Reports singled the word out from their text fight.

I see it as that it wouldn't have been singled out if a man called a woman stupid, but the other way around in the Macho culture it may have seemed deeply offensive.

I think the worm turned and for the first time, she said that word to him.

I'm thinking that he may have got into the habit of calling her stupid.

She must have been walking on eggshells.

I think many of us are actually virtually experiencing what poor CC was enduring... amirite?
What happens if someone confesses, but the police do not believe the story that the person confessing tells?

JMO... I feel this is a valid question...
But the, again, the way I understand it...
No experienced investigator (regardless of country) allows themselves to be in an investigation with a much studied potential POI without knowing the answers to any questions they present...

Alll... JMO...

According to information from the journalist, Arias Kalyva, the baby is with the parents of the 32-year-old, in Athens. The perpetrator had believed the plan he had made up in his mind.

[...]

For his part, the Trade Unionist of EL.AS. Stavros Balaskas, noted when asked about the facts and possible perpetrators who saw the light of day.

"It was nonsense. From the first moment we understood that it was him. Robbery we knew in the first three days that it had not happened. He had to stay quiet until we tied it. He had to stay relaxed. His arrest had to be substantiated. It surprised me that it took 8 hours to break. He shows that he is an idiot. If he did it in his anger, if he called the police he would not even go to prison for 4 years, now he will rot inside. Now with the direction he will take on everything. It can have no relief. Not a single person escapes the homicide. We let these crimes flow until it is substantiated. "When we got him, he was hugging Caroline's mother."

Kill your wife out of anger and not even get four years!
Wow doesn't put much value on a life.

Many men, including one who has recently been a world leader, have said that they do not find women sexually attractive when they become mothers.

Who? (I was about to bring up silly subjects as a joke...
but found that ANYONE I brought up may offend an individual reading here... Including MYSELF!!! Bwahahaha!)

Life is becoming way less fun for me... truth be told...:(

The prosecutor of the Court of First Instance filed criminal charges for 2 crimes and two misdemeanors against the 32-year-old pilot for the murder in Glyka Nera.

In particular, the charges she [he] faces are her [his] crimes:

  • Intentional homicide committed in a calm state of mind
  • Animal abuse

The disadvantages [misdemeanors?] are:

  • false accusation as he made other suspects of his actions
  • continuous false deposit

Even in his so called confession, he is still lying.

And yes, I admit to having some anger for the “therapist.” If CC’s life was so wonderful, then what in the world was the therapist needed for? And if you are going to say “post natal depression,” then we can’t say CC’s life was wonderful. The therapist’s comments just never made sense.

Of course-very rarely is it the whole truth, just mitigation in the hope he can negotiate a plea/lesser sentence. His story was obvious bs from day one, like a lot of them here.

Didn't believe the robbery story from the first I read of it, I know I'm not the only one to suspect him and his dodgy story from the start. None of it seemed credible. He seemed like a creepy groomer as soon as I heard about the age difference, especially re: how young she was when they got together. Teens are too inexperienced to realise when they're being lovebombed, JMO.

Poor Babis! Forensics doesn't back up his story of defending himself against a physical attack from C. His ego probably isn't thinking of that right now! Right, she threw the baby in the crib! What a heartless mother! Please. Dumb question, does it go to trial if a person confesses? How does that work?
I’m not sure about Greece but it wouldn’t ordinarily go to trial in the U.K. if a person confessed, it goes straight to reports and sentencing however, it’s unusual for a person to confess to murder because a solicitor normally will say take it to trial so that you can explain your mitigating circumstances.

Ya, there were many of us who were biting our tongues and sitting on our hands until they were numb; this thread nearly got closed because some of us (um, me and others) weren't following the rules.

From the Mail article:

He told Greek news site Protothema that detectives had immediately noticed the 'coldness' of Babis, adding that one officer had even taken his baby daughter away from him at the scene to 'protect' the girl.

Upon investigating the house, Mr Kalliakmanis said officers quickly uncovered signs the burglary had been staged - saying that very few of the cupboards and wardrobes had been disturbed.

Typically, burglars will rip open every potential hiding place in search of valuables, Mr Kalliakmanis said.

But in this house, they appeared only to have searched in the places that Babis said valuables had been stored.

He added that officers had concealed their initial suspicions from Babis and pursued his burglary narrative to keep him calm, all the while believing the true suspect was much closer to home.

Caroline Crouch murder: Husband hugs her mother at memorial before confessing to killing | Daily Mail Online

They were married in 2018, and she gave birth to their first child - a daughter - in June last year.

But a friend said last night that the idyllic images were a mirage - in fact, Babis was a jealous and controlling husband and Caroline was deeply unhappy.

'She could not have the time she wanted with her friends and she was constantly expressing her complaints about his behavior,' a source told Greek news site Ethnos.
