Or they are being careful. Don't want the mob to knock him off before they fully investigate him.

Technically he isnt sentenced yet, right? And other inmates should "fume" upon their own wickedness that led them to prison. I guess B cell mates are there to squeeze info out of him.

B is a violent offender. Many people who aren't in jail (myself included) want to know why he's in the non-violent section of the prison.

Because he isnt sentenced yet?

Is that how it works? I hope not. He's a confessed violent offender. If there are others with the same status at the prison, bring them to his cozy little dorm to wait for their sentencing too.

And just before I say goodnight, I am still waiting for B to squeeze out just one tiny tiny bit of remorse and regret.

Apparently they're going to change the photo on C's grave this Thursday.

Mod Note:

Thread is once again open. Please do not discuss minors outside of anything directly stated in MSM. Sleuthing and discussing grandparents or where you feel a child should be placed is out of bounds. Also please do not refer to individuals that have not been named in media such as FB friends or other distant relatives.

11.49pm 21st June, 2021 Greek media reported that
KILLER GETS DISOWNED BY HIS FAMILY
https://www.thesun.co.uk/news/15315...t-husband-strangled-wife-babis-agnostopoulos/
Was that just their initial reaction to the news that he had confessed to the murder because it appears to me that they must have changed their minds since. Because later reports have said that B's brother was going to visit him in prison today perhaps to bring things to him or to console him that C's parents now have sole custody with visiting rights for his parents, that his father is helping him with the house project and he phones his parents all the time from prison. I guess they don't have much choice so it will be interesting at the trial to see how supportive of him they will be then.

I imagine B has been busy telling them how it was all C's fault that he was forced to kill her and how he is the victim.

I really do hope they find out that he was involved in other crimes and was seeing someone else.

Because he isnt sentenced yet?
Yes, once the case goes to trial, depending on what the sentence is, they will likely move him to his "permanent residence." Imo

Besides, he might prove to be a fantastist confessing. There are many unstable people who "confess" to crimes they never committed. There must be evidence and trial and then as a convicted criminal he will be placed in appopriate place. As for now he is a suspect. Not that I defend him, mind you:) But this case is faaar away from being resolved. We are only at 3rd act of a Greek Tragedy.

To be honest I'd be astounded if B's family had all disowned him. Firstly they're probably hoodwinked by him - he is obviously able to charm those who have utility for him. Secondly it sounds like he is doing a good job of discrediting C.

he sounds like a complete conman and raging - film - level controller, a user and liar. He sounds like someone who has no compunction or inhibition about lying to get what he needs, or killing to defend what he has. I am sure, like others here, C found out something he couldn't afford to let slip to the wider world.

her diary contents, if legitimate, are truly alarming. The police were right - the therapist was indeed part of the key to this case.

It sounds ridiculous but the man's eyes are soulless. Everything he says is for theatre or manipulation.

i Wonder if he is in a more salubrious area of prison to avoid certain inside inmates with connections to B's nefarious associations, finishing him off.

how tragic that a young woman had to lose her life to protect the kind of men society doesn't welcome.

The killer (NZealand) of Grace M had the same strange, out of touch with reality facial expression as B. He was also a conman and absolute liar.

He's probably in a maximum security prison for that very reason. He's accused of a violent crime. I think the Greek press nicknamed the area the "VIP" section because it's apart from the general population.

It doesn't necessarily mean he's getting special treatment. It's probably like being placed in jail, or a holding facility, while waiting for trial. Once he's convicted they will likely place him in the appropriate facility. IMO

In Poland those who await trial arent kept in prisons with convicted criminals but in a different facility especially for them.

Yes, it's the same in the US. They would go to jail before being convicted and sent to prison. It sounds like Korydallas houses both kinds of inmates, only they are separated. I think I read that originally it was intended as a holding facility, but according to an article upthread, it is overcrowded and conditions are inhumane. Imo

Holding facility - that's exactly the name! Thanks:) I was struggling to find the correct expression. Eng is a foreign language for me.

This interview with C's father made me feel so sad :( he wishes he could have blown B's lying head off! How on Earth it must feel to have felt you were grieving with your son in law only to find he did it and is now discrediting her. The pain of knowing her last months even were so unhappy :(

Caroline Crouch's father wishes he'd 'blown head off' killer husband | Daily Mail Online

I agree that B reminds me so much of Grace Millane's killer. Dissociates from reality, easy and fantastical pathological lies, superficially charming, a penchant for the materialistic and living beyond their means....

and ultimately gratified by power over vulnerable creatures. The thing that really disturbs me about B though is the puppy ... strangling during sex is sexual, B says C was a crime of passion...but the puppy....that was cold blooded and dangerous. And now we are finding out C's death was just as pre meditated too. :(
