You made me google something! Argh. Apparently Polish idioms are the best of any culture, but what does it mean??? Here, in Canada, and the US, teachers make jack all.
"Earn coconuts" earn A LOT (coconuts being exotic and expensive) :)

I just read that it is 43 degrees in Athens today so "cold" B might be hotting up a bit in the prison while he feeds the kittens, does the cleaning and acts as a clerk. He's lucky as he at least has a window in his cell.

I also just read that he bought the plot of land only 6 days before he murdered C.

So mission accomplished - find a young innocent girl, marry her, get her pregnant, demand that her parents pay her 250 euros per week as she is not working, isolate her from family and friends, surveille her every move both inside and outside the house, find a plot of land and a project house, get a loan for 160,000 euros, demand that both parents contribute to it as you only have 5,000 euros then 6 days later, murder your wife, put your baby on top of her when she's dead to keep it quiet, murder the puppy, then tell everyone that robbers took the 80,000 euros that parents had given you and killed you wife and puppy so that you can live in the house in your own name with only a 5,000 euros contribution and add a swimming pool - all in a few years!
Fait d'accompli!

I thought his contribution was $3K euro? Let's not exaggerate to make him look good! Ο 33χρονος έδωσε 3.000 ευρώ ως προκαταβολή για την αγορά του και την ημέρα που συντάχθηκε το συμβόλαιο αγοραπωλησίας

The fact that he can't actually build the house on the land is a tiny bit of justice. Didn't this almighty 'golden boy' pilot do his work before purchasing the plot?

ETA auto translation of quotes sections for @Dotta:

The 33-year-old gave 3,000 euros as an advance payment for his purchase and on the day the purchase contract was drawn up,...

He could not build on the plot
As the show revealed, Babis Anagnostopoulos was informed a week before he confessed his crime that a house could not be built on the said plot. The plot is located near a stream, something that the 33-year-old pilot did not know when he signed the purchase contract.

In such cases the stream should be demarcated and then any construction should be erected. This process, according to the report, is quite time consuming, as actions are required from public services.

Bravo for the Prosecutor! I believed in wisdom of the Court:) 5000 families ready to adopt baby L? WOW! There are so many good and sensitive people.
That is so heart-warming, isn't it? I hope it may bring a little bit of comfort to C's parents too.

He may even ask for the famous reward 300K as he pointed to the killer! I read it on twitter and burst out laughing. His audacity is limitless.

I don't know if C's parents are all that wealthy. The living expenses on an island would not be as expensive as it would be in Athens. I suspect that C's father has good superannuation they can live off but C's mother runs a laundry there. I guess she will get others to manage it now. I just think that C's mother is a generous, loving woman. B's father is an architect/civil engineer so he would earn good money but maybe he is not a generous man. We don't really know what type of relationship B had with him if he had not even met Lydia. Surely B could have taken Lydia there to meet his parents even if C did not wish to go.

They are wealthy enough to have multiple house staff.

Well I thought I read that he contributed 5,000 euros - 3,000 euros deposit is not much. (BTW your links don't work.)
How could he even borrow 160,000 euros on a 3,000 euros per month income?

The stream should have been revealed in the contract. I wonder what they will do with it now? If I were the father, I would sell it.

I do feel really sorry for B's family too. They have lost a daughterinlaw, and the son they thought they had, and a normal relationship with their granddaughter. And as well as the heartbreak, they have (possibly) shame as well. Their friends and neighbours will have no idea what to say to them, or how to help them. It is also a tragedy for them.

He might need to, to pay B's lawyer's fees.

There is only 1 link and it's working for me so I don't know what the matter is. I'll post it again:

I thought his contribution was $3K euro

Little Lydia's grandmothers cried with emotion when they met
29/06/2021 | 13:58
Little Lydia is now in the arms of Susan de la Cuesta, who took care of the child temporarily after a prosecutor's decision.

As Vangelis Galanis, an associate of lawyer Thanasis Harmanis who has taken over Caroline's family, told DEBATER, the process took place in a very positive atmosphere.

As he said, when the two grandmothers met, they both cried out of emotion. The mother of the confessed murderer gave little Lydia to Susan, who took her and held her for a long time. She explained some practical and medical issues for the child. The pilot's mother even asked to come with her, but Susan wanted to be alone with the child. Little Lydia was calm. She cried for only 5 minutes and then fell asleep in her grandmother's arms, said Mr. Galanis.

The final decision on Lydia's care is expected to be made in September, where it will be decided who will take care of the child.

What the authorities are looking for in bank accounts

The bank accounts of the detainee now for the murder of his wife, Babi Anagnostopoulos, but also of 20-year-old Caroline, are the element of the pre-investigation investigation of the Security Homicide Department that is still pending. From the first moment that the police officers turned their suspicions on the 33-year-old pilot, the Bank of Greece was asked to allow all banking institutions to issue possible accounts, except those that were known to their relatives, the amounts that may have been deposited to them and their movements in recent years. And this in order to have a complete picture of the couple's life and to illuminate the slightest possibility behind what the perpetrator finally testified that there is some other motive.

This investigation also includes the bank from which B. Anagnostopoulos testified that he applied for a loan in order to start the construction of a house in the near future, an amount for which there were initially theories that he was the target of the "robbers", created by the 33-year-old. as a script to cover up the murder of his wife. This is because so far it is not confirmed whether the loan agreement was completed and whether or not a large amount of money was disbursed. The Homicide Department informed the Prosecutor's Office about these requests through the case file it submitted and, when they are forwarded, they will be brought to the attention of the investigator who is now handling the case.
