Some good reading Arnie, thanks for sharing. So IMO a few of CM's collectibles were used as props. Wonder what CM would think of this. :dunno: JMO

Some of the props included for this event:

* Bell 47 helicopter! (Oh yeah!)
* Navajo airplane!
* Vintage 60's and 70's cadillacs! Yes you can sit IN them!
* Various airplane parts!
* Tools!

<snip>

Some of CM's Cadillac collection being sold (kijiji Sept 2013) .... as well as DM's Cobra kit .

Either funds are needed , or the current owner feels he will not have the opportunity to use them (my speculation)

As you said swedie ..... I expect CM would not be pleased.

Thx Arnie. Was the black body on kijiji as well? I find it odd the seller from Brantford would leave DM 's name on it.

Definitely something weird about that. Obviously someone asked this guy to sell these items. Leaving DM's name so obviously apparent. Who would have said to sell these items??? Definitely interesting, to say the least.
It wouldn't be DM that said sell them would it? Someone getting him squirming, perhaps??

The body is included but pics are not from kijiji ..... as a "car guy" I am slightly interested in it ... price is reasonable and they will probably get close to that ..... if it was $30k I would be on my way to pick it up :)

The Eldorado conv is in excellent condition but color scheme is not the most desired .... if it was candy apple red with white roof and white button tuft leather interior it would sell in an instant at $15k

trivia ... the '72 - '73 Eldorado convertible was considered "thee" pimpmobile in Vegas back in those days .... I was there '74 - '75 and they lined the streets beside the best hotels .... the "drivers" wore white or pink silk suits .... large fedoras with peacock feathers .... all very classy and legal..... Elvis was playing live every evening .... Howard Hughes was sequestered in his penthouse suite .

For old school pilots and airlines (like CM) (& Max Ward etc ) the airlines in Canada were heavily regulated for international flights unless it was a "charter" .... thus smaller operators had many ''charter flights" outside the country (Vegas) ..... Wardair used to fill his airliner full of ... "Grandmothers of the Japan Martial Arts club" .... so he could ... "fly them to Florida for a convention" ... which of course was .... "held on the beach every January" ....

Guys like CM get their ''hankering for Eldorados " from a bygone era

.

I am reluctant to go any farther adrift on this topic .... sufficient to say that the "seller" is a legit ... "employee" .... "representative" ... 'liquidator" .. of certain MA (DM) "equipment" ..... and chooses to continue using MA and DM contact info

Remember after WM passed "somebody" was hired to sell the tools and equipment for the cancelled MRO operation ..... this is just a "continuation" of items for sale and we should respect that .... and not read anything nefarious into it ..... he is just a sales rep .... best wishes and thank you.

How do you know the body is included? Just because the ad says practically everything except the rims and tires? Those pictures are from someone else's personal FB page, so I'm curious since none were included in the ad.

I believe this is a different employee than the one hired to sell the equipment for the cancelled MRO.

Oh my, thanks for the links Arnie....interesting. Agreed, DM has no future use for them and mom(?) sought out assistance to help sell off inventory and collections from hangar. I am assuming because the hangar and the farmland have not been put on the chopping block yet, LE have not released them from further investigations. MOO.

And how ironic, selling on Kijiji none the less. Notice sellers name.

Leaving his name of it could make it a "hot" sought after item. Amazing how people are interested in owning something which once belonged to a murderer. I'm speaking of already convicted murderers btw. HTH.

Cannot see the whole interior of the hangar in this picture, but it looks pretty tidy in that corner. Someone's been doing some cleaning up, clearing out. Too bad DM didn't find the ambition to do it. He may not be were he is today. I feel certain SA would have been pleased and we may have seen MA in a whole new productive light. MOO.

Oh and that full sized white van, I'm assuming it belonged to MA; couldn't that have been used to haul a large trailer around? Big enough motor? Sorry I'm not up on this info. Arnie what do you know/think, TIA.

This seller has been selling off all DM's/MA vehicles and items on kijiji for some time now. I wonder what he is doing with the money? It's been posted before along with concern about this person's role and intent.

This is DM'S personal mechanic/car guy and from the close-knit circle of friends. He likes to use DM's contact info as his own. He also appears to like kijiji. Relevant links prohibited on WS.

Actually most modern day state of the art aircraft maintenance facilities are neat as a pin , almost sterile like an operating room .... including the mechanics and their tools .... and they often get paid more than the pilots.

They should be able to lease or sell the hangar to a (smaller) airline and I expect that is what they are aiming for.

Van is a typical airport runabout .... parcels and parts etc ... it could tow a smaller trailer but the large black trailer it has to be a truck ("5th wheel" hitch is in the box)

I think that maybe if you happen to be a "car person" and contact the seller they might send you additional pictures that weren't on Kijiji. Ahem. Thus the FB pics.

I haven't really followed anything else on websleuths before now. I am a virgin websleuth so I guess I am allowed to have a question. Is selling off all assets within months of incarceration with a non guilty plea normal? Selling the homes and now personal items so quickly, is this normal? Is anything about this case normal? Why is my head always spinning with the immediate liquidation of assets?
Does DM owe someone a lot of money?? Does he know he is guilty and is afraid of a civil suit? Weird.

