NOT GUILTY Germany/Portugal - Christian Brueckner, 27 @ time of 1st crime (2004), charged with sexual assault crimes, Praia de Rocha, Portugal. #6

Statistically true, however it is a fact that stranger abductions happen. That’s why they garner interest, because they’re rare.

If my flat earth theory stemmed from an alt-theorist claiming there was a phantom space station on the moon, flip-flop noises & that secret government forces were involved, I’d be contradicting the credibility I think my theory has because of the illogical reasons & conclusions I’ve come to.

Same applies in the MM case.
🤦‍♂️ I think you need new material.

So you are saying they are lying about it to become world famous and that then the British police being over there at the dam helping and all the funding thats gone into it is all for this lie.>
You see how silly that seems.... I have researched the MM case since it first happened I doubt there is anything anyone can say to swing me towards any of those many Parent theories... The correct theory was the Dam right from the word go.
PJ was tremendously incompetent, but how to name them in the surreal case that had been the parents. Those parents who knew nothing about Praia da Luz and the surrounding area!
In a matter of days they would have managed to kill their daughter and hide the body without leaving a trace! What ineptitude would have been...another slap in the face of PJ?!
The "problem" here for PJ was they were not illiterate (vs. JC's case).

In 2007 it was already illogical and surreal that narrative, in 2025, I don't even know how to classify this narrative anymore...

How was MM removed by a stranger from 5a? no sign of forced entry despite early assertions there was, no forensics that links a stranger to 5a, the whole at the moment is far greater than it's sum of parts, this imo is a major sticking point for a stranger abduction.

A woman is not going to forget who raped her for hours especially looking him in the eyes the whole time through the trial... At the end of the day it should have been demanded in court that they are provided with the answer does/did he have a scar or not but the judge was too focused on FF narrative poor CB hes been all over the papers... Neither would a kid forget a face...as for the drives luckily there is still the one from the Kiosk they reckon thats the one with the evidence however the Germans have some twisted law about evidence can only be used once... That and cannot use the box factory drives because it was an improper search is pathetic.... Talk about giving Criminals ways of dodging laws... So its ok he had drives with 1000s of kids being abused and tortured on them because he wasn't asked permission can we search your land who cares... Yeah I know a law is a law ...I just cant help wondering what kind of people make these laws
The alleged scar.HaB is quoted as saying she doesn't know what the mark was.

This was disputed by the prosecutor and prompted Judge Uta Engermann to ask Brückner to approach the bench so she could inspect his eyes.

Subsequently she asked all lawyers to inspect photographs of the accused’s leg and thigh area, where Ms Behan claimed she saw a mark of some kind.

In his cross-examination, Mr Fülscher highlighted how, in various witness statements, Ms Behan described the mark variously as a scar, tattoo, birthmark or a clump of material.

“I didn’t know what this marking was, I cannot recall word for word what I said,” said Ms Behan.

Thanks, I’ve not heard that before. Do you think he considers HeB’s statement evidence of an abduction?
As in the “she didn’t scream “ ? Partly but I doubt solely, we’ll hopefully know one day !

No need for forced entry , the patio door was unlocked . The front door next to the open window can be opened from the inside . IMO he came in via the patio door , opened the window to check his exit was clear or possibly to hide the smell of ether . The crime scene was not properly sealed off and multiple people went through it and given what we know how well the PJ handled the HaB case not surprising.

CB was a prolific burglar as well on the Algarve , yet he was never caught . In terms of forensics CB was well aware and likely was wearing gloves and something on his head. We know he was forensically aware as he wore condoms in the attacks on HaB and DM . He was also prepared to stay in jail rather than risk losing his stash at the Yellow House , that backfired when he got turned over , he even wrote to his girlfriend asking her to clear the place of video and camera equipment. He then tried to bury a large haul of csa under the presumption no one would dig further but he was prepared to , such was its value to him .

