Thanassis Katerinopoulos, a retired brigadier who leads the union of Greek police officers, told Alpha TV: “There is more to this and authorities must go all the way to the end.”

“No one kills out of jealousy. There was a plan,” Katerinopoulos said, suggesting that Crouch may have found out about activities her husband was involved with that she disagreed with.

“In the murder, there is only one person, the culprit, but I believe there are others in another system which drove him to the murder of his wife for other reasons.”

Greek pilot who confessed to killing wife may have had help: report

I think they have some actual evidence to prove this was the case, but are looking for more and for others involved.

If human trafficking is going on, then perhaps this post in the thread is significant. I mean why did B take C to this particular island in 2017? How did he know about it? Was it by chance? Or was it significant and related to the "other crimes" AK is referring to?

When I read that, I was not sure if B went alone and he sent her the photos to put on Facebook or if they both went together. Usually men go alone to those places.
However, I just realised that Caroline spoke Tagalong (her father said this recently) which is the most understood language in the Philippines. So perhaps he took her as she could be the interpreter.

It makes sense now to me that B had been surveilling C as he did. I am now wondering how long C was at least suspicious of him and if she had ever told anyone about it. Since C's murder perhaps someone has come forward with their suspicions to police having recognised him via his photos in the media.

I also think it is too far-fetched. This island is popular with tourists and maybe C chose it as a holiday destination. She knew the country, it is her mum's homeland.

Why did C take this photo?

A photo taken by Caroline, with the pilot cuddling with the baby on the living room sofa. The photo was taken at 12 a.m. for an unknown reason, from the application she had on her mobile phone that is connected to the cameras, with ELAS looking for the reason that Caroline took this frame, when she had retired to her bedroom.

A riddle that is expected to be answered as the tangle of the case unfolds.

Eerie photo of living room where husband 'staged burglary after murdering wife'

I keep wondering about this, and the ambiguity about when it was taken. The timestamp clearly shows the time as 00:00:23 (23 seconds after midnight) but the time that the “footage was taken” has been reported in that Mirror article and in the Protothema article that they reference as 12:35am:

My best guess is that C was using the app on her phone to access the camera footage at 12:35am and took a screenshot of what was happening in the living room 35 minutes earlier. Why is still a mystery, but I can't help wondering if she took more and they were deleted...

PROSECUTION OF HUMAN TRAFFICKING IN GREECE
The government maintained law enforcement efforts. Article 323A of the criminal code criminalized sex and labor trafficking and prescribed penalties of up to 10 years’ imprisonment and a fine. These penalties were sufficiently stringent and, with regard to sex trafficking, commensurate with those for serious crimes, such as rape. Police investigated 25 cases with 148 suspects (28 cases with 136 suspects in 2018); 21 were sex trafficking cases and four were forced labor cases (27 were sex trafficking cases and one was a forced labor case in 2018). The government prosecuted 33 defendants (25 in 2018); 20 for sex trafficking and 13 for forced labor (22 for sex trafficking and three for forced labor in 2018). First instance courts convicted 15 traffickers (14 traffickers in 2018); 11 for sex trafficking and four for forced labor (11 for sex trafficking and three for forced labor in 2018). Courts acquitted 18 individuals for sex trafficking and five individuals for forced begging. Judges issued sentences ranging from four months’ to 27 years’ imprisonment with fines from €50,800 ($57,080) to €100,000 ($112,360), compared with two to 24 years’ imprisonment with fines from €10,000 ($11,240) to €75,000 ($84,270) in 2018.

I agree with it being too far fetched. I also think they chose the holiday destination as it was her mum's homeland.

I think if any trafficking went on it would be criminals/terrorists.
My money is on him being involved in drug smuggling.

I couldn’t help but notice he and Caroline took a trip to Dubai. There are pictures of them around the 1st of May which was a mere 10 days before Caroline was murdered. Was that trip a holiday or something related to “business”. It is another area known for people smuggling. MOO

So he is in a protected wing in prison. But surely after the trial in 18 months he will be transfered to general population or a part with other murderers, right? They cant protect him forever.

Do you remember reading about a black BMW that was seen leaving the area on the day of the murder? What happened about that?

I still think it's important, given AN's reaction on that last phone call and how she immediately asked to rewatch the car footage and hear the times it was seen again.

I couldn't help but notice that the second time of 5:30am is the same time a “fourth” accomplice was spotted apparently keeping a lookout outside the house (which we haven't heard about in a while):

“The police have at their disposal a video, in which the figure of the fourth accomplice has been recorded, the man who during the unthinkable robbery and murder, kept watch outside the house.

“The time was 5:30 in the morning and the camera has recorded the man being outside the house and keeping a lookout. This material is already thoroughly checked for the smallest detail, with the help of the advanced technology available to the Greek police.”
