eta: Born in July 2001, died in May 2021, she was a teenager for the entire relationship/marriage, while this guy was in his late 20s/early 30s.

C was apparently a very talented girl growing up, both intellectually and with athletics (out running the boys, kick boxing). She even spoke her native Philippine language, Tagalog, along with Greek, English, and French. One thing that stands out for me is that her father, David, was an oil exec, which means money - and, B is quoted in other articles (not this one) as feeling humiliated by C for noting that his parents didn't make all that much money. His father was an engineer and his mother a teacher? Of course, since B said this, we truly don't know if she ridiculed his family finances or not.

Your did a great job with the translation, Patrick, although I must admit that, before watching the video, I had no idea what you meant in the bolded out part. He must mean that those crimes, that she supposedly found out that B was involved in, shocked her/ drove her crazy and caused tension/fights between her and him (at least that's how I see it.).

We are aware of the ridiculous arguments that B will present today to the judge, in order to make himself look good (she was unstable/abusive to us and our baby/I lost it/I killed her accidentally by excessive hugging/I had my child's best interest in mind), so I'm curious as to what the investigation by the interrogator (as AK calls it) will reveal about possible involvement of other parties. Unfortunately, I'm not sure we'll ever gonna find out the entire truth, especially if certain types of people are involved, but I hope we end up with a better understanding of the crime (so to speak).

We’ve been on WS long enough to have called this a mile off. Occam’s razor- if it sounds like a ridiculous scenario it most probably is actually the simplest explanation. I’ve been sitting on my hands for so long they are numb but all that surprises me in this latest news is that he actually admitted it. Albeit likely with a few details changed so he doesn’t have to confess to being an abusive manipulative sociopathic husband who allowed his daughter to sit next to her mother’s corpse.

Robbers don’t break into a home to ‘torture’ and kill one person while leaving the other unscathed with not even a scratch or a single bruise on his face. This suggests that he tied Caroline’s body up and positioned her to look like she’d been tied up and assaulted when in reality any injuries she had were likely inflicted by him. I am positive that it will be revealed B was an abusive husband. That Caroline was planning to pack her bags, take her daughter and leave after an assault. He instead planned to murder her, disabling the cameras before hand shows pre meditation. - cameras I think were there to spy on Caroline when he was not home, perhaps linked to an app on his phone where he could monitor her every move then return home to interrogate her about what she’d been doing that day,

He must have spent those hours afterwards staging the scene, perhaps he killed the dog as an after thought to create the intruder theory ‘why would I hang my own dog?’ Tied himself up and made sure his phone was with him. The red flags were everywhere, right from the word go. MOO

Is it possible that the ‘therapist’ did have knowledge of Caroline’s intention to leave, but the police encouraged her to go public and state that they were happily married, Caroline never told her anything bad about her husband etc, so as to make B believe that they were really considering the intruder theory, and stop him from attempting to flee?

Like a lot of you, I was somewhat bothered from the outset that she was only 20 & described as a Student but yet had already managed to fit in marriage & the birth of her first child. She seems to have been involved with B since her early teens. Hard to understand how a grown man can connect on the same level, emotionally, intellectually or otherwise, with a 15 year old girl.

It reminds me of a similar high profile case in Ireland. In a bizarre move, the husband of Rachel O’Reilly RIP freely gave a TV Interview along with Rachel’s Mother pleading to the public for help in finding the killer. Shortly afterwards he was charged & found guilty of her Murder! His huge ego & narcissism was such that he believed he could fool Police, Rachel’s family and the public in general. He was wrong. An evil individual who robbed his 2 little boys of their loving Mother. Story covered in a Sky Documentary ‘Killer in my Village’ for any of you interested.

So I guess she would have been about 14 when they first met, just starting high school?

The poor girl didn’t get to enjoy any sense of independence or freedom throughout her teens with this guy. Seems to be all pointing at a toxic relationship.

1. B had been told a tale by his fellow pilot of a similar robbery (probably in details not given publicly) which made it believable to begin with. How does B's story differ? When did this event occur (if it did)?

Can anyone give me a link to this story please?
Did this story really happen?
Could B's fellow pilot be is moral accomplice?
Did this fellow pilot say great things about B to the media?

2. Did B state that he used his nose to phone his neighbour or the police?
Is that even possible?

I read about these once but do not now how to find them. They made me suspicious of him apart from other aspects of the case.

Yes, it really happened. Here's the background on it, via The Tunnel. It turns out, in all his brilliance, B simply copied this robbery, with a few changes to make it his own. When B's pilot instructor found out B's scenario, the instructor spoke to LE. I doubt that this guy was involved. He said average things about B to the media, like everyone got along with him, treated him like a son.
