GUILTY Greece - Caroline Crouch, 20, British, tortured and murdered, Athens, 11 May 2021 *Appeal filed 2023* #5

Was the friend lying?
I have no idea.
But it is disgusting for me to talk about private things of others (called friends) on national tv.
Only Police should be informed.
Remember - the Greeks are artists, they love drama.

...b/c we all know B's claims are credible.

Dotta, you keep on with perfecting your Eng skills here, don't let blood bully you! Say, 'this is how you support me bettering myself!?!?'
Nobody can bully a Taurus - which I am :) :)
As for B - in this case I believe his lawyer.
The story of his *parallel relationship* is soooo outlandish that I roll my eyes and shake my head (or vice versa)
Im taking a pinch of salt now and putting it into my fav Greek salad. Yummy:)

Who knows. So many rumors about him with all kinds of people before and on the side - maybe none of it is true, maybe it all is? The facts that we do know and can verify by his co-workers and friends, was that he started dating C in 2016, when she was 14 and he was 27 and then he confessed to brutally murdering her for aprox 6 minutes. So glad this 🤬🤬🤬 is behind bars and hope he stays there long enough to protect other potential victims.

Exactly!
Lets stick to facts and not myths!
By the way, I still remember trying to memorize all the characters from Greek Mythology during literature lessons at school. My teacher was very strict.

For Estelle :)
Guess what!
Only yesterday I found another version of 'thank you' in Polish Press
EUCHARISTO :)
It is by far my favourite one - the nearest to the origins.

  • #291
The greek word for thank you is spelled ευχαριστώ

the "ευ" is pronounced "ef"

the "χ" is pronounced like 'ch' made in the throat rather than on the tongue, so the c is hardly perceptible, but it's more than an 'h'.

So...
Eucharisto in writing
Efharisto in speaking
Now everybody is happy!
As they say: A Wolf is fed and a Sheep is alive haha

In defence of B, maybe B played the field and only dated C when she was 16 and did not have a sexual relationship with her then. Maybe their sexual relationship began just before she became pregnant and then he was caught so felt obliged to marry her then.

And I would like to know what was the rift between C and his family.
So severe that she didnt want them to meet the baby.

Was it only about the money? I somehow doubt it.

And why both families werent invited to the wedding?
So...
B pled guilty.
Does it mean there will be no trial? (Like in Wayne C case)

Only day or two of sentencing?
I have no knowledge of Greek legal system.

But what has B pleaded guilty to?

He has denied it was premeditated murder but LE wants to prove it was. Therefore IMO there will have to be a trial.

Strangulation as the cause of death is premeditated murder as it takes up to 6 minutes to cause death and at any time during the duration, he could have stopped.

Yes, you are right.

I must say that from what we know about "sweet" Caroline, I would not have predicted that she would marry without having both parents there or that she would not tell her parents she was going to Portugal with B. Her parents just thought she was going on a holiday.

All I can predict from that is that they did not wish to tell all parents that C was pregnant in case they would have advised her to have an abortion, told C to get a career first and earn some money and/or told her she was too young to get married.

Is abortion legal in Greece?

Abortion in Greece has been fully legalized since 1986, when law 1609/1986 was passed effective from 3 July 1986. Abortions can be performed on-demand in hospitals for women whose pregnancies have not exceeded 12 weeks.

As CC moved to live with B as soon as they married, perhaps C wanted to keep her pregnancy secret from all parents so she avoided seeing B's parents once her pregnancy became visible. She could do that with her own parents until her mother visited her. Did C's mother ever visit her in Athens before she gave birth?
Probably her mother got to know about the pregnancy and marriage some time later.

Perhaps B's parents did not know about it until she actually had the baby. IIRC B's parents visited C in hospital once to see the baby and that was it. Perhaps they were shocked and angry to hear that they were not only married in secret but had also been hiding the fact that they had been expecting a baby. So perhaps the rift between C and B's parents was on both sides.

I dont think the parents of both of them would ever propose an abortion.
No way!
They are devout Christians, Orthodox to be exact.
But I agree that the elopment to Portugal was to avoid intrference from both disapproving sets of parents.
When L was born C cut any relations with B's parents.
B's mother was very unhappy, she loved her granddaughter.
And she and her husband proved to be caring grandparents.
Well, sth was wrong but it is Caroline's secret.
