OP: I thought it was an intruder in bathroom, filled with horror and fear I shot throughh the toilet door

it only dawned on me afterwards that it was reeva in the toilet. I put on my legs and broke the locked door with cricket bat

reeva died in my arms after I failed to revive her

You know, I want to believe this. It just does not make sense. Why would he automatically assume burglar when he knew she was there.

Yep. And, why would she lock the bathroom door if she knew he was asleep and if he woke up it would take a minute or so to get his legs on before he could interrupt her in the bathroom?

Alex's statement says he never saw Pistorius and Steenkamp argue or fight. He calls Pistorius a "humble, gentle, sensitive person".

Roux is now reading a statement from Justin Divaris, who has been named in the media as Pistorius's "best friend".

Pistorius is a "humble, approachable and intelligent man", Divaris's statement reads.

You wouldn't - ever .. Only if there were guests over perhaps.

Read top to bottom

David Smith‏@SmithInAfrica

- Justin: "Oscar would often tell me how much he loved Reeva and she was a fantastic person who understood him. She could be 'the one'."

- Justin: "They were both taking it slowly as they had come out of previous relationships... They really complemented each other."

- Justin: "It was apparent that Oscar and Reeva were immediately attracted to one another." Pistorius said she was "a fantastic person".

- Roux reading statement from another friend, Justin. Pistorius is a "humble, approachable and intelligent man".

- Alex: "Once you get to know Oscar, you find a humble, gentle, sensitive person."

- Alex: "I never once saw them argue or fight. They were very much in love... It was clear that Oscar really loved her."

- Alex: "Oscar had really fallen for Reeva and he wasn't afraid to express it." They were comfortable around each other and happy.

- Roux reading statement from 'Alex', a close friend. "He always used to tell me how he liked a girl." It was no holds barred.

His statement adds that with the benefit of hindsight he realises that Steenkamp went to the bathroom when he went to close balcony door.

Whoa Nelly - so he went to close the balcony door without his legs? and then he shot through the door AND THEN put them on. this whole thing falls apart. if you have an intruder in a locked door. would shoot first and then go put on your legs?

so the whole time he's in bed (with no legs on), terrified for his life after "hearing noises", and shoots several times at the bathroom door, he fails to realize she's not in the bed right beside him?

gmab!

he gets up to close the sliding door --the open sliding door-- yet he'd 1) been the victim of crime before and 2) even had death threats and 3) was "acutely aware that violent criminals break in" and 4) he had multiple weapons stashed around the bedroom and home just in case, but he slept with the sliding door OPEN??

gmab!

Sadly, if indeed this is how things happened, it would not be the first time that someone shot a loved one thinking intruder. To mention 2 cases>

But im with you..I reeally really want to believe him..Im on the fence too! Think alot of SAfricans will be having a change of heart today.

more wailing? good grief!

has any other male celeb cried this much in court?

OH YES!!!! For quite some time too!!

It doesn't make sense to me. First he said they fell asleep, then he's on the balcony, then he hears a noise and is in terror. He shoots through the door -- all without his prosthetics?

something stinks imho --

But many events have not been accounted for.

Yes, I agree. And now it appears we're getting witnesses to testify what a great man he is. I know we heard a lot more facts in the Zimmerman bail hearing -- maybe it works differently in SA. But, boy, the testimony was pretty sketchy.

"i am not disposed to violence"

how many reports are there to the contrary?

no doubt this will all come out with more than the tabloid tittle tattle we've read up til now. my surmise on samantha taylor is that she was shut up by some sort of legal threats.

Hey question... he says he propelled himself from the bed naked right? So therefore he had no legs on. Unless he sleeps with his blades (which I doubt) then what he crawls on his knees with the gun or cricket bat or both .. when does he put the legs on .. before he carries her down the stairs obviously. Wouldn't that take some time, wouldn't you just pick up a phone? OH and the drugs were for a friend?? Which one? He is so full of it.

Hasn't Nike had a bad year?

My question is does he wear the blades all the time as his legs and feet, or does he wear other legs that have shoes attached like our legs, I always thought he wore the blades for running only, but maybe I am mistaken, he does look rather tall with his blades on, only 26 and what a waste of his future.

That baffles me too. If you are in love with the person beside you, would your first instinct be to reach over to them to be sure they are okay?

Load of BS they had a fight which ended in her being shot. IMO. These supportive friends will disappear as soon as the really telling facts come out.
