Lol reporters wording. First bold in report can confuse reader to believe this was a massive illegal chop shop business going on, but their wording means, because the hangar was massive/giant in size. As you continue to read the article, you discover there was less than ten vehicles found in the hangar. Who's to say these vehicles did not belong to DM, WM, or friends. Chop shops want to keep vehicles and parts coming and going at a quick rate but I would say ten is a minute amount for big time operation. To me it just appears DM and MS, possibly one or two others were just into stealing vehicles and the hangar was the most convienient/obvious/suitable place to dismantle and store them. I don't believe there were many people involved in this chop shop. Just a couple low life scumbags who enjoyed tinkering with vehicles. MOO
Police say they've found evidence that suggests a hangar at the Region of Waterloo International Airport owned by Dellen Millard was being used as a giant "chop shop" for stolen vehicles.
Hamilton police confirmed Thursday they're investigating multiple stolen vehicles and parts found inside the massive Breslau hangar.
There were a number of vehicles and/or parts found in the hangar and this remains under investigation," Constable Debbie McGreal-Dinning said in an email.
Police say they're still trying to track down owners of the discovered vehicles, putting the number found at fewer than 10.
The description of vehicles dismantled, repainted and having serial numbers ground away fits with a "typical chop shop," said Waterloo Regional Police Inspector Kevin Thaler.

In Marty's case, the bike was in dozens of pieces. Serial numbers had been shaved away and the trailer had already been registered as a homemade trailer within hours after the theft.
I totally agree Swedie, most pics we've been able to see suggest DM and his posse were totally into vehicles, be it racing them, building them, or just plain working on them. Since there were so few parts/vehicles found in the hangar, they were most likely running the chop shop for their own pleasure. IMO, it would be very interesting to know who the motorcycle trailer was registered to within hours after it was stolen.....MOO MOO MOO

Yes, I just posted that link. It does show that there was someone else who thought they could carry on quite well without DM.

Maybe someone who was using an email like Dell.Millard@ -------.com ?? Would make sense for someone who is up to something to order via that email if supplies are going to a MillardAir hangar ! JMO
Pure fabrication IMO doesn't help solve a case..... much of the rental business at the hangar was happening when WM was alive....some of the photo shoots were in 2005.... thats when CM was alive, so how can anyone suggest DM let loose after his dad died ? IMO his dad was very much alive when the hangar was rented. Not only that ...the so called stolen Harley was stolen last Fall....so WM was probably still alive then too IMO.
DM is 27 he was 27 when his dad died....are we really supposed to believe that his dad kept tabs on him at 27 and bossed him around ? I have a 27 year old son and I would not dream of bossing him around and keeping tabs on him, he's a grown man !!!!
DM had his own money, the farm is in his name and it was viewed alongside his dad and bought solely by DM....whilst his dad was alive....so how can anyone come to the conclusion that DM didnt have any money? Not only that I imagine we can pull up the will of CM (it is public record) and see if CM left money to DM.
And yes it is just someones speculation that money was borrowed against the hangar for DM's properties...as we have not seen any facts to support that claim.
<modsnip>.
Lets hope the full truth about it all comes out...and I suspect it may. Then and only then shall we have all of the information that can lead to true justice.
You seem to be mixing up several different hangars. The Millards had three hangars at Pearson -- two old ones and a new one. The new one is leased out or was until recently (it might have been sold). The two old ones were pretty much non-functioning in the decade before they were demolished. That's why they could film movies there and do other stuff.
The Waterloo hangar was completed last year at a cost of millions to house an MRO. It was never rented out when Wayne was alive.
<modsnip>DM took TB for a test drive from which he never returned. The body was found on his incinerator-equipped farm, the truck at DM's mother's.
Most people here choose to reserve their sympathy for TB.

I believe the so called stolen Harley was at the new hangar ?? that was last Fall wasn't it that it was allegedly stolen...? I believe it (new hangar) never got major contracts due to the inability of AS who failed to secure contracts, thus prompting DM to question AS as to why? Regardless of which hangar, I was referring to any of them... renting of hangars was happening when WM was alive IMO...so why chastise DM for renting out his own hangars?
This is turning into a witch hunt for DM IMO..... I guess thats why its so hard to find suitable jurors these days as many have preformed opinions, and have decided on the verdict months...if not years before a trial even gets off the ground. JMO
I have sympathy for victims..... not just murder victims...even victims that are wrongfully accused. They and their families are hurt too when this happens. I believe in researching from a presumption of innocence standpoint...not a 'hang him, hang him' standpoint.... I have no time for bloodlust be it a murder or a public witch hunt. JMO

'...bought solely by DM...'?
Or bought for DM?
Who laid down the cash?
Either way do you have a link BQ?
Nicholson, 66, helped sell the farm in North Dumfries to Dellen Millard in 2011.
snip
Nicholson recalls that events moved quickly in the spring of 2011. A few months earlier, Dellen Millard had called Nicholson from 2548 Roseville Rd., dialing the number on the For Sale sign and introducing himself.
Millard explained his interest in the farm, a 46-hectare property with an old barn, but no residence. Nicholson met him to walk the property. Millard eventually explained that he planned to build a house there for himself and his fiancée. He was discussing, where do you think is a good spot?
They met several times at the farm, joined sometimes by Dellens father Wayne Millard, president of family business Millardair. The father has since passed away.

In May 2011, Dellen Millard bought the farm without conditions, a cash sale. It was listed for $899,000 and he purchased it for $835,000 from an older man who had raised livestock in the barn.

And JMO about the purchase of properties was a way of investing money for safe guarding should the hangar business go belly up. Money was borrowed against the hangar business to purchase these properties.
In 1970 the DC-3s were used to fly passengers on third-level services, and in 1972 the four-engined Douglas DC-4 joined the company's fleet. Some of the DC-3s were exchanged for Douglas C-117 Super Dakota, and operations continued until finding slots at Toronto airport became difficult and operations ceased due to bankruptcy on 31 May 1990.
With all due respect Alethea Dice, there is no mention of who put down the cash for the farm - it could have been DM, WM or someone else.
