Who knows. So many rumors about him with all kinds of people before and on the side - maybe none of it is true, maybe it all is? The facts that we do know and can verify by his co-workers and friends, was that he started dating C in 2016, when she was 14 and he was 27 and then he confessed to brutally murdering her for aprox 6 minutes. So glad this is behind bars and hope he stays there long enough to protect other potential victims.

In defence of B, maybe B played the field and only dated C when she was 16 and did not have a sexual relationship with her then. Maybe their sexual relationship began just before she became pregnant and then he was caught so felt obliged to marry her then.

He has denied it was premeditated murder but LE wants to prove it was. Therefore IMO there will have to be a trial.

Strangulation as the cause of death is premeditated murder as it takes up to 6 minutes to cause death and at any time during the duration, he could have stopped.

I must say that from what we know about "sweet" Caroline, I would not have predicted that she would marry without having both parents there or that she would not tell her parents she was going to Portugal with B. Her parents just thought she was going on a holiday.

All I can predict from that is that they did not wish to tell all parents that C was pregnant in case they would have advised her to have an abortion, told C to get a career first and earn some money and/or told her she was too young to get married.

As CC moved to live with B as soon as they married, perhaps C wanted to keep her pregnancy secret from all parents so she avoided seeing B's parents once her pregnancy became visible. She could do that with her own parents until her mother visited her. Did C's mother ever visit her in Athens before she gave birth?
Probably her mother got to know about the pregnancy and marriage some time later.

Perhaps B's parents did not know about it until she actually had the baby. IIRC B's parents visited C in hospital once to see the baby and that was it. Perhaps they were shocked and angry to hear that they were not only married in secret but had also been hiding the fact that they had been expecting a baby. So perhaps the rift between C and B's parents was on both sides.

I dont think the parents of both of them would ever propose an abortion.

They are devout Christians, Orthodox to be exact.
But I agree that the elopment to Portugal was to avoid intrference from both disapproving sets of parents.
When L was born C cut any relations with B's parents.
B's mother was very unhappy, she loved her granddaughter.
And she and her husband proved to be caring grandparents.