Wow-things are slowing down to a snails pace here. It's hard to believe that we haven't heard a single word from TPS since they left the farm a week ago. DM & MS's friends appear to be all working under social media aliases now or have secured their accounts to the max- IMO there's no way that they'd be staying away from FB or twitter and yet, we are running on sleuthing fumes. MOO

Now my question is-who tipped them off to the point where they did an extensive 5 day search on the farm. What kind of evidence did they come out with...if any? And last of all, why did the person who tipped them off actually offer up information, especially if there was a possibility that TPS would come out with nothing? Really playing the devils advocate here, but there is, as always, a possibility that someone from the DM camp did offer up TPS false information in an effort to gain public sympathy for DM? There's just something crazy about an intensive, highly publicized search that lasts 5 days and nothing but 50 or so barrels of various liquids that TPS have said has nothing to do with their investigation.
I'm just having a hard time believing that TPS would be acting on a wild tip and IMO if they did have anything, TPS would be trying to save a little bit of face because of the initial handling of the LB case and would be racing into a presser to let the world know that they were doing their job and had in fact found something? JMHO

BBM

I fail to see how bringing the search for LB back into the spotlight with a widely accepted heavy innuendo that she was murdered by DM could possibly gain public sympathy for him. There are, however, several other alternative groups or individuals whose motives in grabbing the headlines whenever those charged are scheduled to appear in court for precisely the reverse reason - namely to help insure that any bail petition or other representation by those presently charged with the murder of Timothy Bosma is thwarted or delayed. Would such motivation be sufficient to actually provide false information to LE? Perhaps. As importantly, IF such entities are so deeply invested in insuring that those charged are found guilty, then have there been other lies or calculated redirections associated with this case? Depending on the wording of the two search warrants carried out by TPS, if no incriminating evidence has been found then, imo LE should turn and look very, very carefully at the sources of the tips or other information that led to these very, very expensive and, reportedly, futile searches of the farm.

That being said, I understand that another purpose for a search could be to prove that certain evidence does NOT exist. In such an occurrence, LE may, at least theoretically, have been purposefully setting out to disprove the legitimacy of certain sources of information. However, I view this as unlikely given the unsecured nature of DM's farm for several weeks which property, evidently, has unknown numbers of neighbors, hikers and others frequently roaming around it and also because of the aforementioned expense in heavy equipment and specialized manpower.

Quite apart from how one feels about the strength of the evidence for or against DM and MS, I'm of the opinion that the information sources leading to each of the two TPS searches of the Millard farm property should be thoroughly investigated. IMO. IMHO. MOO. :moo:

Skatergirl, I'm of the same mindset as you are in concern to LE having confirmed the reliability of the info before they sent that massive crew out to Ayr. But that's where I run into a block. My understanding was that TPS had a search warrant pertaining to the disappearance of LB. If TPS did find something implicating DM in something else, would they be able to use it as evidence for anything? Could DP argue that TPS didn't have reasonable grounds to even do a search-therefore DM's rights were violated? MOO

I'm still keeping the faith that TPS didn't come out empty handed. IMO, as it's been said here before, it's a strike against TPS if they actually act on 2 tips (one for the earlier search) and come out of both with nothing. JMHO

Interesting question. I stand to be corrected but I think, where a legitimate search warrant has first been obtained that spells out the terms and purpose of the search, police can enter and search anybody's property at any time. There's no necessity for anybody to be incarcerated or even charged with a crime in advance of a fully legitimate search. It is up to LE to provide to the court compelling reasons for the necessity for a search sufficient to obtain a warrant. That's all.

If, during the process of a search, LE should discover evidence of another unrelated crime, they could secure another search warrant specifying the new purpose or report the information to the correct police jurisdiction who might then obtain their own search warrant specifying the exact purpose of their new search.

I would expect, depending on the seriousness of the crime or crimes involved, that where it could be proven that a second search warrant was obtained based on information arising from the first search, that the legitimacy of the second search warrant would be heavily contested in court.

Hopefully there's a sleuther still around who can clarify?

IMO MOO

DP really has no legal say in the criminality of the processing of LB's case. Yet.

He may have some civil representation based on a property of his client being searched, but no charges have been filed, and no questioning of his client has been done, per him.

Legal systems are different sometimes but you summed it appropriately.

In a legal sense, LB's search warrant really has no real affect on the other case unless as stated evidence of that crime was found under the warrant for LB.

As you posted, they could seek another warrant. Or in Canada I believe, if it would have been reasonably found anyway or was such that a reasonable person would not expect it to be private(for example set outside in garbage) it could be admitted without warrant.

The thing is........regardless of how prim and proper or not the LE warrant process is, the Defense could motion to challenge and the Judge has the final say.

That's why I think DM needs a new lawyer, DP should KNOW what the ITO and Warrant for LB stated and all the other ITO/Warrants pertaining to DM.

Yet all he states is there's a story. Police haven't questioned my client concerning LB. I don't know why they are searching my client's property.

My impression of selling off all the assets is that he needs the money to fund his defence AND knows he will not be getting out of jail any time soon. I would anticipate that SB will file a civil suit after the trial. Legally DM can't hide what money he has left to prevent it being taken if he's being sued.
