If B was already smuggling drugs when he married C, it might have been in his own best interest for him to claim that he could not afford to have a wife who did not work plus a baby so he would need financial assistance from both parents. Consequently, he kept the extra money he received hidden so no one would be suspicious.

According to the article I sent earlier C wanted a divorce even before the sessions with therapist began. She broke contact with B's family, wanted to baptise baby L in Phillipines. And B knew all these and bought the plot of land in only his name 6 days before the murder.

A plot where it is impossible to build as there is a stream there.

Did he perhaps forge her signature on the bank loan?

It would be a very serious offence. In Poland it carries a sentence from 5 to 20 years of prison. But C didn't have any income.

protothema.gr July 4

Boat captain discusses the mission to transport B from C's memorial back to the mainland.

"Caroline's killer laughed as if he were on a cruise" - What happened to the secret transport operation in Skiathos

«Ο δολοφόνος της Καρολάιν γελούσε σαν να ήταν σε κρουαζιέρα» - Τι έγινε στη μυστική επιχείρηση μεταφοράς στη Σκιάθο

"Initially, the police had leaked that Babis Anagnostopoulos would be transported to Athens by an EL.AS helicopter that landed in Alonissos"

"However, in no case would they let the experienced private pilot fly with a vehicle whose operation he knows with his eyes closed . They were even capable of trying to shoot down the helicopter in a possible and desperate attempt to escape from the police cordon, knowing full well that the return trip to Athens would have Korydallos as its final destination."

I initially read this as third party shooting down the helicopter, but I think it's a poor translation (?). More likely that LE were worried B would deliberately crash the helicopter.

Would be great if one of our Greek experts could translate properly!

Yes, agreed! As somebody who has a poor understanding of even worse translations, I was like, what, B is some sort of James Bond? Does he have an accomplice who will shoot the chopper down? Will Miss MoneyPenny be waiting nearby the crash in a flashy cigar boat?

Wow, he openly dated a minor; even his coworkers knew way back when: "In 2016, shortly before Babis left Santorini, it became known that he was having an affair with a minor."

However, they'd (LE) never let the experienced private pilot fly in a means (of transport) the operation of which he knew with his eyes closed. They (LE) had (thought/judged) him (as) capable even (of) attempting to bring down/crash the helicopter

(my translation) /end of translation

Remember the context here. B isn't officially a suspect, and is therefore not handcuffed. Of course LE would have had their own pilot of the helicopter as they wouldn't have let him pilot the helicopter, but how could they ensure that a non-handcuffed B wouldn't rush and overtake the controls or otherwise sabotage the helicopter before LE could restrain him?

Patric, nice to hear from you again:) I have a question for you as our expert:) Now I read that the plot of land was signed for both of C and B. Do you know which is true reading the Greek press? And does Mr AK appear on tv? If yes, what are his hypotheses? Thank you:)

Hello, Dotta

Greek MSM: B took C's mother's money and purchased the plot of land solely in his name.

AK has been threatened and his blog was shut down by hacker(s). But he's fighting back, and started up an alternate blog site.

Sounds like they were definitely living beyond their means if Babis couldn't even afford the downpayment on the lot. I wonder if his "blurred" state of mind will turn into a "not guilty by reason of insanity defense."
He's already there.
The "crime of passion" defense is technically catagorized as an insanity defense.

It's not hidden in the Monopoly game.
He was gifted thousands to buy land but only made a $3000 down payment.
Where's all the money?

The Sun July 5

An inside source talking about LE transferring B from the memorial service by boat:

"We weren't going to take any risks. Our relationship had been built on trust and we knew at that point that this individual was a dangerous man. He was capable of anything."

...
The UK-trained pilot was reportedly not transported to Athens by chopper - as had been previously reported - but instead by boat, then by a special transport plane.

This was due to fears that he might bring the helicopter down, fearing police were finally onto him and his time was up.

ETA: This article is different from the earlier one sighting the mission, as it's not talking about the captain of the boat, but a police source.

I find it interesting that the father mentions C being “honest” and that if she found out about anything illegal she wouldn’t stand for it. I’m not sure whether he is talking with any additional knowledge or if he is rationalising C’s death in terms of rumours of B being involved in other criminal activities not yet fully fleshed out. But i do find it interesting he appears to have made those comments unprompted (although not sure of full context of the tape).
(I have been trying to follow the ins and outs of this case - but getting confused as to potential ulterior motives, what is fact, and what’s rumour and supposition. But I will continue to follow this until the truth comes out - whatever that ends up being!).

Yes, what he says is very interesting.
Also, when asked about motive, he says something like 'I can't talk about motive, I'm afraid' - as if he knows the motive, but for obvious reasons isn't going to reveal any details.
He goes on to talk generally about Caroline - and here he includes 'honest', and how she'd report anything illegal to the police etc.
So it does sound (to me) like Caroline's dad is confirming the rumours.

I picked up that too,he also stuttered and stammered and was trying to choose his words very carefully.
