What I find interesting is that the husband dismissed the therapist's statements as not having anything to do with the investigation. I don't think he liked the idea that their marriage was in any way relevant to the case, whereas the actions by LE tell me they do think it's relevant. The "therapist" put their relationship in the spotlight and he pointed in another direction.
SBM

If that's the case, then how do you explain this?

Speaking to Skai (TV news), (the lawyer for EM the hypnotherapist) stated that "The pilot had given written pre-approval in order for my client to give clarifications to the journalists about their (B&C's) relationship. EM wouldn't have given (these) clarifications if she hadn't received approval from the husband (to do so)."

(my translation) /end of translation

I think we need to make a distinction between someone's actions and someone's statements. As the saying goes, "actions speak louder than words." JMO

Does anyone else find it odd that the hidden money (9500 euros) was supposedly hidden in a Monopoly box in the living room. That doesn't seem like a really good hiding place to me. I mean what if they had guests over who wanted to play a game of Monopoly to pass the time? Adult guests? Teenagers? Older children? I mean if it's in the living room, even on a shelf, I don't think most people would think it rude if a guest pulled it off the shelf and opened it up to take a look at it. And you could be busy in the kitchen, making appetizers or dinner for your guests, and you wouldn't even notice them going through your secret stash of cash.

On second thought, I suppose if you had 6-8 interior cameras in your house, you could keep a good eye on your guests and see if they were messing with your Monopoly box . . . hmm

He may have given her approval but that doesn't mean he knew it would draw attention and speculation about their relationship. If he was angry or annoyed afterwards, and dismissed it as having nothing to do with the investigation, then to me that points to him minimizing any assumption that the state of their marriage has anything to do with the investigation. Imo

Fair point. Although I don’t get the impression they had many (any?) guests over. IMO

If you go back in the thread, you can see that EM made statements about how happily they were married, going so far as to say how excited C was about their plans to build a new house (this statement appears to be contradicted by later reporting which we discussed here that she didn't approve of buying a plot of land in a very isolated area) and gave statements reinforcing B's narrative of events of what happened to C on that fateful night. In fact EM even went as far to victim-blame C, suggesting she bore some responsibility for her own murder. EM also stated that she was in "constant communication" with B. So it's possible that it was intended for EM to act as an advocate for B and rehabilitate his character in the court of public opinion. This is one avenue that I'd think LE is investigating since EM is a POI. JMO

That's one reason I thought the whole scenario sounded like a movie plot. In a scene from Pablo Escobar, El Patron Del Mar, a couple of his hitmen pull out several rolled bills from a monopoly game sitting on the table when their hired men come looking for payment.

In fact almost every action by the burglars reminds me of something the cartel would do. Imo

Only if you were watching the live feed ;-)

Another thing that reminds me of the movies is a silver revolver. It reminds me of American westerns specifically. A silver revolver in Greece would be incredibly rare.

Yes, I read all that and that's why I pointed out that she couldn't possibly have that much insight after only eight visits. And yes, I think she is an important POI and that's why I think she will be key to the investigation. LE will be able to see all their communication through cell phone data or online communication. I don't know how easy it is to get a warrant there, but I would think they have enough probable cause. Imo

(SBM for focus)

It was mentioned in response to the same questions you're asking
Thanks, that's the answer I was looking for. I guess that eliminates any possibility that Caroline had her heart set on a beautiful property to build a home and he didn't want to put all of his money into it. Do we know if he plans to continue to build there? I wonder if he ends up selling the lot. Imo

And I wonder who will live in a "haunted" maisonette when B moves away? The landlord must be livid. His house is plastered all over the press but I doubt he wants this kind of in/fame.

Log into Facebook OK folks - this is the link to the Rescue Shelter where the dog came from. Scroll to date: 19 May. The dog's name is Roxy or Poxi (???) There is a kind of obituary for the poor fella. And a picture and info.

Bonnie and Clyde!!!!!! - Silver Colt:)

Thanks a lot for sending me down a Bonnie and Clyde rabbit hole! They had quite the arsenal of weapons when they were killed. Did you know that the M1911 Colt .45 is still used today? I was today years old when I found out!

Her plan to open a cat sanctuary on the property doesn't fit with her not wanting to buy the lot.

As a 'choose your own' mystery, it's probably not supposed to fit. It's like all these MSM articles saying that C's dog was a male Husky/Husky mix, but the actual shelter the puppy came from notes a female Collie mix. The only solid fact we appear to have is that C was murdered.

True, but I don't think the breed of the dog has as much importance as the property they planned to build on. Wasn't the sale supposed to go through around the time of the murder?

Maybe the sale went through a month before her murder, or maybe it happened a week after. My point of using the dog as an example is, we really don't know the facts, do we?
