Germany - Truck crashes into Christmas market in Berlin, 9 dead, 19 Dec 2016

 • #321
German Chancellor Angela Merkel in September tried to push through a plan that would allow refugees to be trained and hired as lorry drivers – just months before a lorry was used by a suspected asylum-seeker to mow down civilians during Monday’s Berlin terror attack.

http://www.foxnews.com/world/2016/12/22/merkel-wanted-refugees-to-be-lorry-drivers.html

Merkel encouraged companies to hire refugees – even if they hadn’t yet been granted asylum – as drivers and also wanted to make it cheaper for migrants to trade in their foreign driver’s license for a German one, The Daily Express reported.

Oh dear, you are clear-headed!

I am still trying to adjust to the news.

Why Milan? Why the dark of the night? Why no papers? Why everything?

Angela Merkel admitted 15 million refugees to Germany. Only 34.000 of them are actually working in some kind of job.

She has been called "the second worst chanellor of Germany" for some very good reasons.

He was walking through Milan at 3 o'clock in the morning. The Police ask to see his papers. Instead he pulls a gun. Shoots one policeman and the other one shoots and kills HIM.
The gun was the same gun used in the murder of the Polish driver.

IMHO doesn't quite sound like a glorious exit towards them Virgins in Paradise.

Clumsy is the word that pops to mind. Or lost. Like he had no real place to go, or accomplices picking him up.

Suspect in Berlin Christmas market attack shot dead in Milan

The news comes as German police said they had thwarted a new terror attack planned against a shopping mall and arrested two brothers from Kosovo, as Germany and Europe are on high alert for the holidays.

Authorities detained the brothers, aged 28 and 31, after receiving an intelligence tip-off, according to North Rhine Westphalia police. Security at the Centro Mall in the western German city of Oberhausen has been beefed up.

Timeline of Antonello Guerrera @antoguerrera, journalist of La Repubblica

1. Last night, 3 am, primo maggio square, Sesto San Giovanni, Milan, Italy. Some gunshots are heard. Somebody calls the police

2. Police get to the spot and find a Maghreb man. He is alone, walking. He is asked by police to show ID documents

3. But he's very nervous. After a short while he takes a gun from his bag and starts shooting at the police

4. Italy police immediately reacts, shootout ongoing. A bobby injured, the North-African man killed.

5. Italy police immediately understands the man is not the average criminal guy. They just say he was "wanted"

6. But after looking at this face and fingerprints matching, here it is: the man killed in Milan is Anis Amri, the Berlin suspect.

7. But how he got to Italy? Police has found a train ticket in his bag. The Berlin suspect came to Milan via France

8. This will surely trigger a lot of critics to Schengen system and EU antiterrorism, as Anis Amri has crossed at least 2 country borders

9. Anyway, before being killed, Anis Amri reportedly said, or better shouted, just one thing: "Allah Akbar"

11. And you know what? Anis Amri was killed in Milan Sesto San Giovanni neighbourhood, nest of many Red Brigades leftist terrorists in 70-80s

How did he get into Italy??

I suspect he had help, probably from someone in the mosque, or who ever he was waiting for while standing outside the mosque.

He didn't have a cell phone on him, he did have a couple 100 euro's.

Its great this angle is over - dont get me wrong -- seems like I am being nitpicky --- just sharing what stuff hits .....

Italian police have acknowledged that they had no idea it was him - it was a random stop.

They asked for his ID because he looked like the Berlin terror suspect

Police had received a tip-off that Amri was in Milan before he turned up at a train station in Milan

That is not at all what the head dude stated. He stated they thought him being at a closed station at 3 in the morning is the reason for the interaction.

There are still many issues, how the world's most wanted managed to cross three borders. with no documents on him whatsoever

SKY news.

Earlier today police arrested two men at the mosque where Europe's most wanted man was allegedly seen just eight hours after driving a 25-ton lorry into a crowd at a Christmas market.

There saying these were after the attack - the dates are not right? Ya wanna make some dramatic pics at least remove the dates! Jeezzz am I missing something?

Amri was captured on CCTV outside the place of worship in the city's Moabit neighbourhood just eight hours after the Christmas market massacre

he fled Italy via the Alps for Germany, meaning he probably went via Milan.

Do not really get this angle of the story (same with guy who ran over people with car and got out with knife)- with cops being hailed as heroes.

Trainee policeman Luca Scatà is just a few months into the job yet still managed to chase down and shoot dead Europe's most wanted man Anis Amri, 24.

In any vocation, once trained , and certified , one is expected to do what they are trained for and being paid to do.

I have never seen stories like :

"Captain of flight 658, with just 256 hours in the left seat , hailed as a hero - he landed his plane "

"Hero Cosmetologist cuts hair correctly"
