Moo but this is a very anti-climactic ending to a case that I thought would be a mystery forever. I am so glad the families of these beautiful women know this murderer will be behind bars for the rest of his life.
yes....that's the oneIs this the woman who had the boyfriend cop, picked Kren up and went to Rex's home? Im trying to remember. She said they went in the the house and met Heuermann and his wife. She said Karen went downstairs while the others stayed upstairs. When the women and the cop left, she said they saw Karen run outside naked near the garage. I think that's the one...isn't it??
Thats probably why RH has Karen put in with the other victims: bc AE saw Karen in their home ........yes laughing ? disgraceful but must be a family thing........disrespectfulFrom the MSN article. MSN
Heuermann was not charged with Vergata’s murder on Wednesday, instead adding her to his allocution as the eighth victim. The DA stated Vergata’s murder is covered by his admission and guilty plea to the seven other murders.
“There will be no further prosecutions for these eight victims,” said Heuermann’s attorney Mike Brown.
Because Karen Vergata was lumped in with the others, it looks like he can't be prosecuted for anything else related to her. I wonder if he wanted her included because he knew there was a witness (Lorraine) who could pinpoint KV being at his home, and that the wife knew about it. I think he's trying to hush it up so the wife doesn't get implicated further. MOO
Also, what are these two smiling and laughing about! Disgusting conduct.

The day after RH was arrested, Friday July 14, 2023 he appeared before the judge (Massei?) and he was appointed Michael Brown.

I quite suspect that at the minimum, VH will be dropped from this suit by the Courts. Given she was aged 13 and under for the duration of RHs known-active timeline, it's pretty obvious that tree will not bear any fruit. Now that he plead guilty today, the civil wrongful death lawsuit that was filed by Benjamin Torres will now proceed through the discovery phase.
With this lawsuit they will learn or try to learn the full truth surrounding what happened to VM. Also to find who all is responsible that have done harm to Benjamin from the Heuermann family.
RH, AH and VH will be required to answer the lawsuit.

I agree! The question about family members of any SK is this IMO. Has there ever been a case in history where a family member admitted to knowing anything about the SK's hidden lives? How would we know if not for those who try to unravel what actually occurred? I'd like to see behaviorial scientists study the psychology of the family members to dig deeper. MOOHUGE DISAPPOINTMENT...
A victory for the families, but there's still a lot to learn here: connections between RH and other people like JB, especially after a witness claims to have been in the same room with them, the other witness from Vergata who would link his wife to the incident, and the connection to the family (honor to JR).
I'm sorry for those who don't agree, but the family knew something here, whether you want to see it written down or not.
There's also the question of the position of Costilla's body, which was supposedly simulating Bitrolff's killings.
And now, what do we want to do with him?
Not to mention that knowing details is useful for future investigations or simple studies, even here,
whether you want to know them or not, those who don't want to move on...
This plea bargain was like a sandwich with butter for him!
I hope someone does something that is just an investigative journalist because the information needs to get out..
it's totally disrespectful to see him simply say strangled and thrown away smiling....
no my dear there is much more...
and if it's enough for justice it's not enough for many of us!
Rodney Harrison, former Commissioner who led the taskforce, said yesterday he still has questions about family members and possible involvement or knowledge. He also said this isn't over, the investigation will continue that he hopes will answer the questions.HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT...

"Time will tell." According to Rodney HarrisonRodney Harrison, former Commissioner who led the taskforce, said yesterday he still has questions about family members and possible involvement or knowledge. He also said this isn't over, the investigation will continue that he hopes will answer the questions.
"God willing, we'll find out down the road."
If Mr. Harrison can have questions, I will allow myself to wonder as well.

Here’s the gross reason Gilgo Beach serial killer Rex Heuermann has been hobbling on crutches
“He’s a big fat man. It’s a foot issue. It’s an offset [of his weight],” one source said.nypost.com
New York post claims the crutches are related to an issue in his foot caused by weight gain.

He reminds me of those chickens and hens you see in factory farms that are so pumped up with hormones with no exercise to the extent they can no longer stand on their own two feet due to the weight of their fat bodies. Repulsive man in every way he is.Somehow I thought prisoners got served 3 square meals and not enough food to fatten up a glutton.
I believe someone's keeping plenty of money on his books (commissary) which is stocked full of super processed, sugar loaded junk. Perhaps he'll gorge eat his way to a heart attack, sorry...not sorry.Somehow I thought prisoners got served 3 square meals and not enough food to fatten up a glutton.
