So much of the info made public (such as interviews with B0 do not make sense.

C was killed supposedly because she would not stop struggling/screaming/trying to get away.

So when B saw what was being done to his wife through the small eyehole of tape around his eyes, was he calm and not struggling/screaming? Because we would expect him to get a little concerned at these actions, and then we would expect the suspects to turn on him and kill him, as they did C.

So why brutally kill the wife (and don't forget the dog) but leave an eyewitness?

Greece - Caroline Crouch, 20, Murdered, Athens, May 11, 2021 Thread #2

THE HUSBAND of murdered Brit has revealed the heart-breaking moment a police officer told him "she's gone, try to calm down" as he hugged his wife's body.

Pilot Charalambos Anagnostopoulos, 32, described in a shocking testimony what he remembers from the tragic night Caroline Crouch was killed by a group of burglars who also held a gun to their 11-month-old daughter Lydia.

MSM report of what B supposedly said to police.

starting around the 4:00 minute mark,

B: We never deadbolted* the front door . . . (we only deadbolted* it) when we went on vacation. We might forget to close the shutters, but the windows would always be closed and locked. Only in the basement do we leave a window nearly always in tilt-open mode* and the shutter open. This is the laundry room window and we leave it like that to air out the space/environment. That night for sure it was open (in tilt-open mode) because we had hung up clothes (to dry on the clothing line), and we hadn't picked them up yet.

*deadbolt: literally the word used here is lock, but I think this front door (like many doors) is locked just by being closed, and I think he is meaning here that he never took the extra step of deadbolting the door.
**tilt-open mode: in addition to opening and closing normally, some modern Greek windows can left in what I'd call "tilt-open mode" (I don't know if there is a better term in English for this), where they are left partially open, at an angle, and tilted inwards. See the first picture in this link.

The best way to hang up washing is outside - if you live in a house and have a garden. Open (even tilted) basement window at night is the weakest link of security and invitation to thieves. How can they resist?

Most Greeks always hang up clothes outside, unless the weather is bad (like rain), which may require them to be brought in. I don't remember hearing that it was raining that night. What was the weather like that night?

Let me see if I got this right:

It appears that B wasn't too concerned about security issues, as he wouldn't even bother to deadbolt his front door, and he nearly always left the basement window in tilt-open mode despite the property being directly adjacent to an empty lot. He didn't have an alarm system or external cameras. Then why did he have 6-8 cameras inside the house? Hmm . . . seems odd.

Some people have cameras inside their homes to capture what their pets are up to?
I guess it's possible.....

maybe not.

media interview between newspersons, a journalist, and LE

0:55 the journalist says to the newspersons that there was a difference of opinion between B&C over the purchase of the plot of land (which according to other reporting was bought with the intention to build upon) . . . as the plot was purchased in a region which is very isolated*
2:00 the newsman says that his understanding is that the contract/deed was signed 2 or 3 days before the murder and the journalist confirms this
2:45 the newswoman asks LE if the rumors of bleach being used to clean the crime scene are true. LE neither confirms nor denies this, but talks in generalities about how LE is on top of the case.
3:53 the newsman asks LE if EM was summoned to Greece's "Scotland Yard" as a POI in CC's murder case or because of the potential crime of falsely portraying herself as a psychologist. LE says he can't comment on that, and speaks in generalities.

*isolated: also meaning secluded, lonely, cut-off

I suppose one would hang up the clothes indoors if they were washed in the evening or at night.

Yes, that'd be understandable on some occasions, especially given the demands of caring for a baby. But why would this window need to be nearly always open (in tilt-open mode)? Are clothes being hung up to dry indoors all the time?

Ventilation? Some basement windows are high on the basement wall and have latches that aren't easy to access, so closing them every night would be a bother, especially if they don't open all the way anyway.

I am not as concerned about the window being opened as I am about the suggestion of a recent load of laundry.

To monitor the occupants

Perhaps someone who is suspicious of what occupants of the house or visitors might be getting up to.

Eight cameras seems a tad obsessive.

I know the type of windows you're referring to, but those aren't the windows being described here. Refer to my earlier post where I posted a link with pictures to the type of windows being described. We also have numerous pictures of the house from the MSM and we can see that it's a normal sized shutter, and therefore a normal sized window.

According to the description of the pilot, they had a height of 1.80 to 1.87, normal physique, one seems to have been 30 to 35 years old and the other 25 to 30. [auto translation]

How could he tell their age when their faces were covered?

BBM But it was a fairytale* relationship. Isn't the princess supposed to be locked away?

* For a refresher, people can refer back to earlier comments in this same thread, starting at around roughly post #52, for links to articles quoting people on the couple's 'fairtytale' status and then WS members' reactions and questions about it.
