That is sad, I didnt know there are elderly people that have to do that. I guess I was naive in thinking that prescription drugs were not such a plentiful thing.
You're not naive, Bratlings. Obviously you're not hanging with people who market their own prescription. And, from some doctors, it is very easy to get a prescription for these pain pills.
Look at my own little family - my husband and I. Because of an accident that caused a broken cheekbone, my doctor gave me a hydrocodone script for 50 pills. Less than a few days later, my husband was going to have some teeth pulled and the dentist gave him a script for hydro, a high mmg, for 30 tablets. And, because he has an artifical heart valve, our family doctor offered to write my husband a script for 50 hydro. We refused that script since the dentist had given him one. But, imagine, within a few days we could have had 130 pills between us all from legal prescriptions. At $10 a tablet we could have sold them for $1,300.
In fact we still have about 60 in all of those pills left. Neither of us like taking hydro because it is so addictive. See how easy it can be to get these pain meds?
