@ Britskate
quoted....Jumping off your post, norest...
When I was 16 years old I had a friend who went missing. She was cutting class to come meet me and several friends at another high school (we attended different schools). When she failed to show up none of us assumed the worst. Initially we believed she changed her mind or met up with other friends. When she didn't return home and her mother reported her missing we assumed she'd run away. There was a rational explanation for everything because the irrational never entered the realm of possibility.
My friend was found early the next morning, unconscious, and was rushed to hospital where she passed away a couple of days later. She'd been raped and beaten with a brick by two classmates who'd skipped school and confronted her as she made her way through a shortcut to come meet us. My point though is that most people don't automatically assume the worst even when things don't seem quite right. In hindsight it was very easy to put pieces together but in the midst of it your mind just doesn't move straight to worst case scenarios. (Of course now mine might after following true crime cases for a couple of decades.) FWIW

ETA: Both men, teenagers at the time of the crime, had their sentences upheld on appeal. They were both sentenced to LWOP in case anyone was wondering.

OMG!! I had no idea when i clicked on the link that it would bring me to a crime story from my hometown occurring when i was just 10 years old. My heart goes out to you and her loved ones. I vaguely remember hearing about this from our parents because we as kids would go swimming indoors right there and would walk there too. So you can only imagine how freaked our parents were on not letting us venture on our own anymore. Your friend did not deserve this and i'm glad the 2 evils received LWOP.

Ok, restarted camera drop video, he drops it when he takes it outta the bag? I didnt see that twice now. never left photo extractor dudes hand. Who drops it? When? After cross? On redirect? Direct? Help me out here

He takes it out of the bag, walks back and drops it off camera, but you can hear it. I started the link when he is asking about the 45 secs between the photos.

Here this is after he already got the camera and was walking back (off video).

Just an FYI, when I post a link re: court footage, it will usually be to the direct spot I am speaking of, unless I state otherwise.

It is in the DA's hand as he walks away and then you hear it hit the floor. I didn't actually see it drop. BTW, I thought it was a stupid thing for the DA to do.

I know a lot of peeps think he's fantastic, but I'm not seeing it. Up close or at a distance. He's got a case he can't lose so pfft on his "amazingness." And there's no reason to be an a*hole. In person, he's unlikeable -- to me, anyway.

OMG what a piece of work. She was so upset she was shaking after reading Travis' texts? Im not even doubting this actually happened, shaking in jealously, but WTF how much more WOE is me can she be to her new guy? Its so obvious. Gross. She has a "please protect me, I'll wear my hair in braids like a little girl" mode. Can't believe the new guy didn't end chat permanently following this conversation.

You made that very clear yesterday as well as the way you would defend her if you were her lawyer...

Does anyone know Juan Martinez's bio? Where is he from? Where did he go to school?

Went to school at ASU.
Here's a link with a little more info.

http://www.azbar.org/Public

The link didn't work, so I posted a new one. In the search field I typed Juan Martinez.
On page 2 his name comes up, click on that and there is a bit of info about him.

In thinking Sony should steal Timex's old slogan. That camera took a licken and still keep ticking! It survived a fall, blood bath, complete wash cycle ....

Off topic, but how do you like Tapatalk, Linda? I just downloaded it and I'm having trouble getting used to it.

It's great when you get used to it. You have to keep going back to the participated thread lists & pull down to reload, sometimes, it messes up and I lose my spot.

Okay I caught another delicious detail on that pant leg in the pic where she is either dragging him or slitting his throat or whatever she is doing to him there. I can see part of the zipper tab on the far left side, which is on the back of the pant leg of that track suit. Remember in her police interview with Flores she admitted to owning (2) pairs of pants with a stripe up the side and "a zipper in the back."

The "zipper up the back" means back of each pant leg and there it is, partially visible on the pic they showed today in court. If you watch the video of this afternoon's testimony (on YouTube and posted a page or 2 before this one), at the time of 45:17 you can see the picture and you can see the zipper tab.

ETA: here is the pic

I saw that picture on one of the HLN shows tonight and the pants, stripe and zipper are clear as day on a tv screen
