There are some not deceased and that are retired (or not) that still live a life of crime due to their circumstances. Mind you, I am not pigeon-holing anyone, and I am not saying ALL, but there are still some in the system whereas in and out of jail is like a revolving door.

The 59-year-old Heuermann claims to have a "continued financial interest" in those guns and has "requested that the firearms be returned to him," in a request the district attorney opposes, according to Opisso.

Wasn't it the Happy Face Killer's daughter who helped the Heuermann family set up the GoFundMe account and worked with them during the very early days after RH was arrested. I can see a thank you note or some sort of acknowledgement from RH to the Happy Face Killer or perhaps the first contact went the other way as HFK's daughter did go into Massapequa Park. HFK said he told RH what he tells all the others when they're arrested. So, maybe as a seasoned member of the SK gang, he writes others arrested and gives them the "benefit" of his experience.
