I wonder why the baby was awake at that time? Did he get her out of her cot so that Caroline could not take her and leave?
That would be my guess. He gave the impression that he was afraid she was going to hurt the baby, or take the baby, yet he also said she told him she didn't want the baby. At one point he said he wanted the three of them to sleep in the bed. We may never know all the details, but I believe he made a conscious decision to kill her before removing the memory card. I think now he's claiming he didn't remove it and flush it until later.
Imo

I thought LE said that was the last image of him on the camera footage, not that Caroline had taken a picture of it herself. She reportedly tried to book a hotel room around midnight. I also thought she was asleep for more than 6 minutes. According to the data it was almost two hours. I could be wrong but that's what it sounded like from the time her heartrate slowed until it suddenly increased. Imo
But that picture from the camera was found on her phone. B with the baby. LE think it is important. Did she screenshot it herself (she had app connected to camera) or was it sent to her? And why?
From the link:
"The latter image was screen grabbed by Ms Crouch, using an mobile phone app linked to the security system, just seconds after midnight and about four hours before she died"

Who the heck is leaking all this evidence to the press?

Ok. I never realized they found it on her phone. I thought they got the data from the memory card. I don't know why she would have taken a screenshot or why they think it's important. All it shows is him texting with her while they were in an argument. Then she apparently went to sleep soon afterwards.

Why did C take this photo?

A photo taken by Caroline, with the pilot cuddling with the baby on the living room sofa. The photo was taken at 12 a.m. for an unknown reason, from the application she had on her mobile phone that is connected to the cameras, with ELAS looking for the reason that Caroline took this frame, when she had retired to her bedroom.

A riddle that is expected to be answered as the tangle of the case unfolds.

Eerie photo of living room where husband 'staged burglary after murdering wife'

Maybe she was texting a girlfriend who asked, "what's he doing now?", and sent the photo, "see, I can't leave because now he has the baby"
Just a guess based on my own traumas.

I don't know, but they have not cited a source, so unless it's information from LE, I'm not sure it's credible. I can't think of a reason why she'd take a screenshot of him sitting on the couch while they are in the middle of texting each other.

Exactly! Baby as a hostage! For some reason LE think this pic is important.

Lydia was born in June 2020. I don't think Athens would have been locked down continually since then so surely there were times when B's parents could have visited to see Lydia. Perhaps his parents did not approve of the shotgun wedding?

Starting from 4 May 2020, after a 42-day lockdown, Greece began to gradually lift restrictions on movement and to restart business activity.
Yes, from May 4th 2020, till early November of the same year there were no restrictions in place in Athens.
Another poster cited Caroline's alleged diary, and specifically a segment where she alludes to not having the best relationship with her in laws, so you could be right. However, the newsman, in the video that Patrick posted, reported specifically that B's parents had never held their granddaughter in their arms, because B himself kept them at distance. Perhaps it's something his parents revealed to the authorities, or maybe his brother did. And, given what we already know about him, it wouldn't surprise me at all.

And mind you - his family never defended him publicly or talked about their "happy" marriage (I mean before he confessed).

Yes, stopping her from leaving to a hotel by holding the baby hostage before he killed her would be important!

My heart breaks for baby L. Even fake therapist said the infant was sad. In the middle of the night she was jostled between parents instead of sleeping peacefully in her crib. And that is only the beginning of her bumpy road into the future.

Now Im reading that C's parents want EXCLUSIVE custody of baby L. Good!

This poor baby. Both sets of grandparents are technically strangers to this little baby. She must be wondering where her mother is.

Im sad b/c I think she is already scarred for life. First 12 months of life are crucial for developing healthy emotional personality. Not to mention what still awaits her.

Maybe she wanted reassurance that her daughter was ok before she went to sleep? She wouldn’t have been able to sleep if she thought she was in danger.
Whatever her motivation for looking into hotel rooms that night, she either abandoned it because she realised it was too late or decided (or was persuaded) to wait until the morning. Which gave B his window to act. JIMO

If C's parents have exclusive custody of Lydia, it would definitely be best for the child as if is so far from the prison to be able to visit it regularly. But what I am concerned about is what happens when he comes out of prison? I hope C's parents can legally adopt her in the meantime and move to a place unknown to B.

It certainly seems like an important photo which could have different interpretations.

I think baby L cant be adopted as long as B has parental rights. But Im not a lawyer.

"I've honestly regretted what I did. I destroyed my life and my family. I'm fully aware that sorry is a very minor word, that in no way can alleviate the pain that I caused."
Don't know about you, guys, but if I wasn't aware of what he was referring to, I'd assume that he only had an affair, or something like that. "I destroyed MY life, MY family.". He literally took another person's life, HIS WIFE's life, for God's sake, and that's all he cares about. He's not regretting the killing, he's regretting that he was caught, and that he's gonna be (barely) punished for that. After shifting the entire blame on Caroline, he even goes on to say....
"There is no evidence of my guilt of the crimes I am accused of, which is the first and most essential of the conditions of the law that must be met in order to be possible to impose my temporary detention ".
I guess confessing to a murder doesn't meet the criteria to be considered as "evidence of someone's guilt of the crimes someone is accused of", at least not in B's mind. And then comes this..
"I have not made any preparatory action to facilitate my escape but on the contrary, whenever I was summoned by the authorities, I presented myself voluntarily and immediately without creating the slightest problem or obstructing the criminal proceedings. Also, I have never been a fugitive or fugitive in the past, I have a permanent and stable income and in no case am I charged with violating residence restrictions or escape or irrevocable convictions for similar or other criminal acts."

Twelve "I"s and eight "my"s - that says it all.
