Him saying he thought it was a gunshot wound wouldnt raise red flags to me, but saying he thought she committed suicide would. I would think that would be all the more reason for LE to be skeptical and dig deeper into the facts. Was she depressed? Had anyone noticed a change in her etc.
Unless I missed something it has never been confirmed that Raven did infact say anything about Janet committing suicide. As far as I know from her family he never said that.

That's a great point, SES. Does anyone know if the warrant would typically mention anyone else at the residence or if a baby would be mentioned or not since a baby couldn't really add anything to the possible interviews, etc.?

And I'm becoming more interested in the sitter if they still used one.? Did Kaiden go to the sitter's house or would the sitter come to the Abaroa's house? Was s/he familiar with the house and the routine there, (that Raven goes out on certain nights, etc.)?
They had a few different friends at church who would watch Kaiden

I couldnt tell you where the suicide story originated...just know it has been circulated.

Could have been that he was turning to the church or maybe it was more vanity, trying to look good in front of others?

I remember hearing Mark Hackings fellow church members saying they felt shocked and betrayed because he had seemed to be such a devout member.
Image is everything to some

MYJ, do you remember any of the things Raven's mom said while "promoting" the fund? Were her comments prepared, or was she just shooting from the hip, so to speak?
None of her comments were written down, but I can't say that they weren't rehearsed

Janet was a very committed member of the LDS church. Like all members of all churches they interpret rules differently and the LDS church does not condemn you if you wear sleeveless shirts after you have been endowed. I personally don't wear my temple garmets when I am exercising, playing sports, or working outside.
But to wear those things means that you probably don't have your garments on. I was just stating that it was odd to see her in that type of clothing.

Yes if she was wearing those things she wasn/t wearing her garmets but that does not mean that she was not a devoted member. She loved her religion and cherished her beliefs.

icare just posted something on the Memorial & Memories thread that said they couldn't get to the compressed file of Janet's memorial video. I went to the link that tiffany provided and it is missing for me too. Odd to think that the video is missing as well as Ravenstree.com all in one day.

Do you think that people are getting a little uncomfortable with the attention?

tiffany's link wasnt connected to Raven at all was it?

I don't think so, but since Janet and Raven's friend made it, he might have taken it down because Raven asked. Or could he have seen how many hits it's gotten? Maybe he took it down himself.

Hi Jenifred,

Doesn't it seem like too much of a coincidence that Ravenstree was dismantled today and now the video link is gone as well?

It makes me wonder why Raven would want to remove such lovely reminders of his sweet wife.

What do you think?

I think ravenstree disappeared because of the blog and the lack of Janet there. The fact that Janet is not a big part of the site is not normal. I know my kids are my world, but I wouldn't have them without my husband. I could never leave him out of anything like that.

I guess not a coincidence, just odd that they are gone now. But that's my question too. I don't know why he'd want that to happen. Maybe he's getting tired of us poking our noses into everything. Maybe he's feeling some heat. Maybe this is his way of moving on. What do you think Moxie?

You know, if I were to have pictures on an internet site, yes, you'd see me and my husband in our earlier years. However, as our kids have come along, we started squeezing ourselves out of the pictures--we don't want to see how much we've aged and increased in girth!:)

Hi Jenifred,

Your guess is as good as mine. I can only imagine that this is a hard time for him, but why focus on taking down lovely pictures of his recently murdered wife on a board that is devoted to finding out who killed her. Why not post and say hey - "good work guys - have you been working with LE? Because I've lost everything and do not want the person who did this running free while my life lies in shambles.."

I agree. All of our pictures are of the kids. But if I had a website it would be pics of them alone, not just of them and me. I think it is wierd that all the pics on Ravens site were of him and Kaiden. It sends the message that He and Kaiden are the only ones in his world.

Honestly folks...you cant expect Raven to post here anymore than you would expect Janets family to post here.

Maybe he is starting to feel some heat on this and instead of leaving them up, he's taking them down as a way to "punish" the websleuths? Would LE have them removed for a reason? If their investigation led them to these things, could they take them down?

Hi Timex,

That is a fair statement about expecting Raven to post on the boards, however, Janet's family has spoken to the media, both print and television, while we have heard nothing from Raven or his family. So at least Janet's family has spoken out, mainly to keep Janet's memory alive, and to keep the public aware that a healthy, beautiful 25 year old mother was brutally murdered in what police say is not a random act.

Remember, a family member reached out to mr. ag because of a post-er here.