People who are quick to judge HeB should remember it was a report of an alleged viewed video of an elderly woman being assaulted which led to the BKA asking the PJ for any cold cases. This then led to the DM case being unearthed and CB being convicted .

I think she’s just reflecting back on what she told the PJ 20 years previously.
In her original statement she said it could have been any of the 4 but she saw something . We now know she was spot on . She also confirmed his nationality, eye colour and general description and that he was photographed in the same Praia da Rocha apartment block weeks earlier. He was also convicted of a similar assault 1 year later . HaB case was quickly shelved by the PJ.

Subject to the outcome of the appeal, these cases are done and dusted.

One can only wait and see what CB is charged with next. Another bad-mouthing of a prison officer?

Desparate stuff if that's all they can come up with.

It is not desperate stuff! It’s a law here in Germany to not insult prison workers. CB knows that law but decided to be nasty, his own fault.
BTW these are totally different prosecutions ( Lehrte and Oldenburg) and every other prisoner would be charged for insults, not just CB

None the less she's quoted as saying it, some posters ignore what happened in court, HaB for one reason or another could not confirm a scar.

At least you're prepared to offer a theory on how you think MM was removed. How can a crime scene be secured when before you even get there a plethora of friends had entered after the alleged abduction.

Yes - Hazel commented on his caution not to leave a trace, he left very little forensic traces at Diana’s villa too.

Perhaps it’s logical to think simply. An intruder was accessing OC apartments in the weeks before 3/5 & the MO in 5a was identical - window & shutter open.

Any indications of a prolific burglar with an obsession with abducting little blond girls, being in the area?

From a comfortable armchair 18 years later, it would be very irrational for me to try to evaluate people in extreme distress during a situation that thankfully none of us have ever experienced.

Same logic can be applied in defence of the Portuguese police - yes it’s a schoolboy error to allow animals into a scene before forensics - but they were in a situation where they had to investigate a crime far more clinically than what they were capable of. Hindsight is a very easy way to come to the wrong conclusion.

I’m going to make a really whacky suggestion & you may think that I’m 20 pints in & just escaped from a mental asylum. Apologies in advance…

But I think a person with a scar on their thigh has remarkable similarities to a person with a scar on their thigh.

Well put , I dread to think what I would have been like, probably going through the kitchen drawers, it must of been horrific. Your mind must be shot to pieces as the reality sits in.The howl from KM must have been absolutely chilling ,but no doubt this was staged and part of the act.

Well as it was through some tights it would have been hard to tell whether it was a birthmark or whatever...The fact is she saw it ...talked about it... Got fobbed off with no investigation of the Portuguese police... Talked about it again said she recognised his eyes .. turned out in the recent photos yes he does have a mark on his skin where she said..

I dont give a toss what this Uta says with her it was all a game of oh 20 years ago you described it like this ....or thats not the word you used 20 years ago... A pathetic system where the human gene of knowing is getting thrown out the window for a robotic what I have in paper in front of me...sorry on a computer.. its not just the law .. many workplaces are the same the human touch is getting 🤬🤬🤬🤬 on.

The toilet is dirty and needs cleaning 😉 yes but your not supposed to do it for another half hour..
Pathetic excuse for a judge who would happily let a known pedophile who has just been described by a specialist to be in the top tier of dangerous men alive walk... Why oh because someone described something a little differently than they did 20 years ago and the computer says no... Pathetic

Yes, no sympathy for him with that. Not sure why anyone would regard it as exceptional and/or as something coming from a biased place? He broke a German law and has been charged and fined accordingly. I couldn't care less what happens to him from this point forward.

I've only ever been here for the MM case. This trial promised so much and delivered so little and is now so done and dusted with no resolution that I can't even see the point of this thread anymore.

I've said this numerous times before that I believed that this was last chance saloon for MM. And it is.

And so I'm out.

Quite there's nothing new, and unlikely to be imo, the mystery will remain.

You’re right. I do hope the Germans share what they have though.
