I assume the 15 years is a total for all the charges, so if he was acquitted of some then the sentence would be lighter.

It's the closing argument.After the fifteen yrs they also ask for preventative detention, so in effect they wish him off the streets, which is no bad thing, if and it's a big if he's found guilty on the four charges.

My guess would be the young girl (14yr old) at the farmhouse. She was physically and orally abused but not raped on tape IIRC, according to the accounts of HeB and MS.

Crass & unsettling as it is - I am glad that the prosecution mentioned some of the things CB wrote. That being public - could help save the wellbeing of somebody in the future.Bit more detail in the mail

Agree. That treatment has been played into minds & created a perception of the witnesses. Very common play from a defence. Even though he has expressed sympathy for the McVann’s I expect that FF will float the typical McCann lines during the MM trial.

15 years seems awfully low if convicted on all 4 charges. I wouldn't expect more than a year or so for each of the 2 child SA cases, but the viciousness of the two rapes should each warrant at least the (7yr) term he's already serving for DM's rape.

The messages were considered to be so graphic by Dr Cr, a forensic psychiatrist, that they could not be referred to in court.
They were revealed by Ms L on Wednesday, who told the court that CB allegedly fantasised about kidnapping and raping a 25-year-old mother and her young daughter.
According to Ms L, CB said to the the child victim: “Are you afraid? Good. Because I am going to really hurt you.”

“It is my conviction that the chamber will not seriously interest itself in my opinion because it has already expressed that it is set on an acquittal for the accused,” the prosecutor told the court.
She accused the judge of showing so much “aggression” when interviewing a police witness that after a five-hour interview, he apparently did not know what he was saying and “would have confessed to killing his own grandmother”.
CB’s trial had been expected to finish in December but could not be over in a matter of days, as the judge revealed she could announce her verdict next Tuesday.

I’m my view. The things he wrote & the things that happened to Hazel are too similar to be another coincidence. Knowing that the BKA have that evidence makes it more obvious imo.
CB may have a dirty jacket, a poorly leg, a cold shower & bad cheese sandwich but he isn’t a haggard target of a witch hunt. He’s an extremely dangerous man, his criminal history & now his writings reflect this. The psychiatrist also noted some of CB’s unsettling behaviour whilst in custody.

I think the prosecutor is beginning to lay the foundations for their appeal. I think the plea is groundwork for this. IMO the judge made her mind up well before all of the proceedings had been heard. Knowing some of what the prosecution have, I don’t see them dropping this any time soon. It’ll delay the MM arrest imo

Yes - it’s terrifying. Even large parts of the Skype chat are redacted.
I know nothing about serial offending sexual sadists. But if it happened to be yet another coincidence & it was another serial sexual predator operating in the same area at the same time, I’d say the odds of that happening would be in the hundreds of billions to one.
