From your link: According to the report, Caroline's mother has changed her attitude towards Babis Anagnostopoulos's parents after the baptism of little Lydia.

Limits on visits
Susanna seems to put limits on little Lydia's visits and contacts with Babis Anagnostopoulos's parents and now applies what the judge has decided.

Babis Anagnostopoulos' father, who according to information, is not at all psychologically well, as soon as he saw the change in the behavior of Caroline's mother, decided to leave the island.

At the same time, speaking to "Breakfast", a friend of Caroline's family, and referring to Babis Anagnostopoulos about the past, spoke of a "problem child" while revealing that at the age of 12-13 he had left home.

Interesting, no?

Well, I guess any parent whose child turned out to be a murderer, might become "psychologically unwell".

Interesting, no?

Problem child: I'm shocked to hear that B left home so young at age 12-13. How did he support himself? Did he still go to school? Maybe that is the reason for not inviting them to the wedding and seeing the baby often.

B's father: I have often wondered about B's father. He is probably depressed. So B's Mum is on the island and Father is in Athens.

Well, I guess troubled childhood.
B might have run away, but surely returned. Minors - till 18 - are the responsibility of parents.
This article is vague - "psychologically unwell" - but when?
Now or in the past?
I always say that our personality is formed during childhood, from the moment we are born.

PREMEDITATED MURDER BY SUFFOCATION, ANIMAL ABUSE, FALSE ACCUSATION, FALSE TESTIMONY, REMOVAL OF PARENTAL RESPONSIBILITY

With a multi-page proposal, the prosecutor George Noulis requests the referral to trial of Babis Anagnostopoulos on the charge of premeditated murder, in a calm mental state, but also of animal abuse to the degree of a felony. In addition, he asks to be tried for false accusation, because he made other people suspicious of his actions, but also for continuous false testimony.

Prosecutor Giorgos Noulis, in 24 pages, describes the murder of Glykon Nero and according to information, states that the crime was committed in a calm state of mind.

"The five-minute duration of the suffocating drowning of the victim, the pre-arranged method of shutting down the security camera of the victim, the surprise of the unsuspecting victim, its directing against the robbery and the premeditated attempt to deceive the perpetrators" the prosecutor concluded that Babis Anagnostopoulos was in a calm state of mind.

In addition, the prosecutor states that the crime was premeditated.

"The sobriety in the preliminary design of the project can be deduced from the fact that he took care to make the camera useless so that there is no visual evidence against him. He plotted and presented a false scenario and in order to support this whole plan, he tied himself up and tied up the victim, while he attempted misleading phone calls by calling 1000 and 180, to show that he failed because he was tied up ".

The prosecutor characteristically noted: "The victim was only 20 years old, while he was 13 years older and should have been her protector, he had no suspension for his act even though it was the mother of his child, while at the same time he did not there was a reason for his act, which he manifested when the victim was unsuspecting and unsuspecting, as she was already asleep for two and a half hours ".

Caroline's mother's caretaker Lydia

By court order, Lydia's custody was finally assigned to Caroline's mother. Specifically, with the decision 1918/21 it was ordered:
  • The removal of parental responsibility from the accused spouse.
  • Her total assignment to Caroline's mother and child's grandmother.
Finally, it was decided that Babis Anagnostopoulos' parents will be able to contact Lydia, 10.00 p.m. - 14.00 pm, the last five days of each month.

For me, two questions remain now. When is his trial going to take place? He has pleaded guilty (to manslaughter?) but not to premeditated murder, so will he change his plea? How long will his sentence be?

I wouldnt count on very long sentence.
I bet he will be free before 50 (on parole).
But if new stricter regulations start, he might get life sentence (no parole).
But when will they be implemented?
I think the trial will be massively covered by both British and Greek Press.
This thread will last for a long time.
The trial might start in the middle of 2022.

"For the second week in a row, defendant Menios Fourthiotis is attempting an unprecedented rinsing of the confessed murderer Babis Anagnostopoulos, insisting on the theory that Anagnostopoulos did not kill his wife Caroline, but instead confessed to the crime because it is a crime.

Specifically, on the front page of the newspaper Apokalyptika that is published this Sunday, it is mentioned that Babis Anagnostopoulos "was blackmailed to confess to a crime he did not commit in order not to kill his child".

The newspaper also claims that on Sunday it will reveal the name of the real killer.

This is the second consecutive week that the Apocalypse gives "forgiveness" to the woman killer who shocked Greece with the coldness of his crime.

However, the question remains whether the publications of the Apocalypse will be used by Anangnostopoulos. In statements made by the perpetrator himself after the publication of the previous page of the newspaper on ANT1, he did not take a position.

"As for the issue that has arisen in relation to the latest publications, I would not like to take a position," said M. Anagnostopoulos about the alleged revelations of Menios, however, the lawyer's comment on the same issue complicates the case.

The pilot's lawyer, Alexandros Papaioannidis, was asked if his client would take back the confession that he killed Caroline and did not explicitly rule out the possibility, answering characteristically .... "I do not know that".

However, the forthcoming "revelations" of Menios Fourthiotis are likely to lead to a complete reversal of the defendant's defense."

IMO he may be planning to blame CC - that she was going to kill their baby so he killed her????

What do you think?

What is really interesting, is the comment of the lawyer - noncommittal.

But maybe it is the way lawyers talk?

What does this really mean?
