Oh, I thought they were going to play the call with the screams on it to let the jury decide who it was.

I thought they played it during opening arguments. my bad, if not.

THANK YOU, so there was some time. In that time GZ could have then switch positions or may have had the upper hand. Just sayin :twocents:

Doubtful. There were other witnesses that saw Martin on top, as well. There doesn't seem to be a point where Zimmerman had the upper hand on anything.

Oh yes, that will be played. sorry. :)

We do not know for a fact that GZ had a broken nose!! He never had his nose x-rayed to see if it was actually broken. Repeating it over and over again doesn't make it true.

The crime scene photo showed TM face down. If he was on top and GZ shot him, he would have fallen face down and GZ could get out from under him. If GZ were on top and fired, TM would be on his back. Am I making sense or just babbling? Those photos really shook me up in a way I didn't expect.
Not something one would want to think about in any great detail, it's also possible that Martin may have rolled onto his stomach of his own will at some point. It all depends on whether the ME says the shot was immediately fatal or not.

He had a gun on him but he was being pummeled.

Think about it. He knows the police are coming. They could be on the grounds now. It is pitch dark as you can see in the pictures.. He is hoping someone will come save him and my bet is that he DOES NOT WANT TO SHOOT ANYONE!!!

He is hoping someone will come and when no one does he then shoots to save his life.

The biggest mistake he made was getting out of his truck in the first place. He had no reason to do so. I have been followed before, it's terrifying, based on my instincts, I would be ready to fight the person following me as well.

I don't think GZ wanted to kill anyone either and I think he regrets his choices, but he escalated a volatile situation that he created. He is still to blame in my eyes.

This is exactly how GZ says it happened.

Do you believe a licensed doctor is not competent enough to diagnose a broken nose?

It is so nice to not to have to listen to endless blabber. These lawyers seem to be concise in the questioning and do not repeat the same question multiple times.

Are they going to release the photos to the public?

They just released them to the public. They will be all over the internet. Pretty sad day for the family. I can't imagine how Trayvon's parents feel.

Nope, makes sense ;)

If those screams were GZ's, they would not have ended at the exact moment of the shot. Common sense tells me that if it were GZ, he would have been yelling for someone to help him after the shot..saying something, anything! He did not. Silence. Those screams were Trayvon's and were silenced because he was dead. JMO

I agree with you - had I shot someone even in self defense I'd be yelling for help, probably too frazzled to call 911 myself I'd probably scream for help.

I agree, but I do not feel that Zimmerman deserved to potentially die for his mistake.

It was dark and . raining and the area was poorly lit when GZ went after TM. Visibility was very poor.....See chart for sunset on that date:
http://www.sunrisesunset.com/calend...&back=Search&want_mphase=1&want_info=1&wadj=1

Therefore, how did GZ arrive at the conclusion that TM was " checking him out?"
Was GZ checked for drugs and alcohol consumption immediately that evening? Does he have a history of mental issues? I read he has a history of violence.

That is one I have been wondering myself.
Has GZ had any types of evaluations done?

This is correct.

http://www.cnn.com/2012/06/21/justice/florida-teen-shooting

"I started screaming for help. I couldn't see. I couldn't breathe," he said.

"He grabbed my head and started hitting it into the sidewalk," he said. "When he started doing that, I slid into the grass to try to get out from under him. ... I'm still yelling for help."

"When I slid, my jacket and my shirt came up. ... I felt his hand go down my side, and I thought he was going for my firearm, so I grabbed it immediately, and as he banged my head again, I just pulled out my firearm and shot him."[/B

The reinactment video is also on Youtube just in case anybody wanted to watch.

Exactly.

So how does someone on top of you, straddling you, get shot point blank with the bullet entering straight. No angle, according to reports and opening statements.

That's really an impossible shot. I have tried to manipulate myself many different wants (with my hand and arm) and cannot see it.

Especially when I am struggling and terrified I am going to die. Your frame of mind to aim isn't exactly steady.

I saw about 5 minutes of the trial on HLN yesterday, highlites, and it disgusts me how the lawyers are running the trial. This is not about knock-knock jokes or vulgar language. It is about a boys life. And even if GZ gets off, his life is basically over.
THe judge should be able to tell them , 'cut out the dramatic acts, just tell the story".
If I was GZ lawyer, (I'm no lawyer) I would put him on the stand, let him tell how many robberies there had been, how many of the perps had never been caught, and how he was one of many trying to protect his community. I would even let him cry when he told how bad he felt about shooting a 17 yr old boy. I'm sure George didn't expect TM to turn on him, but TM probably didnt' expect someone to be pursuing him.
I swore I wouldn't follow this case. I shouldn't even be on here reading about it.

He was 28. I always though it was GZ sceaming for help. if you compare his speaking voice when he's talking to the voice of the person screaming, it matches.
100% agree.

e.g...My daughter is a lifeguard at a local waterpark. She was assigned to the newest scariest fastest slide called "the moccasin" which is an enclosed tube where you are basically sliding and twisting down in darkness. She said as one guest was coming down she heard blood-curdling high pitched screams and thought this poor lady is going to have a heart attack! When the guest plunged out of the tube into the pool...my daughter and the other guards had to chuckle. The guest was a HUGE big burly older man! :floorlaugh:

When the dr. testifies to a broken nose and the other injuries, I will believe it.

Have you seen someone straddling someone else in a fight? They're not sitting up, with their back straight. They're usually bent forward to some extent. I don't find this implausible at all.
