide and boys not owning the gun or no gun missing in the family is huge argument against murder suicide.

Unless of course gun is missing from friends or family and saying it to the media will convince some people it was murder suicide because they had gun with them. Which will result in less attention to the case.
Could the perceived silence in reference to who owned the gun and/or where it came from possibly be because it was the “property” of a convicted felon who was not allowed to possess it?

There seems to be nothing conclusive about one or both of them scheduled to fly out. Family has stated that both of them had tickets in their wallets but different stories have also came out. Can't get anything from news to clarify anything.

Why so hush-hush? I can totally respect the privacy if they say why. To leave it at M/S that doesnt sit well with the family, and not expect all the websleuthers to go over it with a fine-tooth comb? Not a chance.
They're doing more investigating? like what? Tox? What will that change?
Maybe they investigating, but at least have a press conference or something and tell everyone where you are at.
Murder cases have become increasingly complex and hypertechnical... Sometimes, it takes several weeks to get phone records and then more weeks to analyze them. It can take months to get lab test results because of backlog. If investigators suspect someone, releasing any information could tip them off. The GBI has 100's of other murder cases to solve. They know what they are doing!

okay so they died from gunshot wounds...what could a TOX report tell us? what does the forensic exam consist of? have their computers and phones been taken? this is CRAZY! they cannot honestly expect this family to just say ok to such a bizarre set of circumstances. They have a right to know what happened and if it is M/S then what drove this situation.

I mean the family doesn't even need to make it public. They can say that evidence found leads them to believe that this was in fact a M/S and the tragic case is closed.

Now what are the deets on the gun? if the gun did belong to a family member then that opens up a whole new can of worms. I personally doubt it. No..I think someone who knows their way around that mountain, took them up there and killed them..If it was catfish I think there had to be something
to benefit the catfish..like money...if not, what is the point of such an elaborate scheme? mOO
Tox report could say if there was anything in their system, from beer to GHB to something else. Or something missing that should be there, as in if either were on any medication and there was no indication of it. Any of these could be important to piecing things together.

Not just Tox, but any bruising, marks, blood pooling, time of death, stomach contents, breakdown of tissues, environmental effects, marks on hands (like from a gun), powder burns on hands or head, how many gunshots and where, anything odd in their clothing (shoes on opposite feet), sexual assault, so many many things to cover if they do it right.

I have to assume phones and any computers would be analyzed. They would have to be sure whether there was any catfishing or other online activities that could lead them to the mountain. Or somewhere NOT the mountain and kidnapped to the mountain. Or not.

I also cannot believe that the Gas station video is the only video they found. There might be a lot of video to pour through (or not). Did they fill the tank? 1/4 tank? That also factors in.

Honestly, if there is any evidence of just plain murder, I would assume they would keep that close so as to not give away any evidence they might have.

ETA: Cause of Death could be exsanguination from Gunshot wounds or something different from gunshot wounds. Manner of death still needs to be determined.

No disrespect to the grieving families, but I was wondering-any chance of this being a meet up to buy or sell drugs, that went wrong? I could see this happening, and ending very poorly.

no need to meet at such an odd location to buy or sell drugs

Thank you.

If it were that obvious I doubt we'd be here speculating. No offense intended 👍
Respectfully. The reason we are here is the family of Naazir and Quaadir do not believe the preliminary opinion stated by the GBI.

They have offered reasons such as - they do not hike, didn’t even know Bell Mountain existed, newly licensed drivers, car was in poor shape, don’t own a gun, had purchased plane tickets to travel to Boston, loved each other and wouldn’t hurt one another, were attending college. Makes sense to suspect foul play, can’t blame them.

Just an observation. The family who actually lived with the boys, is not making the same statements as the Aunts?

The family/public don’t know what the GBI investigation has uncovered, beyond the gas station video. We don’t know their history, or even current state of their lives. Only what we’ve been told by people who may not know certain things, which is not unusual at their age.

The wait for a conclusion is torture for the families. It doesn’t seem rational that the GBI can’t share what they know at this point with them.

Agree, that could have been done at the gas station that night. No need to drive ninety miles.

I am remembering back to the woman who was found on the trail after being seen at the $ store. She had been set on fire and died. For a long time, we all thought it was murder. Then, it came out that it was deemed a suicide.

I think LE is in the habit of providing less and less details to the public as they investigate. It may be that key evidence that is pointing one way or another will only come out when the final determination is made by LE.

It makes me sad that these two young men may have ended their own lives for any reason.

Joseph Scott Morgan replied to my post on this case, see below. Look forward to listening to his podcast tomorrow!!

Hello Knox!
Just finished taping the episode of Body Bags debuting tomorrow on this case. Super bizarre in that these twins (according to family) had never been to Towns County Ga, let alone Bell Mountain. I have lived in that area previously VERY ISOLATED. It's not some place you wind up in by accident. Though the GBI told family that this was a Murder/suicide, they have also stated that the investigation is still ongoing. Need more info........

It seems that the family agrees with all of us here at WS and do not believe the murder/suicide statements that LE has come out with.

I also wonder what the position of the driver’s seat and mirrors were. Are they indicative of either brother having been the last to drive the vehicle?
Yes, yes, yes. All of the normal questions that WS would ask and frustration when LE would not ask the very same questions that we are raising on this thread.

Thank you for your local insight. I'm just having a problem of the murder/suicide conclusion. If they wanted to commit suicide, why not just jump off the mountain top and fall to their deaths? Why bring a gun and shoot themselves to death?

I’m confused. How have you determined what the GBI has or has not evaluated in their investigation, when they have released so few details?

They have clearly stated they are waiting for tox results before making a final case ruling. We know next to nothing about Naazir and Quaadir.

Outside of feeling horrible for the family, because it seems like far too long to keep them waiting for answers. I don’t feel we have enough information to understand why the GBI is leaning towards M/S.

I know when I was a teenager there were LOTS of things my parents/family didn't know. I know for a fact that I went LOTS of places my parents had no idea about.

I'd like to know, assuming only one brother was off to Boston, what was that trip for?

The GBI says murder suicide, and both found with gunshot wounds. At this juncture, I'd think it would be quite a scene to watch unfold if GBI has to walk back on all that.

Where'd that gun come from anyway?

I wonder what they could be testing for?
