"Arrogance" or "Pomposity" is a better translation.

That makes more sense. I did not think he wore a toupee as he seemed to have plenty of hair.

More insights from C's godbrother

Carol was a closed character, Angelos said. She did not speak easily, she did not open up. Just 2 months ago was their last communication. She seemed troubled as if she was hiding something as he reveals today on MEGA's camera.

"She was an angel, a holy girl with a great soul and heart. We talked about two months ago. She seemed happy but it seemed to me that something was bothering her and in the end I was right. She seemed confused at times and a little anxious as we talked. After the birth she was not well and she showed it. Babis was pressuring her to do something that she did not want to do. "As if he was planning something and she did not want to do what Babis was telling her," he added.

Babis who played the loving husband until the last moment and gave a theatrical recital even in the cemetery. "The hug he gave to his mother-in-law was a knife in everyone's heart," he stressed.

How do you interpret that Angelo thinks B wanted C to be involved with something she did not wish to do?

Perhaps B was wanting her to help him in organised crime????

Going to Souda?

Yes. B may have wanted C to go to Souda to set up a base for his activities????
A/T K said she went there. I read that her British citizenship was important. And also the person (C?) wasn't very happy to be there. But how should I know really? They are only speculations and rumours.

Well I forgot to post this but I read an article that said that a photo of a house in Souda was saved by C on her mobile/computer so that led to the speculation. But when the owner of the house was called he said there may have been an enquiry but nobody had come to see it.

Perhaps C started looking at Souda and she then found out more about B's plans and refused to get involved.

AK said she went. The owner might distance himself/herself (?) as I wrote earlier a few pages away. Nobody knows what is going on - that is for sure :) Besides, we have a heatwave here and my brain is boiling.

What we know for sure is that she did not want to stay in the marriage. It was probably the abusive relationship that she didn't want to be involved in. Her husband may have been involved in illicit activities, but I would think her main concern was getting away from him. She probably felt trapped and imprisoned, being dependent on him financially with a baby to take care of.

She may have been uncomfortable reaching out to her family or asking for help. There is a certain degree of shame associated with DV. Victims feel it's their fault for choosing such a person or that there was something they should have done to stop it.

Caroline was probably about to take the hardest step for anybody in an abusive relationship. She had started making plans to leave. This is the most dangerous time for a woman and I believe this case is no different. Her husband was not about to let her go.

I think the media and some LE find it difficult to believe that a husband would kill for this reason. That might explain why they are looking for another connection or ulterior motives.

IMO

Although I agree this guy was ultra controlling and would easily kill to prevent loss of control - as seen so often in DV, DV is pretty rife in Greece isn't it? I wouldn't have thought it would be so novel. The criminal investigator with the Tunnel tv show, did receive a phonecall suggesting Caroline had discovered something new.

she had obviously wanted to leave for some time, but maybe this info was the final last straw that prompted the argument - the police have access to all the data, messages, emails, and events he was involved in. I can't see LE releasing that they are sure there were other shady dealings without any evidence.

i also find it hard to believe that B could cold bloodedly murder his wife and the puppy with no previous history of criminality etc - everyone I've ever met in forensic psych has history going back to how they behaved at school if not nursery. Desire for wealth and no inhibitions on procuring it, often lead people down a path of criminality. Drugs are a viable income for ship, plane crews etc given smuggling - especially during Covid where lockdowns have curtailed supplies and made them more expensive.

I have the same impresion.
I feel like the media make a soap opera out of it.

I think the criminal investigator from the tv show is the same man who said a husband does not just kill his wife because she wants a divorce.
Yet we have seen this happen over and over again, and domestic violence can in fact, escalate to murder. There does not need to be a history of criminal activity.

Jeffrey McDonald, Scott Peterson, Patrick Frazee, Chris Watts and many others, killed their partners without a prior history of crimes.

I think the "last straw" was the fact that Caroline wanted to leave. I don't think she suddenly decided to leave because she discovered something new about him.

The evidence investigators have released is that an argument ensued around midnight, Caroline tried to book a hotel room around the same time, B disabled the camera about 2 1/2 hours before returning upstairs to kill her, then went to great lengths to cover up the crime.

There may have been shady dealings, but I think LE has all they need to prove the murder was premeditated. Anything else can be added to the charges, but I still think he killed her because she wanted to leave, and not because she discovered he was involved in nefarious activities. The murder just seems too personal to me.

Is proving motive even necessary in Greece? His past activity may not even come into play in relation to the murder. They may only need to prove premeditation.

So... when B's mother and brother went to deliver the baby to C's mother, they simply sat her on granma's lap in the front. They had her all this time and couldn't buy a car seat? I know granma was/is a teacher and can't afford one, but what about gramps? He's an architect, surely he'd have some savings to get one? Couldn't they have borrowed one from a friend or neighbor? What's going on here? ETA: Couldn't they just take the one that was in B's car? Not like he's using it at the moment.

Are you sure? I read baby L was seated at the back. Baby seat is obligatory in cars.
